You caught both stocks at their bottoms and doubled your money in, what, two months?  Not even the most famous stock pickers can do that consistently.  Got any more hot tips for us?  😁

In order for either of them to hit their pre-COVID prices, they'd have to triple.  Let's just say they have a long way to go before they can get there.

It all about buying the right stock at the right time, I don't think anyone knows that. I would say just watch how the Market responds to the economy but but low and let it ride, yes, you are taking a chance but the younger you are the more chances you can take.I knew CCl stock would bounce back when and how much is anyone's ones guess.

I'm 74 now and I seem to recall that when I went to Europe when I was in college, you needed to have the smallpox vaccination. I think you needed it to re-enter the USA. Once a vaccine baecomes widely available, I would not be surprised to see a bunch of countries having a similar requirement for current Covid 19 vaccinations.

There are probably different  strains of COVID-19 out there just like there are different strains of the flu. If you get the COVID-9 in the U.S you may  have an immunization card . So you are correct , most immunizations are needed to get back in to the U, S if there is a outbreak in a  foreign country, Some diseases once you get it you are immune, like measles.

Yes it is!  All of the travel stock I purchased in March is doing well and even some I purchased a little over a week ago.  I'm so glad I purchased Carnival stock when I did.  It is a good investment and the OBC is a bonus. Go Carnival! I'm sure that once there is a vaccine or the virus has run its course, Carnival will someday be back to pre-covid numbers.

I agree, once there is a reliable vaccine CCL stock and any stock related to travel will go up. I bought CCL stock at 8.01 dollars.

  4. All businesses want to make money. If CCL ships sail with half capacity  is like a restaurant opening with half capacity , how would they make any money to cover costs for the ships just sailing or the restaurant  just operating and make a profit.

  5. I was looking at the deck plans but I didn't any venues or places for dancing, the Havana club there is no space to dance. What the hell, if there is good music on board but you can't dance what's the point having good music.B

esides 6500 guests maybe a little crowded. What do you think?

Can't even begin to say!  It could depend on how the scheduled August cruises go.  However, I recommend if you hear of one case of COVID on any of those cruises, cancel immediately.  I am scheduled our of Galveston on 29 August and am skeptical that it will happen.  There are too many variables to even make a guess.

Correct if just one case is reported probably the whole ship will be held up maybe until everyone is tested. That is the risk you'll be taking by cruising in August.

I hear you, but the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) mandates it be done the way it currently is and video can't, at this time, substitute for it.  But it's extremely difficult to socially distance with the current ways the safety briefings on Carnival are run.  So I think something has to give.  Either we'll ignore distancing, run multiple drills, run it from the individual cabins by video as you suggested, or we'll have a vaccine/cure/treatment and we can get close together again.  It will be interesting to see what happens on the first cruises.

P.S.  I've found more often that the announcements are LOUD enough to overwhelm everything than local conversation not allowing me to hear the announcements.  I'm sure this is a case of YMMV.

That is an understatement how the cruise lines are going to have muster stations drills with social distancing  that should be interesting.

Cruise lines have to take risks to stay in business.  Carnival is ready to sail now.  If as in a past post there would be no cruises thru 2021, then cruising as we know it would cease to exist.

I canceled my October 31,2020 cruise and rebooked it for 5/5/2021 on the Horizon. I did not want to deal with all that  social distancing and other crap.

So true.  And think of the problems when the guy who had just a little too much to drink gets into a fight with the guy who's trying to do the right thing.

If cruising were to continue with social distancing, the capacity would have to be limited and more services/staff provided.  Thus...more expensive.

Imho...people go on a cruise to have fun, to eat, to socialize, to see the shows, go on excursions etc.  Social distancing impedes just about everything.  If I my goal were anything more than sitting by myself and reading a book....I could do that at home.

To answer the question....I can't see cruising before there's a vaccine.  Although something looks promising now, there are so many steps before it can be given to the masses.  My prediction is: no cruising in 2020, possible cruising in 2021.

Hey there are many people on cruise ships that have too much to drink. Hopefully  there will be an effective vaccine before the end of 2020.

Agree, but there is a report of a vaccine of about 400  million doses may be available  as early as October. If that is the case if were the cruise  lines I would not sail before the end of the year because potentially they would be taking a risk.

You earn a hearty "Amen!" for that.

No matter what the CDC says it is still up to the individual to make a  choice whether to go on cruise or not. Do I want to cruise if I have to wear a mask ,because of social distancing can not talk to people go to the casino, to a show  or even dance that would not be a fun cruise for me. People are smart enough to know what is in their best interest and the people around them hopefully they don't the CDC to tell them what to do.

  12. I read that the CEO took a 50% pay reduction other senior management also took pay reductions. I with all this happening it looks like they're getting ready for further sailing delays probably the rest of 2020 because if the ships sail again August 1,  2020 and people get sick or worse it will crush the company. What do you think?

What is the gut feeling from everyone on the probability of this ship sailing?  It's the second cruise out.  If they find people sick on the Aug 1 sailing, will they cancel this one?  We will have driven 8 hours to FL before they will know for us to be denied boarding?

We are from SC and not in a Hot Spot.  What States are you are from?  Concerned that since not many Carnival ships are sailing within driving distance, that many hot spot states will be on board.

    Thoughts?

That is an interesting question. What happens when cruise lines do sail August 1, 2020 is anybody's guess. Personally I think cruising in August is to soon. I'm going on the Horizon 10/31/2020 maybe that is to soon also but it depends what happens when cruise lines start sailing again.
