We are sailing to the Baltic this June and i know we need to do a group tour in St Petersburg for visa reasons but how easy is it to do the other ports on our own?We are visiting Zeebruge (would like to visit Bruges),Copenhagen,Stockholm,Tallin,Helsinki andGdansk(fromGydnia):)

Cruise Personalizer seems to be working again now:)

Thanks for that Shogun and Luv2Crooze- I ll keep an eye on the prices- :)

We have previously sailed with P and o Cruises. We are booked on Emerald Princess in June. With P and O if prices drop there is nothing that P and O will do to help (except cancel and re book) This post suggests it may be different with Princess. We booked via a travel agent who gave us a small discount. If say Princess start offering obc before we pay the balance is it worth phoning our TA to try and get us the obc or does that just happen in the U S?

Last time i wanted to email P and O I went to the Questions page and where it says "Question not answered" email with your query, i just used the box to send an email(It wasn t a question!) and received a reply the following day.

Thanks Nauta14
Hopefully with Zumba I can keep some of the extra calories off!! Mind you I need to lose the Christmas calories first!:)

Are there any Zumba classes or craft classes on board Emerald Princess?:)

Thats useful to know P and o Sue. Any excuse to shop!!:)

Thanks for all the useful info. We will be at Platinum tier when we travel. Our very first cruise was with Princess but that was quite a few years ago and I m sure things will have changed since then. It is definately a bonus that P and O cruises count towards loyalty with Princess!:)

Thank you for all the useful:) information etc. Glad you enjoyed your day there. Roll on February!!

Thank you London towner for the info. If the weather is good we may walk to the beach otherwise take in some of the sights you suggest:)
-
We are visiting La Palma at the end of February. When we visited previously we only had a few hours and just strolled round the town. Any suggestions as what to do on our next visit (preferably D I Y):)

We are on a Canaries cruise end of February 2016. has anyone got any recommendations of must see/does?(Bearing in mind we are visiting on a Sunday) There is a ships tour that we are considering but we would prefer to D I Y if possible.:)

I do hope that you have managed to sell your cruise Keelann and that is why this thread has been quiet recently. Also i hope it won t be too long before you can book yourself another holiday

You could try sending a message via Facebook. Usually someone responds quite quickly (though i don t think the site is manned evenings or weekends)

We love Ventura and are sailing to The Canaries on her next February.
There probably will be more children onboard because it is school holidays but we have never found it a problem as they are usually happy to be at childrens' clubs.
There is a small adult only pool at the front of the ship which is free to use and we tend to use it most days as it tends to be quieter. It is usually easier to find a free lounger at that end of the ship.
There is no dedicated cinema. All films are shown in the theatre but we have found that to be fine.
Enjoy!!

I do hope that you are able to claim on the insurance or sell he holiday.
-
Have you tried asking P and o directly if they can sell the holiday on your behalf/? They only have to advertise that suites are for sale and match the flight details.
-
Thank you for the tips. Its encouraging P and O were helpful:)

The washing machines and tumble dryers on board are free to use. Either bring your own powder or purchase it for 60p from reception. On our recent cruise (17 nights) quite a lot of people were using the launderette.I now wish i had been one of them as our washing machine broke down as soon as we got home!!:)

My husband and i are not great drinkers and i really enjoyed trying the different Mocktail of the day (a bit cheaper for that particular day). After the late night quiz we went to the Belvedere where they have sachets of hot chocolate and ovaltine. I also took a few bottles of diet coke onboard which i kept in the fridge. We did have the occasional alcoholic drink if we felt like one but didn t feel under any pressure to do so. Enjoy your cruise!:)

Its nice to hear P and O supporting cruise critic roll call meet ups. How did you manage to organise it? Did you contact head office before you cruised or go to reception once on board? Any tips would be helpful!!:)
