  1. We get them from being a Total Rewards member at Caesar's owned properties (Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's, Rio, etc.). They are usually offered to members who are Seven Star or Diamond. While on the cruise, you do not use your "Total Rewards" card, you are given a players card by Casino At Sea to use, which is in your room when you check in, which also gives you the free drink card for the adults in the room.

Do they come via snail mail, or via e-mail? I know I get a discount for being diamond , but would be happy with a freebee too. :D

  2. I am laughing hysterically at the naked lady! And i can actually hear Elvis saying Thank you, thank you very much!

    He was lucky. :D

My wife wanted to rest, so I went exploring with my 16 yr old daughter. As I walked up that last flight of stairs, there was a naked man laying there.. so I told my daughter to head back down. She would have been embarrased as hell.

As we were going back down, another guy was about to walk up, and he asked if the naked guy was still up there.. and we said yes. He said the guy's been up there all week.. and so he went back down the stairs too.

It's definately a tough place to find, so I can see why the naked people hang out up there. :D

  3. so the haven penthouse wouldnt have access???? ... oh no now i think i want the spa room ugh decisions

Not unless you spring for the extra spa passes.

Last year we had a Haven 2 Bedroom on the Getaway and we bought spa passes. (Our first time in the Haven.) After the cruise, my wife and I discussed that we really didn't need the spa passes since the Haven courtyard was quiet, had plenty of chairs, and had a nice pool and hot tubs.

This year we had a Haven 2 Bedroom on the Epic, and we didn't bother with the spa passes. We enjoyed the quiet haven courtyard along with the pool and hot tubs, sauna and steam room, as well as posh. :D

  4. I just got off the Epic 12/10 cruise. We had premium seats and were Haven guests. We were right up front.

I got pulled into the show , as did at least (3) other Haven folks.. so keep that in mind - if you're up close, you may be an unpaid performer. :D

  5. We were in the Haven last xmas on the Getaway. The matre'd, Kalai, made sure that if you wanted anything special, you got it. We loved the Haven restaraunt!

My daughter got strep throat on the cruise, and he made her milkshakes, soup, etc - without us asking.

We sail on the Epic in the Haven in a little over a week, and we plan to eat dinners mostly in the Haven restaraunt.

  6. DH has a new CPAP. I know we can carry on board and guessing we will need an extension cord. However, what do we do about water since as a rule water is not allowed to be carried on board? Typically we buy distilled by the gallon but I've seen smaller bottles in our local store. Can we bring? Thanks!

I contacted the access desk accessdesk@ncl.com and I was told that they'd provide me with distilled water free of charge. I was told there would be some in my room when I arrive, and that if I needed more to let them know.

  7. Don't bring nail clippers with you. TSA will take them. After a cruise line lost our daughter's suitcase, we split our clothes between our suitcases so we each have something to wear incase one goes astray.:)

I fly over 100k miles a year. You can definately bring nail clippers through TSA security checkpoints now.

  8. I rented a car from MIA last year after our getaway cruise. We just grabbed an UBER once we got off the ship and took it to the airport. At that time, I got a better rate from the airport location and they had more availability. Even after the UBER, it still netted out to be less expensive.

  9. We are doing the same - flying in the night before, and staying at the Residence Inn near the port.

What rental company are you using? And what do you do with the rental car when you get to the hotel?

I'm using National. I've got National Exec status, and you can pay for a midsize and get a full or bigger in the Exec Aisle. I normally use Hertz, but they were much more expensive.

I'm parking the car at the hotel overnight, and dropping it back off in the morning at the port lot before 11am. They've got a free shuttle to the port. I may drop my wife & kids off first if it looks like a madhouse. :D

  10. They asked people before the show if they'd like to participate. They won't just single you out.

They made sure to say that "you will not be ridiculed". One of the ladies at my table agreed, and they brought her up on stage for the mentalist portion.

  11. Our family loved it last year, and that included a 15 and 16 year old, both of whom weren't initially thrilled about going since they wanted to hang with new friends. Once it started, though, they were all smiles. :)

We had floor seating and were at the closest table, right in front of the stage. (yay Haven!)

The regular meal was steak and shrimp. My daughter is a vegetarian, and the veggie dish was eggplant parmigiana. You can order any drink you want, but if you don't have UBP, you pay extra for it.

  12. The people in the Haven DEFINATELY make a difference.

I was on the Getaway Xmas cruise in 2015 in the Haven, and my teenage daughter wound up getting strep throat while on the boat. The Haven Matre'd, Kalai, kept checking on her, made her milkshakes, and said they'd make whatever she wanted so she'd feel better. Kalai definately went above and beyond. My wife and I were super impressed, and we made sure to give him a nice tip and thank you note at the end of the cruise.

  13. That's a great deal! One of the parts that being under 25 isn't so fun is restrictions on renting cars

If you become a member of the frequent renter programs (Avis, National , Hertz ,etc) , many of them will allow you to rent under 25 without dinging you. It's been a long time since I was 25, but I see that benefit listed quite often combined with special rate codes.

  14. We're flying in the day before our cruise, and I'm renting a car from MCO and driving it to Port Canaveral. We're staying the night in Port Canaveral.

The car was $32 all inclusive. There are 4 of us, and I couldn't find a shuttle cheaper than $20/person.

Even with gas and tolls, I'm still coming out ahead, and I've got the car for any last mintue stuff. :D
