Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Don't know if this was asked before but here it goes. I purchased carnival gift cards to pay off my cruise. I added the cards. It shows it was added. Logged out and went back a couple hours later and it's showing my old balance. What did I do wrong?
  2. I am a Costco member but I am also a AAA member. AAA was actually $100 cheaper.
  3. I'm dropping off car at Hertz. My plan is to drop off luggage (Mardi Gras). Then husband and 7 yr old son will go with me for the car return. Has anyone used Hertz? Where do you re-fuel before drop off? How was the shuttle? What time do you suggest getting to the port? Hoping for an early check in. We are coming from Disney Springs, what time should i leave the hotel?
  4. I was just offered an ocean suite on deck 9 mid ship on the Mardi Gras but it seems like it's under a public area. I turned it down because 1. the location and 2. the offer was $864. I'm currently in a balcony on deck 15 with cabins above and below.
  5. I am booked on Mardi Gras in August. It would be myself, DH and DS age 7. We were looking to go a day early rent a car stay in Disney Springs area then drive to the port next morning drop off luggage/family and the return car. After reading the vlogs I see where this maybe kind of chaotic. Now I'm thinking to use GoPort Fly Snooze Cruise staying at a hotel near the airport, rent a car for the day, return the car later that night and have the GoPort shuttle for transportation to and from the cruise. The last option it looks like I'll save some money and less hastle. What do you guys think? Any suggestions.
  6. I really missed that itinerary. Sailed it 3 times. Way better port of calls.
  7. We had dinner at JiJi the first night. The food was good. The Chefs Table Monday night, it was a good experience, Wednesday Teppanyaki, it was a lot of food I couldn't finish it. Thursday Cucina del Capitano, it was decent and the steak house Saturday night, food was good. We also had the cheers package husband did it justice. I had occasional cocktail, specialty coffee, soda and water. Was it worth it. It was piece of mind that there wasn't a bill at the end of the cruise.
  8. I stayed in a spa balcony deck 11 port side. I only had breakfast in the buffet area. The only long lines were the omlete station. I most say I didn't encounter any rude people and I didn't hear any complaints. I had exursions is all 4 ports through carnival. Aruba we did the submarine with carnival and an island tour with someone at the port, Curacao we an island tour with a beach break that also went to the caves, La Romana we did the Top 10 and Amber Cove the Wild truck adventure with beach break. They all were very good.
  9. There were some areas. Walking through casino and the buffet for sure.
  10. Just had an amazing 8 day going to Aruba, Curacao, La Romana and Amber Cove. The CD Donkey was amazing. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them.
