We're booked on the July 11th sailing on the Insignia along with my SiL and another couple - first O cruise for all six of us. However, they booked their restaurant allocation last week and, when they tried to add us, the system said it wasn't possible. So, I tried to book them today and, of course, the times are not available! I made two bookings as allowed to make sure we at least had something.
My question is, how accommodating are they on board? Is there any chance that if we speak to someone as soon as we embark, we could get to eat together?
It's possible but it can be difficult as there is limited seating at the specialty resturants....You will always be ableb to eat together in the Grand Dining room or the terrace cafe

I'm always puzzled by those that prefer reverse order. I find it very confusing reading in reverse order. But if you really want to do so one can get to the last post as described by @Turtles06 and scroll up.
I'm always puzzled by those that have a lot to say about how other people prefer things......you see the question wasnt how you prefer to read something......nor was the question how hard it is to go to the last page. It bothers me when someone that I guess has nothing to do wants to get involved. But thanks for your input.

It's really not hard at all to get to the first unread post as described above -- one click. And with the new feature of the grayed out circle (or star if you've posted on the thread), you know beforehand whether there's even a new post to read.
You can also get to the most recent post in a thread (previously read by you or not) by clicking on the time (or date) under the poster's name shown in the right side of the thread row. Also one click.
right but thats not what i asked......when it's an active thread with many pages i would just like to have it in reverse order!!

Does the Insignia have a self service laundry or ironing boards for the passengers to use?
yes

That's been asked before, and apparently it's not a possibility at this time. EM
would be so much easier! thanks!

is there a way to change the order of the tread so that the newest post is always on top....example 22 pages of post page 22 would be first working in reverse??

Even if Oceania doesn't host the meet and greet would be nice to be able to set up the time and place before sailing.
How do others handle that?
yes its normally done....either at Martinis or Horizons....at a specific time before or right after the drill

Oceania does not host the meet & greets as other lines sometimes do, but all food and soft drinks are complimentary on Oceania in the first place, so there is less need for a host.
yes but for a meet and greet there is nothing provided so what is the point.
