  1. There isn't much for kids to do at Nachi. It's very quiet. There is a pool, and they have banana boats for rent, and they put the water trampoline out when we were there, but it's very adult-oriented in my opinion. But the food is fantastic! I have pictures in my review, link in my signature. :) Mr. Sanchos is just down the beach, and we could see lots of water toys. It was also very crowded looking. But I suspect it's much more kid friendly.

  2. This may be irrelevant info since it's a different port, but I had a 2:25 flight booked out of Houston on Sunday, and I was worried even that was too early after some of the stuff I had read. We had FTTF, plus we did self-assist, and even with the nearly hour drive to the port, we were at Houston Hobby airport at 9 AM! We spend 5.5 hours in the airport. We're sailing on the Dream next April, and I'm booking a much earlier flight home!

  3. We went to brunch twice on the Magic last week. The first time we went, we both had pancakes with a side of hashbrowns. They were ok. Very similar in taste to those frozen pancakes you can get in a box in the freezer section of the grocery store, the ones you pop in the microwave. The hashbrowns, on the other hand, were awful. You get two small, disc-shaped potato patties that have the strangest taste...like a vague fishy taste. The second time we went to brunch, my husband had the huevos rancheros, and he said it ok. I had the mac and cheese with bacon and fried chicken strips, and it ended up being one of the best things I had during the entire cruise! I felt guilty for having mac and cheese for breakfast (we went at 8:30), but hey, it's vacation, right. :D

  4. Just off the Magic on Sunday. At Ocean Plaza, there was a girl (Erin Michelle Band or something similar) that sang country music in the evenings. Also, I recall there being "country hour" at the night club. Also there was a country line dance class. Enjoy your time on the Magic, she's a beautiful ship!

  5. We just got off the Magic this morning, and we had a cove balcony and it was AMAZING!!!! Yes the floor was a little wet and we did have to dry off the railing a few times, but the privacy, the shade from the lifeboats, the view, and the close proximity to the water far outweigh the minor inconvenience of wiping down the rail! Book the cove! :)

We were originally set to fly in the morning of, nonstop from Tulsa to Houston, arriving at 10:00 AM, then of course we have to shuttle to Galveston. As our cruise got closer and closer, I started to get really nervous and decided it wasn't worth the stress. I've read on here so many times how it's not a good idea to fly in the day of. Now we're flying in the day before. :)
