What time off the Freedom of the Seas? (to plan a flight)

Thanks all. Wound up booking out of Fort Lauderdale the next week with a very similar profile. Chose a mid afternoon flight back to have an extra chill commute home. -

Didn't know about the rule of thumb. Thanks! Sorta confused about the rest. -
Looking at Feb 16 2024, 3 Night Bahamas & Perfect Day Cruise, from Miami, Florida. Says it arrives at 6am. Thinking a 10am flight home would be too ambitious. Just did the Norwegian Joy. They said I could disembark after 8am if I kept my luggage. But that started earlier and I was out of the terminal by 8:10am.

Stepped off The Joy this morning and yes I saw the ship's model for sale at the gift shop.

I'm the opposite. My passport is good for my early August Bermuda cruise. I was recently invited to a trip in October where my passport expires 5 months after trip and I need 6. I was considering sending the passport in now for renewal and cruising to Bermuda with birth certificate and DL. This is my 1st cruise with my kids so I am thinking about not doing that so nothing gets jeopardized.

At no point did I feel unsafe. One turn I remember waiting for no traffic before walking it a little briskly. I would walk it again if I had to.

In my case, not all Taxis were occupied. There were at least 5-7 empty vehicles that passed us. Even empty taxis going the opposite way would not turn around to get us as we hailed them. We had no tokens nor exact change for the bus as we planned on a taxi and we were way to far along before we realized we were walking the entire way It is an enjoyable walk I would have no problem doing again..

Has anyone brought a satellite radio on a cruise?
cram33 replied to cram33's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
The door was open in the video because I was on the balcony. The wire is thin enough to shut and lock the door. The radio was on constantly with the door shut. -
I was there last week. Took a Taxi there from Dockyard. It was about a 5 minute ride and cost about $15 I think. The wait for 1 fish sandwich was 45 minutes. After the shock of that we saddled up to their outside bar and had an awesome time. We were told any empty taxi heading back to Dockyard would pick us up. They all passed us. We walked back. Took about 30 minutes. The walk was amazing because of the views and the option to stop and take it al in. If you have a bus pass there are plenty of bus stops along the way too. There is one at Woody's also.

Where do you receive Crown and Anchor perks during cruise?
cram33 replied to cram33's topic in Royal Caribbean International
LOL! Being that the entire world is digital I was not lost and confused on the ship. The compass is still printed and left in the stateroom btw, as well as other announcements. NBD. Will check the perks online before next cruise. -
Where do you receive Crown and Anchor perks during cruise?

Yeah, was just responding to the comment in post #3 about drinks. I could look up perks somewhere online. Next cruise I will look out for a letter in the stateroom or check with guest services. Was just surprised it wasn't more obvious as in the past. -

I didn't ask because this actually didn't occur to me after the cruise was over. So I'm not upset over it. But I don't recall a letter explaining that. The other issue would be I had the Deluxe Beverage package for the first time this trip. I will be mindful of the letter or heading to guest services next time. -
Just off Adventure of the Seas, first cruise is over 10 years. I'm Emerald. After the cruise I realized I did not receive one trinket, coupon book, or any offer at all from Crown and Anchor. In the past they would leave things in the stateroom. The person I was cruising with received a $50 coupon for the spa, but said that's because she used the spa on a past cruise. What did I miss? Where do you find your C&A perks while cruising?

Mixed results. #1 Boarded ship. Set it up. Worked awesome. Enjoyed radio all the way to Bermuda. #2 50/50 shot at the dock and my balcony was facing north so it was out. #3 Heading north, leaving Bermuda, it worked again for a few hours as I could face the receiver south. Once we turned 315 degrees I could no longer face south. So I am very happy with what did work and enjoyed it. I would do it again. I can post a short vid or pics of the setup if interested. -
If you take the ferry to Hamilton where the ships used to dock, The Pickled Onion was across the street right on Front Street. I don't know if it is still there though.

Nope, it's a thin wire. Windows and doors can usually close around them. I agree, the simplest solution would be streaming. Admittedly I have not cruised in a long time, but back then the wifi was not reliable at all. My radio is so small I will try it out if there is room to pack it. If it doesn't work it's not like I will complain about lugging something for nothing. -

Wifi has never been reliable in my experience. But it’s been a ling time. Maybe I will be surprised. Me receiver is small and portable I figured why not try. Since headphones are only for one person that won’t work for us. People on this thread jump to assumptions about the volume at the mention of music. Maybe they petition for TV headphones too? Sort of into Bach’s cello suites and Dvorak’s cello concerto at the moment. -

Yep, I agree with all of this. Thought someone here would have tried though. If I have the space to pack knowing this may not work I’m gonna try and share results. -

Thanks. Heading to Bermuda from NJ. SO it may work. I have room to pack it and experiment to post results.
