  1. We sailed the Jupiter Oct 20 from Chioggia Oct. 20, 2022. The trip from the Venice airport via Viking bus was over an hour. Checkin was easy and quick. In order to take the included excursion in Venice an 1 and a half hour boat ride was required. We had about 4hrs in Venice before the long return boat ride. There was a walking tour of Chioggia available however, we didn't take it.
  2. Viking Jupiter Iconic Adriatic Antiquities-October 20, 2022 This is the cruise we're hoping to take. I have purchased a cane with a seat attached which will give me a quick sit when touring. Getting on and off busses are okay for me. My doctor has also said it would be fine for me to use my "boot" again which will give me more support.
  3. Hello Viking Friends. We have long planned this 21 day cruise beginning Oct 20, 2022 from Venice to Greece, Turkey, Italy, France and disembarking in Barcelona. I had an ankle surgery in June with a projected recovery time of 8 weeks. It has been slow going and has left me walking with a cane and not for real long distances. My question is for those of you who may recently traveled to these places is doing the included Viking excursions a doable thing for me? Is the terrain too rough? Walking 30 min without stopping? We do have a 24 hour cancel window, but it's closing fast. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  4. An other consideration for keeping your own luggage. On our March Silhouette cruise we put a NEW 25" piece of luggage out for pick-up upon disembarkation with 4 wheels and picked it up with only 3 wheels!!!! So the care for your luggage is not always the best. We had a plane to catch and no one available to file paperwork with. The porters, I believe, are not Celebrity employees but employees of the terminal. Thus Celebrity didn't want to take responsibility but did eventually give us a token $50 of OBC on our May cruise.
  5. I agree with the above poster. No problem to see outward. and pretty well downward too. Also some positives; you are only a deck or 2 away by stairs from casino, dining, bars, theatre. We have stayed in 6240 and will be doing a B2B in that cabin in February. It has a larger balcony as well.
  6. Any chatter as to where the "covid cabins" are located? Also we sail Aug, 28. Have you heard about how many passengers wil be aboard?
  7. We have sailed 15 times, most recently in June, and my husband has never had a problem getting a drink for me as well as himself. Since covid all that was asked for was your cabin number. Prior to covid 2 cards, 2 drinks, 1 person. I do remember back in the early days there were some limits but not is the last 7 or 8 years.
  8. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait for your report as we will board her on Aug. 28, 2022. We are also from WI and live about 1:45 from Ohara and choose it over Milwukee as you do. However, we take the bus!
  9. An add on to this question: Can water/soda be brought on board from various ports? or is it only embarkation day?
  10. I believe it was 2017 Cwlwbrity srood by their promise for us.
  11. I do not know about where you read th above statement. I have read somewhere in the past that Celebrity will get you to the ship if air is booked with them. If I'm not using air miles I always try to book with CelebAir. I can also attest that they took great care of us when a delay caused us to miss a connecting flight. We missed the ship by an hour. By the time we hit the ground in Fort Lauderdale CelebAir had emailed directions to take a taxi, put us up at the Sherdain, plane tickets to Grand Cayman, reservations at a resort in Grand Cayman for 2 days. and escorted us through customs to meet the ship. Cost to us NOTHING!
  12. Yes, the $55 will be able to be accessed through logging into your casino account. I do believe that you only accrue points on the $50 not the promo $5. We have done this before when we had exrtra OBC to use up.
  13. I put out a NEW 4 wheeled suitcase on the last night of or Silhouette (June10). Picked up a 3 wheeled suitcase in the terminal in the morning. I told the ground person shuffling us on a bus to Heathrow. She didn't seem interested as I dragged my suitcase with a cast on my foot and a cane! Does anyone know how to report this to Celebrity? I have been on the phone for over an hour to the customer service which has me in the general Q.
