  1. Hi all,

Just a few questions that I'm sure have already been asked but I haven't had any luck finding them so I will ask again.

    1) Is there a Starbucks onboard? If not, is there a comparable specialty coffee shop that makes frozen fraps?

    2) In the Jr. Suite, is there a standard electrical outlet in the bathroom?

    3) Is there still the option to purchase a CD from the cruise. We didn't see this option last time.

  2. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe this might be the stateroom that we are in on the May 29th sailing. Since we've never had a balcony stateroom before, I will take it. Since the hubby and daughter like to sleep in, I hate getting up and around to much so I don't wake them. I'm really looking forward to my mornings sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise. I. CAN'T. WAIT.

  3. The husband and I along with our 11 yr old daughter will be sailing on the May 29th sailing. This will be our first time in the Jr Suite and the first time ever with a balcony. Just curious to know how much if any direct sun that it gets? I would like to sun bathe sometime if I just want some peace and quiet. Also curious to know how windy it gets on the balcony. It would be nice to let our bathing suits air dry out there but don't want to risk them blowing away. Have any of you slept with your balcony door open? I LOVE the sound of the waves and thought that it would be so relaxing to fall asleep with it open so I could hear it, but just concerned that it will make our room to muggy and humid. Who knows maybe i will just sleep out there. Lol! Thoughts? Advice?

  4. Black Monkey. Got it on my first cruise back in 2001. I don't even remember all that was in it. Creme de cocoa, Baileys, 2 other liquors blended with ice and a banana. I saw the bartender making one for someone else and when I told him that it looked good he gave me a sample and I was hooked. He was the only one on the ship that could make it and haven't found anyone since :-(

  5. When we went on the Navigator last May I just carried my bottles in my back pack and wrapped like a shirt or something around each one to keep them from breaking. When we were boarding the ship, we were sent to a separate line to declare our bottles. We just had to take them out, show them to them and they took down our names and stateroom number. I don't know if they double check all that or not. I figure it's not worth the risk of possibly having a bottle confiscated.

  6. You're on the same sailing we are!

I asked a friend about that a few months ago and she said no docks, there wasn't even an alarm clock. I've heard that some of the suites, maybe the royal or owner's, might have them but I don't know. We are bringing a small wireless bluetooth speaker and a small travel alarm clock.

No alarm clocks? I always use my cell phone for mine, but is there a clock of any kind at all in the rooms? Also, do the rooms have blow dryers? I think they do, but it has been quite a while since we last cruised.

  7. My husband called customer service to ask some questions about the drink packages because we were up in arms as to which packages we really wanted to get. With so many of us traveling, things can get costly fast. The lady that he spoke with brought up a good point. We will have 3 full days in port where we won't be on the ship, so how much drinking will we actually do on those days. I guess I could just look at things this way. I have worked very hard to lose quite a bit of weight before this cruise and I'm very happy where I'm headed weight wise. I know that sodas and alcoholic beverages are just carb filled glasses. If I just stick with the free stuff and maybe splurge on a few drinks, not only will this save us money, but it will also hopefully help keep me from gaining back a few pounds while we are on board. I would rather use the money on other things like photos, gifts, etc.

  8. Navigator...May 31! Did you/others bring on your own bottled water?

They will not allow you to bring any bottled water on the ship as they sell it (for a pretty penny on board), you can however bring 2 bottles of wine. We set sail on May 24th. The count down has already begun. It will be me, the hubby, our 18 year old daughter (the three of us have cruised before), our 10 year old daughter and our 26 yr old "adopted" daughter. Lol! It will be both of their first time cruising. My 10 year old was VERY nervous about it at first but I have since shown her lots of videos and pictured from our past cruises. She is now VERY excited to go.

  9. We cruise on NOS on May 24th. I'm soooooooo excited and ready to set sail. I totally need this vacation. It's been a pretty rough 6-8 months for me and this get away is exactly what I need. Sailing with my sweet hubby, 18 yr old daughter, 10 yr old daughter and our "adoptive" daughter who is 26. It will be the 10 yr old and 26 yr olds first cruise. Anyone else on here have a 9-10 yr old daughter that is going? I know my daughter is looking forward to Adventure Ocean and making some new friends.
