  1. just went to coco cay and had a bungalow. i thought they were great. favorite part was that you order your lunch in advance and they bring it to you. nice loungers in the sun and a place to relax and eat in the shade. my kids loved it. for a nice relaxing beach day i thought it was well worth the $

Hi jp, we are going in Jan 2018 I have a bungalow booked for Coco Cay, where did you go to pre order your lunch and did you just let them know you had a bungalow?

    Thanks

  2. We have done self assist debarkation each time, and the latest we were off and made it through customs was 730am. Considering at that time of morning you are looking at an hour to the Airport, you should be fine.

The cruise itinerary for Majesty is saying it gets back into port at 7.00am this is why I am thinking it's cutting it close. If the ship does not dock until 7.00am then how long does it take before you can start getting off?

  3. You should be ok with this timing.

To be sure, do self-disembark, carrying off your own luggage, which should be easy on a short cruise.

I love TSA pre-check, which I get with my Global Entry. Do you have TSA pre-check? It really helps at MCO.

Thank you Merion, I am not sure about the TSA Pre Check, we do have Nexus Cards, we are from Canada but my Australian family will also be travelling with us. Can they do this TSA Pre Check?

  4. Majesty 3 day - Nassau and Coco Cay

Embarkation was a breeze.Lunch buffet small however well laid out and plentiful

    Dinner menu tonight - Mojo

    Ocean view stateroom deck 3

    Two big surprises

Go-go scooter fit through the door of non accessible cabin

Unsure why a bottle of Moët was delivered. The note says from Guest Services

Good to know as I have a scooter ordered for sailing on Majesty 19th Jan. Her last one before refit. How much room was left with the scooter in the room?

  5. I guess we are booked on the last cruise with Majesty we sail out on the 19th Jan 5 night cruise. I hope there are no changes my family are coming to Canada for a visit and then we are going on this cruise. It will be the 1st time hubby and I have been on a smaller ship. We have been on the Oasis 2 times The Allure once and our next cruise after this one is on the Harmony. I imagine we are going to feel the rock of the ship a lot more than on the bigger ships.

  6. I love the pink flamingo float, do you remember where you purchased it from? Loving your review so far too!

    Day 2: Coco Cay

Rise and shine! The girls are early risers (and I am not) and we did sit down breakfast around 8am. Good thing we had an early bed time the night before. I ordered the salmon benedict as well as kids banana pancakes. Both were decent, sorry no pictures! After breakfast we headed down to hop on the tender to Coco! This was my favorite day of the cruise by far!

I was shopping prior to the cruise and found a $3 pink flamingo float. Well I thought it would be sized for a 5 year old and was going to use it for a silly photo. Low and behold the float fits adults! I used that bad boy (we called him Carlos) alll day long. I floated in paradise!

The floating bar is a must do!!!! Its towards the end of the island, but there are shuttles (walk wasn't too awful either) The ocean down there is much larger and open and BEAUTIFUL. The floating bar is a great secret and luckily was never too busy.

Lunch this day was pretty delicious. I always thought private island day was burgers and hot dogs, but they have stepped up their game. We had mac and cheese, chicken curry, bbq chicken, etc. I think we floated away from 10am till 4pm or so. Don't forget to re apply sunscreen! I kept putting mine on every 45 minutes and I was the only one who left un-burnt.

With tonight being formal night we allowed almost 2 hours to get ready for dinner.

The beef at dinner was my favorite meal of the cruise!

OMG this stuff was to die for! Thank God we had an AMAZING assistant server who acted as our bartender. We never saw the dinner bartender once. Frustrating when you pay so much for a drinking package.

We finally had a towel animal in the room this night. Night 1 we didn't receive a critter or a cruise compass. We never met our attendant until we searched him down on day 2 because our air wasn't working properly.

After dinner and changing into more comfortable clothing we headed to karaoke. Some of the performances required quite a few drinks to tolerate, but all in all it was fun and entertaining. I will note- Formal night was very formal! Usually I feel my family is the more overdressed at formal night, but this cruise felt different. Lots of girls in long dresses and men in full suits. Our nice sun dresses surely made the cut, but we could have been way more glitzy for sure!

Tonight we stayed out till 3am. Hooray! We made up for the party pooping on night 1. We met lots of new friends and had a blast in the dance club. However, the DJ refused to take any requests until one of our friends gave him a $5. Ironically the song we requested made everyone get out of their seats, ha! The girls all got 3am pizza, but I passed. They all gave a thumbs up on it though (who knows what it tastes like sober?!)

Stay tuned for Day 3: Nassau!

  7. I am very sorry this happened to you.

If you had paid by credit card, would the credit people have helped you out? I have never had to make any claim so I don't know if people are protected when out of the country.

    Thank you for sharing.

I tried with American Express, they said I would be insured if the item was damaged but not for fraud. I don't get that one. You would think fraud would be at the top of the list. So I just have to live with a mistake that will never be repeated. BUT if I can get the word out to as many people as I can about Silver Traditions I might save someone else some heart ache.

  8. Unfortunately I think I was caught up in the Birthday moment. Definitely learnt my lesson. I or we will NEVER purchase jewelry overseas again. As far as doing research first it's a bit hard if you have no idea of the Store name before you go :)

  9. :mad:A word of warning, if you are shopping in the port shops of Cozumel DO NOT purchase anything of value from a Store called Silver Traditions. My Husband and I just came home from a cruise with the Allure and the supposedly 14KT gold, diamond and sapphire earrings that they wanted $1200 USD for (we paid $700) are worthless, I took them to our jeweler at home this morning and the stones are glass, not even a good quality cubic zirconia and the gold is not gold. They are now in the garbage and we are left paying off nearly $900 CAD because of the exchange rate. Please don't get caught like I was.

  10. Because Hubby is not the most observant of people I made a sign so he wouldn't get lost. I had a picture of a Koala Bear with Wally's room typed on it. I intend using it again on our Allure cruise in Feb, it actually made it really easy for me to spot our door too. No one ever tried to move it. Who cares how old we are or how silly it might look to others, I did it for our convenience no one else's. Although I bumped into our neighbor one night in the hallway and he said he was glad we had a sign on our door it made it easy to find his room.
