One issue you should be aware of, if a Hurricane is projected to hit Florida, there could be a mandatory evacuation in place and you might not be able to drive down here.  Last year this happened with bad storms that were sitting off our coast, but thankfully didn't hit us.  All south bound roads on the Fl.  Turnpike and I 95 were open and only going north bound. South bound lane were used for north bound as well.  This is why cruises during the peak hurricane months, August thru October, can be at a great price.  If your flexible, it should work out for you.

They are not driving to Florida.

That probably does not suit RCI well. If someone cruises once every 3-4 years RCI wants them to have an incentive to book with them and not look elsewhere. There is no loyalty incentive if you keep losing your points. Not everyone cruises to the extent of many who regularly post to these boards.

Or due to health or other reasons you might have to stop cruising for awhile.

I notice there is no longer any mention of Internet access in descriptions of "Diamond" perks or is that something you find out upon boarding ?

In the most basic paid package (no Stream), can one use ordinary texting (SMS) or is some sort of third party app needed ?

     - - - ditto - - -  can you use attachments with emails ?

    Thanks

Never was listed as a perk. It is one of the coupons loaded an your Sea Pass.

If you get expedited check in for your Anthem sailing you won't need either the app nor a paper SetSail pass - the facial recognition in the expedited lane will take care of it.

Yes, However the facial recognition is not always working.

Out of the bathroom sinks, yes.  But Lido and public areas-ex bathrooms-generally not.  What is different is that the water is NOT the same as the tap water you may be used to at home.

How do you explain water tasting fine for 3 or 4 days and then having a strong metallic taste in the same venue? I think it's because they changed tanks but I could be wrong.

30 - 35 years ago, our Navy ships got under way & returned to port hundreds of times regardless of weather conditions.  Of course, harbor pilots knows their home ports extremely well.

Can't understand why with today's much improved technologies in radar, sonar, GPS, or whatever high-tech navigation systems they use now days, cruise ships can't dock in foggy weather.

Surprise cruise ships don't have self docking nav systems by now, lol...

I think it was more about the SAR then the fog.
