  1. hahaha not likely. Every single time I go onto the site and am logged in they call the next day. They know we won't answer the phone and they never leave a message.

I think someone, maybe Tapi said that they are required by Carnival to call you if you log into the site.

I don't even have the correct phone number in my profile but somehow they always call the correct number.

I must be the only one that this does not happen to?? I am always logged in when I go on the carnival site and I go lot (I might have a problem ) But I have never received a call:confused: Not complaining just making a statement

  2. A night or so before the dinner the chief came to our table in the dinning room and asked us if we had anything we didn't like or allergies! My mom said she does not do raw anything and the chef made her a different appetizer for that item!

  3. We are due to stop at HMC on our cruise starting April 30Th! I really hope we get to stop!! Have not been to any of the ports on this cruise! But with only 3 port days on a 7 days cruise, would make for a lot of sea days without the stop!! However I'm sure I could find something to do if I had to! :D

Id also be interested in knowing if certain months are more typically for a miss?

  4. I booked the CT for an upcoming cruise and am confused, someone posted a photo of the email they received that stated there would be tip added, my confusion is mine does not say this?? I will pay whatever they say.. This will be my second time doing CT but my hubby's first and I think he will enjoy this!

This is all mine letter said...

  5. My mother, bf and myself did this on our 5 day cruise last April! Enjoyed it so much we are going to do it again. This time my hubby, bf, her hubby and myself! We had the same menu someone shared above, happy to have that again! This time we are doing a 7 day and I'm wondering if someone knows what night this might be done on?

  6. I'm very curious about this point. We have heard multiple reports of stewards saying they have more cabins to service. Yet, I have a hard time believing that stewards are making more money than ever before. I have to wonder whether an increasing number of guests are removing or cutting their tips. On our last cruise, DH insists that our head steward had a list of guest names showing who prepaid tips and ours was one of the only cabins that had. I overheard a surprising number of people talking about removing their tips and others asking what the charge was on their bill. I would not be surprised if, as Carnival continues to attract newbie cruisers, they're running into a tip problem. I would much rather Carnival make it harder to remove tips than reduce services.

I know this was not your total point, but we never prepay tips. They come out of our sign n sail card on the second or third day. IDK why we never prepay just never think about it! But we do always have money on our ship card that is for that purpose only!:)

  7. We do have a roll call for this cruise. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing it. Anyway, my name is Linda and my hubby is Russ. there is a roll call with about 32 pages. My screen name is Beachbumsx3. We are having an informal Meet N Greet @ 2pm on the first sea day. It will be on the Lido deck, aft. by the bar area. Everyone is wearing beads. Mine are huge and I will be wearing them from embarkation on. Say Hi if ya see me. Those of us who are interested are doing a gift exchange. We sat a price of $5-$10 pp with a gift from your hometown or related to cruising. That part is totally optional. It's all about meeting new friends and getting the party started! I have a few small door prizes for fun. So far there are about 36 people who have said they are coming. I didn't publish a list since we decided to be informal about this. I'm so excited and can't wait to meet everyone!

Oh, that's sounds like a lot of fun!! There is a roll call for the Cruise I'm on but nothing like this is going on!! You guys have a great time! :D

  8. I had not heard the Fantasy class were getting Guys?? That does not mean much however, lol. When is this supposed to happen? I'm guessing not before my trip in April :(

Thanks for the info!! So excited to set sail on this ship! All of my cruise to date except the first one (Valor 08) have been on the Fantasy class and I really do like them!

  9. Sorry but with the Fantasy leaving Charleston after the next cruise AND then not being into Miami til Feb. 8 or 9th (I think?) there is not much going on.

Hopefully the thread will pick up again once that happens, the only help I have would be over 1 1/2 years ago and the menu has changed.

Have a wonderful cruise all, I am on the first cruise that the Ecstasy makes out of Charleston Feb. 6th!

Please come back and let us know about your cruise on the Ecstasy. :D We have her booked for April 30, for a 7 day cruise! Very excited

  10. We just booked the April 30th 2016, 7 day sailling on ecstasy, this used to be the fantasy itinerary. we get to go to Grand Turk, amber Cove, and Half Moon Cay pretty excited about the itinerary. we went on fantasy last October and loved her. we had hoped to sail fantasy again but now it is the ecstasy we hope that she is as great as fantasy is.

  11. I have no problem trying something new, to be honest just didnt think about it. Well that and I assumed Carnival would have the cheaper prices!! I know next to nothing about other cruise lines, not that I know a whole lot about Carnival either. I guess I could find out on their site where their ports are located? What ships would you or anyone suggested? Thank you all for your helpful suggestions

  12. Thankyou all for answering so quickly . I probably won't book until they do another $50 deposit unless there's some other great sale that comes up!! I'll have to look at Port Canaveral, I have not looked at their selections. we live about an hour and a half from Louisville when my husband got out of the military we settled here in Kentucky. I'm sure whatever I decide we will have a great time! :D

  13. Talked the hubby into another cruise :D This will not be till next april, and will just be the husband and I. We have been on the Valor in 08 and the Fantasy 2014.

The ships I'm looking at are 7 day Dream out of New Orleans, ports Roaton (our favorite port so far) Belize and Cozumel, plus 3 sea days. This is basicly the same intinary we did on the Valor in 08. Its about a 10 hour drive to this port. The cost for 2 is $1244 this includes everything, with our stateroom being interior on verandah deck (another favorite, at least on the fanstasy class)

The second is 7 day Fantasy out of Charleston South Carolina. This port is only about an 8 hour drive for us. The ports are Amber Cove, Grand Turk and Halfmoon Cay with 3 sea days. We have not been to any of these ports!! The price is $1248 this includes everything with the verhanda stateroom.

So basicaly the Fantasy is $4 more. Both have 3 ports and 3 sea days, price is similar, driving distance is a couple hours longer to New Orleans but not a big deal. I like the idea of new ports but I also like the idea of trying the Dream for all of the upgrades.

We like the Fantasy, hubby likes the fact its doesnt feel crowded. I do not know anything about the Dream. I would love to hear what others thoughts are. The final decision is mine to make I just want to make the right one;) any help making this decision would be appreciated

  14. I booked a room for 4 in April 2015, all of us are adult. I thought we would have 4 beds, two bunks, as that is what I requested with my pvp. Upon looking closer I do not. Its only 3 beds with the ability to bring in a trundle bed. I called to change, pvp said she would have to ask, called me back and the answer was no!! :(

This wont make or break the cruise just wish could have worked out

  15. Kudos to the OP for accepting the downgrade and willingly giving up a handicap cabin when they realized they had been put in one they didn't need :). Too often people book them when they don't need them just for the extra space while someone who may need one loses the opportunity to sail. Sorry about the misunderstand with price drops OP.
