  1. Day 5 - Sea Day Breakfast in Luminae. The sun was out and then it started to get cloudy. While there, Captain Dimitrios Kafetzis came over with his 10am morning announcement that we were about 5 minutes out from squalls and winds of 20 knots. He said he didn't have good news for the weather changing today. Our plan was a day on the Retreat Sundeck and in the pool. So... the Captain was giving a talk in the theatre at 10:15am. We decided to go. We got there around 10:30am though. He is funny. There was this loud thump, like we hit something. He pretended to get on his phone and then said, 'How many people?' Obviously nothing concerning since he continued to talk to us. 😆 We then decided to see what the Retreat Pool Deck was like. No rain! So, off we went. The attendants are all friendly. They set up the loungers to be covered with towels. Then it started to rain so they set up new loungers under cover. The skies didn't look promising so I thought I would check out the Solarium. One word: Packed! I did find one chair and the pool was empty except for people sitting on those in water pool chairs. I saved the one lounger I saw to see if my mom and dad wanted to come down. My mom could have the lounger and my dad and I would go in the pool. I went back up to the Retreat Pool Deck and it was brighter so we decided to stay. I went down to get my tote I left in the Solarium. I was getting hungry, so we ordered lunch. The chicken sandwich and burger take about 25 minutes. That was fine. We were able to get pool time in. We were the only ones in there. Again, our own private pool. 😃 NO complaints there. The sun was coming out and some blue skies. Then some drizzle. I thought the food would be coming. Well, it's good we got out because it started pouring. We had just sailed past St Croix...it was hidden behind a cloudy sky but it was faintly seen. Lunch arrived. I should have asked what the chicken sandwich was on because it came on a croissant. I am not a fan of them. It was a mess with all of the flakes but I ate it. It tasted good. Next time, I'll see if it can be on something else. A nice crusty baguette would be perfect! Since we ate, it has gotten brighter, drizzled, rained sideways, got windy and gets brighter again but there are 10 of us out here...diehards. 😂 It gets so cloudy that you can't see the water and then the clouds disperse and there's the water again. Of all my cruises, I've never had rain like this. I guess it was bound to happen one day. 💧 ☔️ 🌧 It is quiet and relaxing up here on Deck 17 forward. There is some rocking but I'm enjoying my frozen Mango Banana Daiquiri with Malibu. My boyfriend loves football so he's in the cabin watching, plus he has his laptop to keep tabs on things. He went to Le Grand Bistro for an almond croissant. $2. He said it was ok but has had better. He said Craft Social is packed. Side note about Craft Social. It's adorable on the Equinox. I know it was the old wine bar. Here on the Beyond, the casino doesn't have a bar. Craft Social is outside of it. It is too small. It is almost always packed. Last night, people were spilled out into the hall while watching the World Series. I'll post some pics from today so far. 🍹
  2. You're Welcome! I love the Retreat Areas on the Beyond!!! 🥰 The lounge and pool deck are very nice. Spacious. Staff all are great. Well, the hostess at Luminae isn't exactly the friendliest but other than her, wonderful. I commented today that the cabin is great. We all like it. 2 cabins, 4 of us. Comfortable, good amount of storage. Well appointed. The balcony chair is my only complaint. I would book again, without hesitantation. Maybe I shouldn't let the secret out. 😂 Thank You! 🍹
  3. I love patterns, textures and shapes. The Beyond is full of them. I will have multiple posts but here are a few to start. 🍹 Inside wall at Luminae Carpet in Luminae Light in Luminae that goes around room Carpet on Deck 3 by the area where you see the inner walls of the Beyond Floor near the Sunset Bar Ceiling and Ceiling Fan - Both Palm Leaves at Sunset Bar Oceanview Cafe - Near hand washing station It won't let me add more. This has been an issue the whole cruise.
  4. A new favorite since I've been onboard. Banana Republic 🍌 - from World Class Funny, because I'm not a huge tequila fan and I don't drink coffee (only like it in stouts and porters). 😉 🍹
  5. The Magic Carpet has moved! It's on Deck 5, I believe. I did walk out on it this afternoon (first time) and it wasn't crowded and had some great views of the side of the ship. I'll have to go out and look at the cocktail list and post pics. 🍹
  6. I believe for specialty packages, you can't pre-book (which I think is crazy) and you book onboard. I would suggest you book as soon as you board. They will have spots available for those with packages. As far as times, that I don't know. My cruise, spots were booked months in advance, especially for times like 6:30pm. I booked a long time ago. Also, perhaps you should contact Celebrity about special medical needs. There is an area in the Cruise Planner with the phone #. Maybe they can 'guarantee' you get your preferred time. 🍹
  7. Pool until 10pm. Pool bar until 8pm. There are many live plants at the Rooftop Garden. There are other 'plants' around the ship but fake. There are real orchids in some of the bathrooms. Some other live plants too. I will post pics. I have a lot of catch up to do. 😂 🍹
  8. I haven't been in a pool yet so we came late to the Retreat Pool. Perfect. It's our own private pool! 😉 Lovely. Staff is so friendly! Cocktails, atmosphere. Perfection. Really! 🥰 Cocktail is the Copperhead. Now to get ready for dinner! 🍹 They sink down when you sit so you can't exactly swing. 😆
  9. Thank You! I have many more to post. It is a lot of work to keep up. You are amazing at keeping so up to date on a daily basis. 😉 🍹
  10. Will update on our day so far but just finished the Mixology Class at World Class Bar. Still sitting here. Excellent the first time on the Equinox and just as good, even better this year!!! 🥳 🍹
  11. Eden Restaurant - Dinner Night 3 Excellent. The food, service and atmosphere. After all of the hype, I feel it was worth it. I would go back and I would recommend it. Will post pictures later today. I know I have a lot of catching up to do with food. 😉 🍹
  12. I am currently sitting in one. The cushion is fine (except when it gets wet) but the metal pole arms and lack of a high back are not conducive for an extended time sitting out here. The only way I could put my head back is to move the chair closer to the balcony door glass and lean up against that. Not ideal. I haven't complained much on this thread so I'm allowed to about the chair. 😉 When just sitting and relaxing while listening to the sound of the waves as we make our way to Curaçao, putting my head back at the moment would be lovely. I am still enjoying sitting out here but a better chair (S-class) and a footstool would be even better. As for no foot stool. I have my feet on the table. I prefer the foot stool (again S-class). 'Design' Fail. 😆 🍹
  13. Hi! Thanks, hcat! 😃 As long as you aren't in a cabin on the Magic Carpet Track, your bed will face the water. The balconies are the same size too (except aft and Magic Carpet ones). The aft sky suites don't face the water either, but you said you are on the side. 🍹
  14. Do you know... I thought that was you at the bar! I should have come closer to see. Hehe. We were at a table against the wall behind you. 🍹
  15. The Atlantic Ocean. I love the sound of the water while sailing. Beautiful out! This is what cruising is all about. 🥰 🍹 Views from Deck 5. Promenade. No filter. 😉 Natural Beauty.
  16. Sky Suite - Bed Facing the Water Con't... 🍹 Water and items in the refrigerator and top of dresser are included. Our Butler asked what we wanted. We said just water. My boyfriend asked for pineapple juice, she brings a glass every night and puts it in the refrigerator. There is coke in there but we don't drink it. We could have alcohol too, but when she asked on embarkation day, we said water was good. It is constantly re-stocked. We get our cocktails from around the ship. 😉 There is also a pot to boil hot water and there is an assortment of Twinings and Bigelow Tea Bags.
  17. Sky Suite - Bed Facing the Water Con't... 🍹 We have cabins next to each other so we asked for the divider to be opened. I have a solid wall on one side. I knew this when booking. I researched it prior to the ship being built but figured it out and was correct. 😉 My mom and dad have the pole that I believe was referred to polegate when the Edge came out. The chairs. No. Celebrity needs to change these. When wet, the cushions take forever to dry and they aren't very comfortable. The point of the balcony is to sit out there and enjoy it. Yes, I can sit out there but the chairs need to be thrown 'overboard'. Not really, but figuratively. 😉 The Magic Carpet has been parked up there. Not an issue at all. We aren't close to it, it appears closer in the pictures.
  18. Sky Suite - Bed Facing the Water Some pictures. More to Follow. 🍹 So you can get an idea what will fit in the closet. This is the double door closet. There is also another backpack that goes in there. Our checked suitcases are under the bed.
