I have the newest technology (brand new Mac) but as soon as I log into my account I can do 1 or 2 more clicks and that was that. Website doesn't respond any more. Doesn't have anything to do with internet speed. The website is just crap.

Which brings me back to this thread 😉

We only just got rid of carrier pigeons to send messages
Well we are at the bottom of the world 😀
You should've kept them. Sometimes they are much more reliable than the internet. 😉

Our cruise is on 7/10. So far I have had not problem with the app or Web Site.
It might be alright for some... but basically all other cruise lines have better websites regarding design, user-friendliness and content. Plus, Seabourn social media is almost non-existent.

42.2 😱 Dear Christ. Are you still sending telegrams as well? 🤪
250 here in Berlin.... and even more in other cities like Frankfurt...

Okay so my partner said there is not a drinks fridge on that deck area.
Today marks a year and a half since we were last on a Seabourn ship. Memory is acting up.
Who's right, who's wrong? Hopefully someone else, will comfirm or deny the presence of the fridge!Tadaaaaaaa.....
Here to serve.... there used to be a drinks "buffet" in front of the sun terrace sunbeds like in the photo... this was replaced by a fridge. 😉

Wasn’t easy for us on our last Seabourn voyage, but then we aren’t special guests and won’t be this time. We did get great service from our cabin attendant but other than that we had to wait for drinks and oftentimes in the busy bars by the pool and in the forward lounge we were ignored.
To be honest I, have never heard that a guest on Seabourn was unable to get a drink in various venues.
The staff are more than attentive and when you cough loud enough you should be getting their attention very quickly. Especially under today's circumstances 😂.
Once during Ovation's premier season, though, I had trouble getting a drink in the Observation Bar at night. But then I just stood up, walked up to the bar and asked the 2 guys behind the bar if there is anything that I could do for THEM, maybe take some orders, help with mixing cocktails, that sort of thing to make THEIR life easier...
You can trust me, they understood pretty fast and I had my cocktail served before I was back in my chair..

Is there any Shuffleboard on board the Silver Moon?

😆I understand the need for photos.
Yes i'm in Western Australia. Due to our low vaccination rates due to mixed messaging re safety of vaccines and some people feeling no need to rush vaccines as we keep our numbers low with the locked down so our border closures remain.
We can't travel abroad unless we are granted exemptions so most of us have no thought about trying to get back in. There is messaging going out recently that is trying to get more people to accept and understand the need to increase vaccination or our country will be left behind as more countries open up.
That is why I hope all goes well with cruising, opening up overseas etc as maybe it will convince more people here to trust the vaccines. Less than 2 weeks and my husband and I will get our second dose of AZ. Yay.
Wow, that story is really hard to believe. People in Germany would go mad if we had the same rules over here.
Concerning AZ: I had the first shot in March. German health authorities a few days ago announced that because of better protection against the delta variant AZ should be combined with a second shot of mRNA-vaccine which in my case was Pfizer/BioNTech. Maybe you have a talk with your physician.
We have good friends in Australia and always REALLY enjoyed the company of all the funny Aussies onboard. You will certainly be missed!
I hope everything will be open again soon. We will sail again. We will meet again.
ALL THE BEST! -

I am not sure if you want photos. For me it just made the green eyed monster a little greener, even though I am happy that markham and co are having a good time...or so I keep telling myself 😁.
I absolutely NEED photos 😉 markham should start a new thread about the grand Seabourn restart.
frantic, are you in Australia now?
I read an article in Frankfurter Allgemeine about your de facto travel ban.
So if you travel abroad, you won't be let back into Australia, right?
If so, that's really crazy.

Hi markham,
could you open a new thread for your report please?
Can't wait for your stories.... 😉 ... and photos 😉 ....
Thanks and happy sailing!

I'm not sure why you quoted me here ? Your first two sentences, I believe that is the same as I wrote in my post. So we are in agreement, no?Total agreement. That's the reason why I quoted you - not to contradict you.
Agreed? 😉

In my experience, the marina is used infrequently in the Caribbean. We've been doing a Caribbean cruise with SB nearly every year for around 10 years and on our cruises there has never been an actual marina day, I've only ever seen it in the Mediterranean.
It's highly dependent on suitable anchorage, sea and weather conditions. We may just have been unlucky!
There will be water toys available on beach BBQ/Caviar in the Surf days but at least on our cruises they were not used directly off the marina. When there is a Caviar in the Surf beach day, they don't make use of the marina. They take all the stuff, toys, etc to the beach.
I think Marina day alone is a pain for the crew because so many people are involved in organization and safety. If the weather is not 100% perfect they will take it off the list.

Regarding Silver Moon Greece itinerary:
I'm very happy with the free excursions offered. It's an interesting mix: hikes, bus tours, pottery classes, beach trips, historic tours... interesting stuff, both mornings and afternoons options.
Also, very easy to handle the Silversea website, clear and simple layout.

... It's easy to get drinks and food EVERYWHERE on a Seabourn ship.
Wouldn't dream of paying for that sad version of a VIP sundeck.
-
It's where they host Caviar in the Surf.
Probably like Sir Bunny... nothing but a nice beach. 😉

Just browsing through "MySilversea".
Excited to see all these included excursions.
And guess what: They offer AM and PM excursions 😍
e.g. morning hike and afternoon beach break on the island of Paros...and in the evening there is still time for a stroll through the port... LOVE IT...

I was just responding to SLSD’s post not to the OP. I still hope Seabourn does not consider altering our schedule for summer Greek cruises. The early departures are one reason we booked the cruises.
Maybe you should check out TUI Cruises.
They still offer "blue cruises" where you never leave the ship. 😉
Seabourn website: TERRIBLE !

When I first checked for their cruises (SS) I thought the same, but when you scroll further down or click on "suites and fares" the prices for the different categories are below the different suite types. That's for their German site. All in all I'm much more satisfied with the SS website than the Seabourn thing.
Also, when you're booked the "My Silversea" section is very handy. I particularly like the cruise planner.
It shows all the relevant times every day, includes restaurant reservations, excursions, spa... Very easy to use, too.
