I was told that tipping in Europe isn't as customary as other places. We plan on extra tips for the ship, but can anyone tell me if this is true for the tours?
We usually tip for tours, but we have never been to Europe, so I'm not sure what we are supposed to do.:confused:

Just wondering if anyone has ever done an excursion (bought from the ship's excursions) the day you board the ship.
I'm looking at one for Barcelona. It leaves at 9:15am but we won't be on the ship yet.
My question is - what to do with our luggage, if we take it to the port, will there be porters that can take our luggage that early? I'm pretty sure that we won't be able to check in that early. If we leave it at the hotel, then we will have to take a cab from the port to the hotel and back just to get our luggage. Seems silly to do that.
Please help if you have a simple answer for me.:confused:

I'm hoping that someone can tell me what the sea might be like in September on a western Mediterranean cruise. I realize that it will always be different, but if you've travelled this sea at this time of year, could you please let me know how it was! Any information would be helpful! ;p:confused:

Don't know O.
Haven been on Constellation and like her. She is a nice sized ship. We'll be on Reflection this year to the Med. We chose Reflection due to her B2B schedule, price and we've never been on her before. It has more passengers than Connie so we'll see how that goes on tender ports as well as general crowding.
Thanks!!:)

When we booked ours it was 609 days, and I thought it would never get here. But now we are at 13 days. The wait will totally be worth it Cruisingirl2012.

We are doing the reverse in 2 weeks. We leave from Oahu, do the Islands and then 5 days on the ocean to arrive in Vancouver. I'm hopeful that the water will be calm. Fingers crossed. As far as being bored, I don't think that will be a problem. They have so many activities going on throughout the day that you won't be able to go to all of them.
I have read some reviews that say that (in your case) the first couple of days might be a bit cooler, so I would recommend taking a sweater just in case.
I will send you a post when we get back and let you know how things went!

They can make almost any drink if you have the Classic pkg. They use their house brands for the Classic pkg., but we never had a drink that we didn't enjoy. We decided not to upgrade to the Premium pkg. If you like Martinis, then you will need to go with the Premium pkg. They aren't included in the Classic.

Thanks for all the info on the Days Inn everyone. I did Google it at street level to see what was there.
We finish our cruise on the day we plan to stay at the Days Inn. We are taking a tour of Vancouver that lasts 4hrs. So our hotel stay is just a place to lay our heads until the next day when we fly home. We thought we might stop by the casino and try our luck, and that's why we wondered how safe the area is.
We have been to Vancouver once before. We aren't fancy people so I'm sure the food at the casino will be fine. Thanks again for all the comments! :D

Can anyone give me information about Days Inn on Sexsmith Rd.? It looks like an industrial area. Is it safe, are there any restaurants close by? Could we walk to and from the casino and feel comfortable doing so?

Originally we were looking at the end of August. But now I'm thinking maybe w should go in June. Sounds like it might be nicer. I' From Canada so I'm used to the cold. And the rain doesn' bother me. My big concern is rough waters. I guess I will just stock up on sea sickness meds. That way I'm prepared.
Thanks everyone for all the great feedback. I really appreciate you all.:D:D

I' not sure but on the cruise site it says that it stops at Warnemuende. Are they close?

Ok. Thanks for clearing it up for me.
Now I can understand better what everone is talking about.:confused::D

I'm going to ask what might seem like a dumb question to most of you, but I really have no idea on this.
Is a Baltic cruise the same as a Scandinavia & Russia cruise? If not, what is the difference?
Sorry if it seems like a silly question. :o

Sorry, I forgot to say when it was going. There is one June 26th, one July 20th and Aug 1st and Aug 25th. We were looking at the Aug.25th date. Are the waters calm then or should we be going earlier? And is one month better than the other as far as rain goes. Thanks!!

We are looking at a cruise in Europe. It leaves from Amsterdam and goes to ports in Berlin, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
We have never done a cruise to Europe. Can someone who has done this cruise tell me what to expect as far as the weather goes. Also will it be fairly smooth sailing on the ship?:confused:

I'm not sure if I have the correct board for my question or not. Our cruise ends in Vancouver BC and I was looking at an excursion to be booked from the ship.
It is - Vancouver Sightseeing With Airport Drop-Off . This tour is 2 1/2 hrs long. If anyone has done this tour, I would like to know approx. how long the stops are and if it's worth the money. PLEASE help!!!!:confused:

We are cruising on the Solstice in April 2018. We have the internet pkg. (came with our trip)
Can someone please tell me if I bring my laptop, can I use it in our stateroom, or do we have to use the computers on the ship?
-
Thanks so much for letting me know. We will use Uber or Lyft for sure. :D
-
So, approximately how much would it cost for a cab, Uber or Lyft?

We will be arriving in Honolulu a few days before our cruise departs.
What is the most economical way to get to the port from the Holiday Inn Beachcomber.
We aren't renting a car.

Hello everyone!! We are cruising with Celebrity to Hawaii. We will be arriving a few days before the cruise. Can someone who has done this cruise please tell me if I can purchase Hawaiian coffee and bring it on the ship? I enjoyed the coffee and would like to buy some on this trip.:)

When we went to Alaska in May of last year, we just showed up to the MDR, and sat at a table. It was a very good luncheon.:)

Thank you for a wonderful review. I found it very helpful!! Can you tell me (if you know) approx. how much souvenir t-shirts cost? We are from Canada and the exchange on the Euro is very high right now. So I don't want to buy a lot of extra Euros. We will be bringing shirts back for our grandkids and I have no idea of the cost. Also, can you buy Euros on the ship? Do they charge a lot more than the going rate at the banks? Any info would help me out. Thanks!!
