Interesting.
I can see a lot of legal challanges within these recommendations. But I do understand the intent.
I agree about the legal changlees , how can you stop people from using public transportation to return home?

I like the Vista class ships because they have a Latin club dancing to that music is a lot of fun.

Yes of course I will. Diseases will continue. As will car accidents, and heart attacks and cancer and etc. Once again seasonal flu (despite vaccines, etc) kills up to 80,000 Americans per year. Corona is currently at 10,000. Do you worry about the flu on your cruises?
No!!!!

Sure I will continuing cruising. You can't live in a bubble, are you going to stop driving because more people die on the roads then probably from this pandemic

I wish I understood how to invest in the stock market. I tried googling it but it was so confusing. I wouldn't want to spend so much money and not even know what I was doing
It is all about taking the risk even the brokers probably do not know more then you do. Buying CCL at 8.00 Dollars a share is a good bet if you look at the past earrings. The stock will go up how long it takes that is the question.

I don't think it means anything. My May cruise that was just cancelled did that in March.
My May cruise was also canceled but I rebooked the Horizon 10/31/2020 , not only did I get a better cabin
but it was cheaper.

Yes I have had issues; I've tried on multiple browsers and always get the message that they cannot verify initial booking or words to that affect. It's in red at the bottom. Very annoying....
I get the same message in red at the bottom.

Has anyone had issues filling out the form using option 1 and submitting to CCL.

Very, very interesting, thank you for posting! My only big concern was that they could go bankrupt, this puts that worry at ease. Very good to know they can ride it out a year if need be, this will eventually end.
It has been reported that Carnival has 150 million in cash.

If Carnival cruise line cancels cruises until May 12 or later I think the stock will drop lower. Just watch the market.

I live in Manchester Ct things are not as crazy as last week although everything is closed except grocery stores and pharmacies. I think my dance studio will close this week and my gym is closed, which are the two things I do just about everyday.

I was wondering if a guest tested positive for coronavirus would the ship be allowed to disembark at a US port.
Gary

THE ONLY THING THAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT IF ONE PERSON TESTS POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS ON THE SHIP , IS IT TRUE , THE SHIP MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PORT IN THE U.S UNTIL EVERYBODY IS TESTED

I've been on both but I prefer the Horizon or Vista because they have a latin club on board I like dancing to that type of music.

CCL use to give me a 100.00 gift card but that was a while ago I wish they would start that up again.

We are on the 3/23/19 sailing for the Horizon. I did our check in the day it became available. We also had an earliest check in time of 12:30 pm showing.
This is a premier cruise for us, and my daughter and I are turning platinum this cruise, so we could show up whenever we want. But I hate crowds and lines, so we will be going about 1:30 or so anyway. We get a late check out from our hotel, so we have a lounging morning and a great breakfast (staying at Embassy Suites), then head over. We fly through the lines and walk right on.
My boarding time is between 12:30-1:30pm, However since I am Diamond I can board when I get to the port if the ship is cleared to board.

crzndab, I don't think the food is bad. I do think the quality has declined steadily over the last several years.
Just a couple of examples
*Flat iron steak in the MDR and a charge for better cuts.
*Shrimp salad formerly included on Room Service (when it was all no charge), replaced by several fried items for charge.
*I haven't seem Beef Wellington on the menu for several years.
*Baked potatoes have been served undercooked and at room temperature.
There are obviously things I like, but the quality has, in my opinion, definitely been on a downward slope.
That I do agree with the food has declined over the last several years, why I don't know .The food on CCL use to be getting better and better but I do notice the difference in the quality over the last few years.
What will be different on your next carnival cruise?

Cruise lines can have the best sanitation protocols but the passengers have to do their part, don't come on the ship if you are sick and wash your hands often, ect.
