I get sea sickness and motion terror. Luckily, meclizine works wonders for me (no side effects) in the former and about half of the latter.
I'm really glad you found something that works for you 🙂

I am just OK with burgers, but Guy's are truly something else! Luckily, I can't eat a lot of food at one time, otherwise I would probably eat three. I don't know if its the flavor or the texture or the fact that you can add your own toppings, but they are definitely my favorite of all hamburgers ! Concerning your comment on food waste.... planning how much I believe I will be able to eat at each meal is how I roll.
I love burgers and I find Guy's to be a HUGE upgrade over the old ones Carnival used to have. They're not my favorite burgers of all time anywhere but they're certain up there. I love being able to load them up with tons of pickles and the cheese is really good too- 1

I do strongly recommend bringing a printout though, someone in my group sent it in and it wasn't recorded, when they went to Guest Services they were told nothing could be done without a printout

I did a 10 day from Vancouver and it was amazing. 5 sea days with a balcony is heaven for me

For Juneau the Mt Roberts Tram sounds like just what you're looking for. Within walking distance, scenic, good for all ages, and inexpensive

no it's not, what are suggesting is "formal" which they have not had in years. I too never bring a jacket or tie and ate at every venue
Sorry, I was imprecise with my language. I meant Cruise Elegant (Carnival's term, not mine). I never suggested nor meant to suggest a jacket or tie was required. I wore a jacket but not a tie but the jacket was my choice.

My recommendation would be a Dream Class: Carnival Dream, Disney Dream, Carnival Magic, Carnival Breeze. They're large enough to have diverse offerings to make everyone happy.
That having been said the cruising experience is pretty consistent from ship to ship within a cruise line.
My personal favorite is the Carnival Breeze. Here's why and why it's not important...

Steakhouse is always formal.
It's also freaking awesome 😉

Carnival is great and fairly consistent from ship to ship. I recommend taking a Dream class (The Dream, The Magic, or The Breeze) as they have a lot of good amenities for that age group.
My favorite ship is the Breeze...here's why and why it doesn't matter:

I stayed in a Family Harbor balcony stateroom. It's just like a regular balcony but you're further from the water and have access to a nearby room with some TVs, PS4s, and some food. Not sure it's worth extra money. Here's a tour of the Family Harbor Balcony room:

I heard something about an altered itinerary...?

What is "the liner"?

Such a fun and unique dessert experience aboard the Carnival Panorama: The Art at Your Table Dessert Experience at Fahrenheit 555° Steakhouse!

How much do you love Guy's Burgers?
-
How often do you go for a run on a cruise?
I average about once...every 10 cruises

It can be a challenge finding quiet spots on that ship. One option is the soft window benches at the top of the Atrium
