  1. There were also a long list of people who got bumped from CO. Most seemed to find out when they boarded.
  2. As it turned out the PCC made an error with our original booking. After 5 hours the accounting dept determined she made a mistake and so our proper refund was $350 and $365 for CO. They also gave us $100 pp OBC. And one of our rooms was an inside so no upgrade.
  3. I think the fixed open seating time can work well. I assume that is what we will end up doing. so I showed spouse some of the suggestions and he’s down in hotel lobby calling again. At this point I’ve given up and the hot hotel room is not helping matters. After midnight here in Copenhagen.
  4. Spoke with Ship Inventory (little English), then his manager, then the Resolution Desk. Also emailing with PCC dept. I’m an attorney so somewhat knowledgeable about how to handle matters but no one budged. Really unfortunate. We called the number above but possibly that is now routed elsewhere.
  5. Our children are 18 and 20. We have one veranda and one inside room so two bookings and two full payments for CO.
  6. Spent several hours on the phone getting transferred from one person to the next. Zero resolution. We are getting reimbursed about $480 of the $700 cost of CO. Was told by one person it was probably due to the room upgrade. (So much for us getting to “keep the upgrade”) Plus getting $50 per person OBC. Everyone was adamant that we are not entitled to anything more. Very discouraging. A lot of language barriers with most departments. Our PCC has disappeared. Probably with our $220. 🙄
  7. Both of our accounts received it. Plus per my second post each of our accounts is showing a credit but less than cost is CO. I wonder if they ended up charging us for the upgraded Cabin selected with the CO.
  8. Thanks I missed your earlier post. Sitting at AMS airport now waiting for office to open.
  9. If anyone has a contact number I would appreciate it, our PCC has vanished. I also just checked our account and I assumed the "refund" would be $350 per stateroom but it is $151 for one room and $296 for the other, so that makes zero sense. The refund is showing on our balance statement for the cruise purchase. Is this something I can discuss with someone onboard the ship?
  10. We booked our cruise four or five months ago via a PCC and paid for CO for ourselves and the children's room. Last evening, about 36 hours before we board in Copenhagen, we received an email that CO was oversold, and it was taken away from our reservations. They offered to refund the cost of the CO plus $50 per person OBC. I am very disappointed as now I need to scramble when on board for other dinner reservations. We are 3 star and cruise about once or twice a year. I have never heard of this happening but haven't kept track of recent travelers.
  11. This is what I want to know. We leave in 10 days and the cruise is long paid for, but if I knew the offer would work, I would buy some OBC now.
  12. Ugh we leave next week and I looked at the weather and it is warm. Low 70's sound lovely, but when it looks like 80 degrees in Oslo, that starts getting hot. We were in the Baltics a few years ago in July and it was a heat wave - 90% of the things I packed were too heavy and I ended up wearing tennis skirts and tops every.single.day. I'm really hoping it won't be that warm this June.
  13. My parents are on the Iceland to NYC cruise (boarded 6/6). They found out today at least 3 ports have been canceled due to the ice - they mentioned both stops in Greenland and at least one other, maybe 2. Now spending the night in one port in Iceland and have 4 days at sea in a row. It was hard to follow them on speaker. Viking offered credit towards a future cruise I believe.
  14. We have a cruise on Saturday the 3rd and did the Walgreens NAAT tonight. (Wednesday)
  15. I have the same problem. I came here to see if anyone had any ideas what is going on.
  16. Just going to chime in. We did a neptune with 4 when boys were 8 and 10 ish and they barely fit on the pullout. I don't think two teenagers would enjoy it at all. Two weeks ago to Alaska we did a balcony for parents and an inside room across the hall for teenage boys and they were delighted to be in a dark room. HAL requires even for teenagers that they be across the hall or next door. I"m not sure I would spring for two balconies although I do like connecting rooms. We have also done a neptune and an inside room and that was super. You can do it yourself on line with two rooms. added: I like Neptune suites on the 7th floor near the lounge. We had a neptune for our alaska trip a few years ago and it rocked. Sooooo nice to have the big balcony to watch the glaciers. That may have been the year we were all in one room. But it is big enough that 4 fit fine except for the 2 on the pullout.
  17. the Walgreens NAAT test is used by a good percentage of people who cruise. It is under the PCR umbrella.
  18. I want to clarify one thing. The Walgreens NAAT test is under the PCR umbrella so may be done 72 hours before boarding. It is NOT an antigen but a PCR. We did our Walgreens NAAT test on a Wednesday evening before our Vancouver Saturday departure two weeks ago. We did take the time difference into consideration so took the tests at 4:30 p.m. as our boarding time was noon. However, from lots of other posts Verifly has no idea of your boarding time so we probably would have been fine doing the test earlier in the day.
