  1. This is the 'box' of outlets in the cabins. This is in the Sky Suite and it's near the 'desk'. It's the same in Aqua, Infinite, Inside, etc... As for the larger suites, I am not positive but I would guess it's the same and if not the box then there would be outlets. 🍹
  2. Hi! Here is a picture of the menu that I took on the Equinox in the Sky Lounge in October '21. Hope this helps and now you have the ingredients so you can experiment and tweak the amounts. In case the picture doesn't show. SCORPIO Powerful, Wise, Self-Reliant Ciroc Pineapple, Coconut Water, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Club Soda 🍹
  3. I was on the Beyond in a Sky Suite and our butler asked on embarkation day during the introduction and room tour what we wanted the refrigerator stocked with. Alcohol, beer, juice, water, soda... 🍹
  4. Hi! I haven't been on the Apex but I was on the Beyond in October and it has Starlink. We were a part of the Retreat so had the upgraded internet. I don't know if Apex has Starlink yet but whether it does or doesn't, you'll have whatever the Premium internet is. I've had the Premium internet on Celebrity ships (before any of them had Starlink) and it all works the same way. ~ Speed was decent. There were times I had problems with Cruise Critic but other than that, e-mail and websites worked pretty well. I didn't do speed tests. I know many people have on different ships and have posted the results. ~ 1 device per person. To switch from your phone to say a tablet, you sign off on one and sign into the other. What you do is create a username and password so technically you could use your phone and say your laptop by using your wife's log-in information but she wouldn't have access at that time. I don't know how it will work with your son. I would guess he'll have his own sign in but perhaps someone else can help with that information. ~ Texting: We were able to text each other on the ship and to friends and family on land. * You put your phone on airplane mode. If your phone is capable of WiFi calling then you can use it to call. 🍹
  5. It's happened to two of my suite bookings. The gratuities show up as a charge, when they shouldn't. They show up after the booking has been made. The charge isn't on my original booking confirmation but then seems to magically appear. I realize it when looking at the Cruise Planner and see a higher final payment amount. I call and explain the situation and it gets taken care of. 🍹
  6. This was my first E-class so I wasn't sure if they were the normal brownies, but apparently not (on the other E-class). Next time I'm on the Beyond I'll have to investigate to see what they look like. πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  7. The Beyond has been sailing since the spring so I know many things have been photographed and answered but if there is something you'd like to know more about based on what I've already posted, let me know and I'll acknowledge that first. I have a lot to catch up on and I wanted to move forward in chronological order but I'd be happy to post about anything and everything if requested. πŸ˜‰ I have so many pictures and so much to write that it's a bit overwhelming. πŸ˜‰ I just take too many pictures and have too many thoughts. πŸ˜‚ I need to streamline and edit. πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  8. I was on the Beyond for the October 26th sailing. I reported in my 'Live' there was a lot of creaking in the cabin. The creaking got louder as the cruise progressed. There was also creaking down on Deck 4 and 5 by the forward elevators. It didn't keep me up but it was the first time I ever experienced that in all of my cruises. The Beyond was the newest ship I sailed so I didn't know if it was 'settling' in. We were on Deck 9, basically forward and the creaking in my cabin and my mom and dad's next door, got louder and louder. It was almost comical. It was like we were on an old wooden boat but no, we were on a very new metal ship. πŸ˜… We didn't hear banging, just loud creaking. 🍹
  9. I am so behind on posting about this cruise. I did take a turn to a not so good dessert so to counter that...here is the S'mores Jar (Mason Jar S'mores) from Roofttop Garden Grill. Very good. We dined there twice and I ordered it both times. I would (will) go back for it. 🍹
  10. Here are two more pics of the Eden 'brownies' as served on the Beyond. I resisted to post the one since they look really unappealing but in reality, they were. 😝 Confirmation from @kwokpot and @NutsAboutGolf that these are not the normal Eden brownies. I wonder if they are the Beyond version or if they are now like the other E-class Eden brownies. I post these for research purposes. Please Note: They were even worse than how they aappear. πŸ˜‚ 🍹
  11. Thank You! The brownies you show look more like brownies that I'm used to. The cookies have a different looking texture as well. They look smoother in your picture. This was the first I ever had them, since the Beyond was my first E-class ship. I will now try the brownies the next time as well along with the cookies. πŸ˜‰ 🍹
  12. You should change your name to NutsAboutEdenCookies πŸ˜‰ πŸͺ I will definitely try them again though. Perhaps the brownies had an off day as well. They were much softer than fudge. I have to think they were 'off'. I can't imagine people liking that. There were 4 of us. I tried them, everyone else was like, "No Way!" when they saw my face when I tried it. πŸ˜‚ 🍹
  13. That's funny because I've always had the softer ones at Cafe Bacio. I do owe you my thoughts about the cookie from Eden CafΓ©. You had recommended it. I did have it. I wasn't overly crazy about it. I think because of the nuts. I prefer my chocolate chip cookies nut free. It was soft and chewy and that's how I like them. I feel it was missing something. I know it gets rave reviews. Maybe it was an off day. I will try again the next time I'm on the Beyond. I never did get back there again for lunch during this cruise so I only had that one. The brownies get rave reviews as well. It was way too soft for me. I'd say gooey but that's not an accurate description. I like chewy brownies but it was an odd texture. Almost like it was a soaked cake that was underbaked and then flash frozen but thawed to try and harden it a bit. πŸ˜… 🍹 Eden Cafe at lunchtime
  14. They need quality control. πŸ˜‰ πŸͺ Just like their ice cream at restaurants. Some of it is good. Some of it tastes like that ice milk stuff = not good. 🍨 🍹
  15. Cafe Bacio desserts and the cookies... There were reports that the cookies were gone. The cookies were still there. They weren't in the jars on top, as seen here (on the bottom in the case). I will say the chocolate chip cookies on most days (if available as a choice) weren't as good as usual. Some days they were soft and good. Other days they looked and tasted like those store bought cookie logs that get cut and baked... not good and hard as a rock. As usual, the selections would change daily with some repeating. Some items were really good. I will post pics as this thread progresses. πŸ˜‰ As always, the desserts are free of charge. 🍹 This was the display on embarkation day:
  16. Con't... I know you inquired about Tuscan but one exception for the 1/2 portion option and additional courses I would say is Le Petit Chef just because of the way it's set up but they do let you mix and match items from the main menu and alternate menu. I didn't ask about 1/2 portions there so who knows, maybe they would but that's a 4-course meal that is on a schedule so you wouldn't be getting additional items between the courses. πŸ˜‰ Tuscan Grille was the first Specialty Restaurant I asked about 1/2 portions for some things and since then, I always think of that as an option...even for non-speciality dining. 🍹
  17. Yes, you can order multiple items within the courses. That's always been my experience. You can also ask for half portions of items. Some things can't be served that way but many can be. You can also ask for some things to be split between people. One exception was Eden. Half portions would have messed up presentation on some things so they encouraged full orders. They did however split the risotto so some things they are able to do. It's a good way to try more things you're interested in. There are usually many things I want to try at Specialty Restaurants so sometimes getting half orders let's me try more. πŸ˜‰ I have found in all of Celebrity's Specialty Restaurants I've dined in across different ships, they have always been very accommodating and almost want you to try a lot. 🍹
  18. In the USA and just received the e-mail. 🍹
  19. I love cruising for many reasons. I wouldn't say I cruise for the food, meaning I don't say I need great food so therefore I have to go on a cruise to get it. I get wonderful food at restaurants on land and at home. Food plays a major factor though when choosing a line. If I loved everything else but didn't like the food, I would not choose Celebrity. Now, if I loved only the food and not much else, I wouldn't sail Celebrity in that scenario either. Sure there have been things that I've had that Celebrity didn't do a good job on. Thankfully the percentage is low. If things change for not the better then I would have to re-evaluate Celebrity. For me, food has always been a huge part of my life. Parties, dinners, get togethers or just sitting around the table with family and/or friends, etc...all have food. When I plan something, food choices/taste and presentation are very important. So, it only makes sense when going on vacation I enjoy the same things. When in port, just like on other vacations, we eat at local places. You learn a lot from an area, the people and culture from food and drinks. So, yes. Food is important. πŸ˜‰ It’s not why I cruise, but one of the things I enjoy about cruising. 🍹
  20. Hi! You'll get more of an accurate idea if you look when the ship is sailing an 8-night itinerary. If the ports and sea days match your itinerary then even better, for being more accurate. The exact ports don't have to match but the days. However, it may change for your cruise. There is a usual pattern for first night, last night and chic night menus. To see what the current cruise has, simply choose that ship and sail date in your Celebrity App. When looking at your cruise in the app or any future cruise, the menus/days may not align. For example, you have an 8-night cruise but there could currently be a 9-night cruise, so your cruise will show an extra night of menus. Look to see when the next 8-night is and if the port/sea days match yours and that should be a more accurate idea of what you'll have...but be sure to look anytime during the time of that sailing, not beforehand. I am a big planner and like to choose specialty dining for nights we're not fond of the dining menus so I basically 'stalk' πŸ˜† the menus. I also don't want to miss something we like so I plan for that as well. What did we do when we just showed up without knowing? πŸ˜… I for one like to have a plan so I enjoy the 'research'. Hope this helps. 🍹
  21. This was the Luminae breakfast menu on the Beyond in October/November '22. It seemed the Beyond Luminae menu was slightly different from other ships. The dinner menu had slight changes for sure. I remember reading months ago that Celebrity wanted some different dining options across ships...certain ships had certain dishes. 🍹
  22. Hi! This will get some way overdue updates, soon, but now that 3 months have passed since I sailed, I have had time to think about how I feel about the Beyond...you know that 'just got back from a cruise' feeling has faded...even though I feel like it was yesterday that I boarded...so I can give an honest answer as to how I feel about the Beyond. Do I absolutely love the Beyond so much that I wouldn't change a thing. No. Do I love it enough that I'd sail again, Yes! So much so that I booked another sailing on the Beyond. πŸŽ‰ I do love S-class. When it came time to choose a cruise, I narrowed it down to the Beyond and a ship that has had upgrades/updates along with itinerary. That short list quickly became the Beyond as a front runner every time. I will be 100% honest and say The Retreat aspects are what weighed heavily in favor as well. Everybody has their likes, dislikes, preferences etc... I feel my 9-night cruise on the Beyond just wasn't enough. Yes, even with the things I would change on the ship, the Beyond seems to have this spell over me. πŸ˜‰ I will post more pictures and reviews and thoughts soon. I feel there can never be too much information out there for resources. I love reading what others say, so if I can provide helpful insight as well to anyone, that's why I will finish this 'Live' review and make sure it's before the 1 year anniversary. πŸ˜‚ Kelly πŸ˜ƒ 🍹
