  1. We have previously sailed with P and o Cruises. We are booked on Emerald Princess in June. With P and O if prices drop there is nothing that P and O will do to help (except cancel and re book) This post suggests it may be different with Princess. We booked via a travel agent who gave us a small discount. If say Princess start offering obc before we pay the balance is it worth phoning our TA to try and get us the obc or does that just happen in the U S?

  2. Last time i wanted to email P and O I went to the Questions page and where it says "Question not answered" email with your query, i just used the box to send an email(It wasn t a question!) and received a reply the following day.

  3. Thanks for all the useful info. We will be at Platinum tier when we travel. Our very first cruise was with Princess but that was quite a few years ago and I m sure things will have changed since then. It is definately a bonus that P and O cruises count towards loyalty with Princess!:)

  4. We love Ventura and are sailing to The Canaries on her next February.

There probably will be more children onboard because it is school holidays but we have never found it a problem as they are usually happy to be at childrens' clubs.

There is a small adult only pool at the front of the ship which is free to use and we tend to use it most days as it tends to be quieter. It is usually easier to find a free lounger at that end of the ship.

There is no dedicated cinema. All films are shown in the theatre but we have found that to be fine.

    Enjoy!!

  5. The washing machines and tumble dryers on board are free to use. Either bring your own powder or purchase it for 60p from reception. On our recent cruise (17 nights) quite a lot of people were using the launderette.I now wish i had been one of them as our washing machine broke down as soon as we got home!!:)

  6. My husband and i are not great drinkers and i really enjoyed trying the different Mocktail of the day (a bit cheaper for that particular day). After the late night quiz we went to the Belvedere where they have sachets of hot chocolate and ovaltine. I also took a few bottles of diet coke onboard which i kept in the fridge. We did have the occasional alcoholic drink if we felt like one but didn t feel under any pressure to do so. Enjoy your cruise!:)
