  1. I have been on the fence myself about wether or not to go buy a new dress or two for formal night. I have the one I wore last time we cruised, but will have to lose a bit more weight before I can fit back into it. Lol! I would love a new dress, but knowing that would be pretty much the only time that I wear it… might just save the $$$ instead. This will be our youngest daughters first cruise (she will be 10 yrs) and is already so excited about formal night. She doesn't have any dresses that fit her as she has decided to shoot up a few inches the last few months. I guess I will just use my dress money on hers instead. Lol!

  2. I checked out the menu last night and OMG it all sounds so wonderful. I would like one of everything please. Lol! I need to go back through it with my youngest daughter (will be 10 yrs when we sail) and see what she thinks she might like to eat. The best part about it is that if you don't like it or eat it all and are still hungry, you can always have something different/more.

  3. The family and I will be sailing on the NOS May 24th. My youngest daughter will be 10 when we sail. I know that she will love the Adventure Ocean program, however the question that I have is are there evening activities that you can bring kiddos to as well. I have seen one of the Compass sheets and there are events that specify 18+ to attend, so am I right in assuming that if it doesn't specify, that it's ok to bring my daughter? I don't want to feel like we have to turn in early because we have her with us. We have cruised before when my other daughter was 11 yrs. (but that was 7 years ago). I know that she would love things like BINGO, and dancing the night away and things like that. I'm just looking for suggestions. Isn't there a night or two where they can stay in AO until really late?

  4. I'm sure that this is probably mentioned on here somewhere, but seeing as there are 555 pages of message boards, I don't really want to take the time to look for it. We currently booked for the May 24th sailing but we are wanting to upgrade to an OV cabin and currently have a hold on cabin #2316 . I'm looking for some one who has sailed in this room before. I have looked at the deck plans and see that it is right across the hall from the elevator, down the hall from the ice center, and is also a connecting room (the connecting room only holds 2 people). I'm just concerned that this could be a fairly noisy area, but have also heard from other people that the rooms are sound proofed pretty well. Can you tell me about your experience? Thanks!

  5. The hubby and I have tried to get on this game show twice now. I'm hoping that third times a charm. It would be do much fun. We "play" in the audience and so far we have guessed each others answers correctly. Crossing my fingers that we can get on this time. We sail the Navigator in May.

  6. We will be stopping here on our Next cruise on the Navigator in May. We will have our youngest daughter with is (will be 10 yrs old) so probably won't get to do much activities. I would like to go to the beach maybe and do some shopping. Interesting to hear about not wearing any jewelry. Our last cruise took us to Montego Bay where we did not feel 100% safe. I have no desire to go back there again. My daughter and I both had hair that is about mid back length. Would you suggest that we put it up in a bun or something? When we were in Montego Bay my middle daughter had hair down to her waist and when we were shopping these three women grabbed her (one on each arm and one around her waist) and practically dragged her into their shop so they could braid her hair. It freaked her out pretty bad and is not an experience I want to have happen again. Suggestions?

  7. Does anyone happen to know if we can bring a case of bottled water with us on the ship. I hate the prices of their bottled water. I know when we cruised last (in 2007) some people we ran into on the ship said that they had, but I know that rules and policies change from time to time. Just trying to plan. We sail on 5-24-15 I can't wait!!!

  8. A favorite sail away spot for me is the helicopter landing pad at the very front of the ship (Voyager, Freedom and Radiance classes). Most folks don't figure out the way there until later in the cruise. Just go out to the wrap around promenade under the life boats (deck 4 on Freedom) and walk all the way forward. There will be stairs that take you up one deck, continue walking toward the front and you'll soon be at the heli pad with one of the best views on board.

Second best place: Viking Crown Lounge. Easier to find, just take the aft elevators up to the very top.

Ok I'm seriously going to have to see if I can find my way there. Lol!
