  1. I tried searching the forum, but all I got was discussion about the Royal.

     

    The Grand blocked passengers from the upper half of the central stairway. Does the Crown do the same?

     

    I thought Princess was only allowing passengers to use the central staircase if you had the stairway card, $30 plus gartuity, it allowed you to use the stairs upto 30 times during the cruise. Maybe they pulled it because of abuse, I heard some passengers where sharing the use of it.

  2. Argh...just another reason I wish we got ALL of the original BBC programming here in the US. :mad: I hate having to wait months or years for all this good stuff! They actually have TV worth watching over there! My son watches QI online and has got me hooked. Now there's this show!

  3. I was also on the Emerald TA and I did not get the elite bathroom amenities but quite honestly there isn't anything in those that I really use or miss so I didn't bother asking for them. I'm sure if I had asked my cabin steward would have supplied them. As far as the soap goes, I asked for an extra bar and stuck two bars together for the shower. They stayed stuck together and that worked well for me. I can see the practicality of the smaller bars since it generates much less waste from used bars being discarded at the end of the cruise.

     

    Oh I know the elite amenities is a waste, I do like the lip balm though, why we got one on leg to was my thoughts.

  4. I have seen very slow response time myself in the past when an elderly person fell on the open deck, not 18 mins and not life threatening but still at least 10 mins. Another time a fight broke out on the lido deck over chair hogging of all things, someone rang security 911 and they took so long to get there the2 involved where long gone.

  5. We just returned from a 15 day TA on the Emerald Princess. It was a great cruise --- But we had to bring real soap and shampoo from home since Princess stopped providing real bars of soap and shampoo without conditioner.

     

    We are sending an email to Princess Customer relations requesting Princess return to providing real bars of soap and plain shampoo.

     

    I wonder how many would join us in sending an email to Princess requesting it revert to its earlier policy .

    We where on the emerald across the Atlantic too, did miss the shampoo bottles, the in shower dispensers felt a bit cheap to me. We did a b2b so where on the 10 day Caribbean before hand, strange thing was on the transatlantic we received an elite bathroom amenities but not on the 1st leg, we did switch cabins but why that happened I don't know.

  6. On Tuesday morning we left the Emerald Princess after a very enjoyable 21 days onboard. We left the ship early due to woork commitments as the cruise does not finish until Saturday. As we loaded our luggage into the elevator to go down to deck 4 I made a little joke to a lady that we where getting off as we could stand it no more. As soon as I made this comment the lady went of on one saying how bad the cruise had been, its not like it used to be and that she couldn't wait to get off in Southampton. Thinking back I always seem to meet someone like this on every cruise, am I unlucky or do you all bump into a moaner too. In 3 weeks the only problems on the ship was slow service in the anytime dining rooms. In other words, another great Princess Cruise.
