lol its so true! On our last cruise this past August on Royal, it was this family that let their kid harass another kid on an excursion and the parents did NOTHING to intervene. We were in line for the tram in Juneau. They have one of those coin machines where you put the pennies and quarters in so that it stamps the penny. This girl had paid for hers and was going to turn the handle with another girl RUNS UP and grabs it and starts cranking away on it. Won't let her even have a turn. We thought they were related. Turns out it was that families youngest daughter. The parents literally stood there, did nothing to stop her. The older sister had to run over and grab her and tell her that it was not hers to do that with. The Grandma of the girl who paid bought her another one and they were whispering to each other and everyone felt so bad for the older sister because she has to be the parent in the family instead of the adults. The little girl then proceeded to throw a HUGE screaming tantrum because they wouldn't pay for a penny for her. Then she was trying to climb on everything, and proceeded to strip down to her underwear in the line. The parents did nothing. We literally kept running into that family all over the ship and the Dad was so weird. The parents were completely checked out and did nothing to parent their children. Like yes, I get being burnt out and I don't know their story. But if you're an adult, then act like one! It was just so sad for that older girl because she doesn't even get to be a kid. She has to parent her younger sister instead. Anyhow sorry to hijack with my rant.

Beautiful buildings! We went to San Juan but we went to the Cathedral the little square by it. We didn't do the other tours. I think you're being too hard on yourself! Sometimes it's nice to just wander around and not have a set itinerary. Is your map in any of your other reviews? You could always take photos and email them to yourself so that way you have them for future use.

It's because of the show Stranger Things. Everything 80s is cool again. and one of the beloved characters on there, Eddie, had a mullet.

They're having supply chain issues. I ordered one as soon as they were available last year for our August sailing, and just got an email today saying that the order is cancelled, that no blankets are available and they are refunding me. Which is extremely disappointing but oh well. I just wanted one as a souvenir, and it seemed useful.

How was it? Those popsicles sounded good! It's neat that they have stuff like that. I feel like they definitely changed out a lot of the furniture since your first review because the ship as a whole looks much more appealing and cohesive now. Things just have a better flow to them. It definitely seems like a fun cruise line and the food looks amazing. Sadly we can't go anytime soon since it's no kids, but hopefully someday!

It's sad but I didn't realize what Memorial Day was for until a few years ago when someone posted an informational thing online about it. Growing up they didn't really ever tell us in school, and despite having my Dad be retired Military, and various other family members in the Military, it somehow never came up what exactly the day was for. I literally thought it was just like 4th of July because it tends to get lumped together in all the stores.

One of the antique stores that used to be here decided to put them up in the rafters of their store. We get EQ's. Sure, it's not often, but still. Every time I went in there I was paranoid that I was going to die from one smashing down on me. They had really cool stuff, but it was so scary shopping in there because of that.

Are they all in the same group?

I doubt they would confront them. If anything most places just tack on the cost to the invoice and if they try to argue, they can tell them well, we have you on camera. I know a bunch of hotels started doing that with the robes/pillows because people kept stealing them.

With a ship that new, I bet there are cameras everywhere. Especially with the pandemic, a lot of them have facial recognition as well. So I doubt those people are as sneaky or as anonymous as they believe themselves to be. ETA - Yup. In the fine print on their site it says this: For the safety and security of Guests, we use closed circuit television (“CCTV”) or other surveillance means onboard the ship. We also deploy body cameras on our Security Team members. The body cameras record interactions with Guests and crew to ensure the protection of our Guests, crew, and Security Team members. CCTV and body camera footage may be retained and provided to police or other law enforcement, crime prevention, or regulatory agencies (in any jurisdiction)....

I mean, I'm not sure what else they expect. The smoking areas are always outside from what I've seen. At this point they're lucky that there is even a smoking area! Most places have gotten rid of them.

I looked up the temps for when we go and it's supposed to be in the 60s. Which is exactly what it is where I live. To me that's not really that cold either.

That bathroom is so funny. With the big windows. It has a nice view, but it would be a little wierd to actually use the toilet in there. Did they change things on the ship? Or maybe it just isn't SOOOO new looking? I swear it looks a lot better than when you went on your last trip. Like the furniture seems like it's arranged better and doesn't look so crazy? But I'm probably just imagining that. Before the decor looked really unappealing to me but it seems better this time somehow.

Ohhh I forgot that they show movies that are recently out of the theater by some months on the ships. I'm hoping RC does that too. We always catch up on all the movies we wanted to see in the theater but never got around to actually watching that way. Will definitely have to do that.

Get B Complex vitamins! It will make you not get a hangover. They taste and smell terrible though. I like the Black shoes, but I appear to be the dissenter lol. I just think Black matches everything better. But it looks like you have a lot of red in your clothes so the other shoes would match just fine too.

Same here. The Indian Food looks really good! I'm sad that the Carnival Ships we sailed on did not have that place.

Edited to add - I found it. It says that they still do the Cruise Package. I think I ended up not booking it because it costs $100 more a night, and the shuttle doesn't cost that much.

We had that happen too so I bought a travel plug converter set because last time where not nearly enough plugs for all of our stuff! Great review so far! Did the hotel not have the shuttle to the cruise terminal anymore? I booked it because it said they had one, but if not I may need to switch where we are staying at for our Alaska Cruise!
