  1. What do people do when the NCL App shows a bonus of 25k, then you click the link and it takes you to a page with 20k bonus? I don't want to apply for it and then get the smaller bonus
  2. The only way I 'think' you might be able to do it would be to cancel your cruise. Then book a new one. I don't know if that would work or not. You would be subject to change in the price of your cabin. Like maybe you cancel with NCL and then you rebook tomorrow with Costco or something. I don't know......
  3. I was researching the same topic on the Encore. From what I found, it depended on the deck. I believe it was 10th deck and above was shower only, but 9th deck and below it was the shower/tub combo. Could have been 10th deck and below....best way to tell is go to the youtube sites that have the videos for your cabin.
  4. Pretty much. We aren't sure the 13 year old will be sailing with us so right now it is a for sure gma and a 10 year old. I'm trying to figure out strategize how to utilize my benefit the best way. I don't want to use a $90 gift card and trade it for a happy meal. That just feels wrong. I completely understand the basis of not sharing because people would buy the 7 day packages, get the best price, and then share with all their friends in other cabins, but this is completely different.
  5. Free kids meals for those 12 and under. The 13 year old will be 13 years plus 14 days old. Will they force her to eat/order from adult meals? Like when we show our ID, will it allow her to have a kids meal or would it kick back the kids meal as invalid option because she is no longer 12? Secondly, it is well documented you can't give away specialty meals to others but can you switch plates? Or would this be a up to the specific specialty dining staff? My situation is we have Grandma in a cabin with a 13 year old granddaughter and a 10 year old granddaughter. On the reservation is gma, the 10 year old and then the 13 year old so the SDP is under gma and the 10 year old. There is no way that either of these girls would eat a $30 steak plus apps and sides. They can barely eat a happy meal. Just trying to figure out a way to utilize the 4 specialty dining credits (2 people X 2 meals) I don't really want to accept I will be forced to use a specialty dining credit on an already free kids meal Is it possible to do this? Meal 1 Specialty meal, kids meal, kids meal Meal 2 Specialty meal, kids meal, kids meal Meal 3 kids meal, Specialty meal, kids meal Meal 4 kids meal, Specialty meal, kids meal with meals 3 and 4, the staff would put the bill meal under the 10 year old and then gma could just switch plates or something? Any thoughts, ideas, ect? I called NCL to ask about it and they were less then helpful.
  6. The MA room will have me, the gf, and the 5 year old. Grandma will be in the M4 with at least one grand child, maybe two, not sure if child#2 is coming. The five year old may go over to Grandmas room for an overnight visit one or two nights. That's will give us some adult time 🥰🥰
  7. Thanks for the info. So the picture is pretty much true. I have another family of 5 that hasn't booked yet so I can forward him the info as well. He hasn't decided if he wants a BA or a MA room yet. Sounds like in this case, connecting will be the same for him and his family either way. Thanks for the knowledge and help.
  8. I appreciate the info. Is your example specifically for the Encore for the mini suites? Or is this pretty much standard across the board for adjoining rooms?
  9. Didn't think of that....I don't think that small of a partition would really matter in that case, however, if that's what they do, that's what they do Thank you for the info
  10. I had heard that they would remove the partitions on the deck at request if it was cabins within the same party. Of course what I heard doesn't make it true, hence the question. Why would it be a fire hazard? This is my first NCL voyage but cruise #5 overall but never heard of that as a reason. Not saying you are wrong, just curious why a fire hazard
  11. I was hoping that it was a sliding door AKA pocket door they can slide open so the parents could be in room A and the kids could be in room B and you can still quasi-watch them. Thank you for the picture, I couldn't find one. Do you know if that door would open flat against the wall so you could leave it wide open? Also do you think the bathroom door and the connecting door bash into each other? Looks like the door from the cabin isn't an issue unless the door is open, then it is a very narrow hallway
  12. Did you read my post? I am in one room, family is in room 2, I specifically booked this and I don't care about the noise. I'm just asking where the door is. If you don't know....then kindly do not respond
  13. but where is the door? is it on the wall with the bed? opposite of the bed, where is it? If it is at the foot of the bed, there isn't exactly a lot of room there...
  14. I'm going on the Encore with family with adjoining rooms. Specifically in our case, rooms 12788 + 12790. It shows adjoining rooms. I have been in hotel rooms that are adjoining and there is a wall with a door. Considering cabins don't exactly have a lot of unused wall space, can anyone tell me where the adjoining door is? or a video, picture, schematic, ect? I can't seem to find anything on this. I can't tell if there is a door inside the cabin or do they just remove the partition on the balcony and that is how you go back and forth. Anyone with experience actually using this feature?
  15. your other option is to just utilize facebook messenger or maybe google voice and utilize wifi calling. Usually you can find free hotspots on shore.
  16. It was a negative quirk within the Costco. It wasn't a NCL thing
  17. I didn't think it was possible, but I thought it was worth asking about. I asked my local TA and she thought it could be done. I'm one of those that likes to try wacky ideas. You never know unless you try though. Thought it was worth asking the forum about though.
  18. Here ya go 🙂 So 10% off the cruise fare, plus Group A or Group B. Basically, the Group benefits are the same as the current retail promotions PLUS the 10% off cruise fare PLUS one from the bonus box such as $100 OBC. Plus, the person that headed up the group, that person would get a kick bonus based on a calculation between cabins selected, # of people booked, and dollars spent. I have been told the kick back of anywhere from $500 - $1,000 for 5 cabins. So if all 5 rooms are balconies and the fare price is $2,600, you would save $260 per cabin + $100 OBC vs non-groups if a year out from sailing date. So that would be $360 in savings. Plus if I got the minimum of $500 kick back for 5 rooms, I would PayPal (or whatever every one wants) $125 per cabin. The more kick back I get, the more I would send out to people. In theory, that is about $500 in savings for people in the group.
  19. So basically you are saying, been there, done that, tried that, and didn't work out. Grrr....I don't like that answer, but I get it and that makes sense. I was getting excited about saving double the money but that makes sense.... Thank you for breaking my heart.... 😞
  20. Question about a group. From the info I have, a group is 5 or more cabins. I have 3 cabins for my sailing, but I have another 3 cabins that *might* come and have a total of 6. Does anyone know if I go into my Roll Call, find others that have booked directly with NCL, and then group us all together? Would that work? Group benefits are nice 🙂
  21. See, the person above said it could be a promo, you think it could be an IT thing. I just wish I could know for sure. Be great if I could know for sure. I would hate to tell others in the group, "Do this and this and boom, save lots of money" and then they buy double the certs and the system doesn't allow it. 😞
  22. That would be freaking awesome if that is the case....Do you know where I would find out if true and if so, how long this would be allowed? Like I said, I'm trying to organize a group and one of the families involved have 5 people so they need two cabins. If we could turn $250 x 2 = $500 savings for 2 cabins into $250 x 4 into $1,000 in savings, that would be phenomenal.
  23. I know this has been discussed multiple times and I know the T&C state you can only use one certificate at a time. Sorry to ask, however, the booking website shows something else. I'm looking for clarification from the group. When I go to check out, top left of image shows 2 voucher max, so I click on two. The bottom right shows - $500 twice. Will I be able to get away with this? And yes, I'm only booking 1 room with two people. Right now I'm planning to have a group or 5 or 6 rooms and if this will actually allow this, we could save some good money.
