There was a few large palapa umbrellas on the beach that creates shade. you could move the lounge chairs if needed. A couple of the Palapas were damaged from the storm, but when I talked with the bar staff they said the property managers ordered replacements but they hadn't came in yet. I was there just a couple days after the storm passed through in November 2022. The Bar area was covered/shaded.

Our ship didn't dock until 10A.M so we checked in at 11:00A.M. Our printed passes said that the pass was valid from 8A-6P so you could check in as early as 8A.

No, when wading out from the beach into the water the sand was not a wet sinking sand it was a good soft shell/sand mix that I didn't feel like I was sinking or unsteady. The water is not overly deep, it honestly would be a little higher than waist deep.

Hi Carol, I used resort for a day to purchase the Serenity Beach pass. No seaweed on the day I visited, clear water with very calm waves. Junkanoo beach was about 1/2 mile down the beach past the Margaritaville beach so Serenity Beach was very quiet and no crowds.

The RIU Buffet was like 12n to 3P last time I visited, they also had a poolside BBQ chicken place near the pool that served a late lunch from 3p to 5:30p. There was an inside coffee/cafe type restaurant that was open until I think 2p that had cold sandwiches, milkshakes, and other cafe style food. Beautiful property, very friendly welcoming staff, great pools, and beautiful overlook of the beach area. I love the views, but not one to go into the ocean. Staff advised that if you go into the ocean, as you wade out into the water it does drop off a few feet away from the shore. RIU Did have lifeguards on the beach which was nice.

I recently visited the private beach at the Closed British Colonial. Just wanted to share my experience and some photos. Property managers are offering Day Passes to just the private beach not the resort like previous years.. Purchase online in advance as there are some blackout dates throughout the year that passes are not offered. Bring printed pass with you. Printed pass does tell you to check in at the Margaritaville Fins Up waterpark desk, it's about a 15 minute walk from the cruise pier area. When you come out of the cruise port area which is currently under construction, you should walk right towards the Straw Market, walk towards Senor Frogs, then turn left and follow sidewalk around the corner past McDonalds and follow Margaritaville signs to Fins Up Waterpark building towards the water. When I visited in November there was just one other couple there relaxing and enjoying the beach. My visit was directly after Tropical Storm/hurricane Nicole so some of the chairs/palapas were disheveled, and the boardwalk was being repaired. For $25.00 per adult it was a great price and exactly what I was looking for. No taxi needed, so no taxi fare, the beach was private, quiet, no vendors, use of towel, chairs, and clean restrooms. Do not expect any extras, no pool access, no beach side service, but the bar service was open to purchase drinks with a credit card. If you are looking for an inexpensive quiet beach day away from crowds this really is a good value.

I just did the Baha Bay Waterpark day pass on Monday November 14th. I booked with Resortforaday dot com for $160.00 each and grabbed a taxi at the cruise pier. It was about a 15 minute taxi ride $20.00 for first 2 guests and additional $4 for each additional passenger. Check in was a breeze, gave my printed pass, and we got bracelet wristbands. Rented a large locker for $20 credit card only. They added locker access to our wristband which was nice to not have to worry about losing key. Baha Bay was a splurge for us, but well worth it and will absolutely go back. Plenty of floats, no long lines, and no crowds. Loved the family slides. Many bars and restaurants inside the park to grab a bite to eat but they are credit card only and expect theme park prices. Love the Sugar Factory, that was our favorite and the 818 Bar/grill. We are already planning another cruise to Nassau just to go back to the Baha Bay park. If you have a full day in Nassau, I would highly recommend.

There are restrooms beside the pool, behind the bar, and chairs, towels were included, daybeds and umbrellas are first come, first serve. We purchased in advance on Resortforaday dot com and picked up our wristbands at Margaritaville's waterpark desk. This Serenity Beach at British Colonial has always been one of my favorite gems in Nassau. Love being able to walk there from the ship, and it's usually very quiet and private.

Yes, you can purchase beach passes and use the private beach, lounge chairs, cabanas, umbrellas/palapas; restrooms are open for day guest and there was bar service also available with credit card only.

British Colonial Resort is closed, but the property managers are offering Beach Day Passes to use their private beach. I got tickets on resort for a day dot com. It was like $25 for the day and you had access to use their chairs, umbrellas, daybeds on their private beach. The Bar service beside the pool was open. Pool was not opened last week when i spent the day. There was plenty of chairs and it was a very clean beach.
