  1. Hehe. That's great. Of all the places. We sat on the 2nd floor where the bar is. The view from the window was perfect... the water and the colorful buildings. We enjoyed our lunch and cocktails. I would go back. We walked around after we ate and saw the courtyard area on the 2nd level. ๐Ÿน
  2. Paul, Hi! Yes, we are well. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ How are you and Tim? An enjoyable, busy summer. Hot but it is summer. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Today is cooler, it will be in the 80's and no humidity so it is very nice out. Haha...don't be sorry to dredge this up. I'm sorry I never finished it...even though I kept coming back to say I would. ๐Ÿ˜† Maybe I will continue to add to it now. It will be the 'Live' review that keeps on giving. If you have any questions or would like pictures of anything you don't see, let me know. I have an arsenal of pictures and knowledge. ๐Ÿ˜‰ This cruise was back to the A and C of the ABC's. I don't think I fully put in detail what we did (different than our 2021 ABC cruise). We'll be back on the Beyond in April 2024 for the 10-night Ultimate Southern Caribbean cruise. Our cruise was going to be the last one before it went over to Europe but it's staying here now (which is why you get to go to the ABC's on her). ๐Ÿ˜ƒ If you want to e-mail me about anything, here's my cruise critic e-mail address and I can send you my everyday one: pinksandgirlcelebrity@gmail.com Great to hear from you. 3. Even more interesting...not the original orangey red, not the new white...but gray. Light, medium or dark? ๐Ÿ˜† I've sailed on other S-class with the original color scheme (pre-revolution). '21 was the first time I sailed on the Equinox so it was nice to have a refreshed cabin. ๐Ÿน
  4. Interesting. That's frustrating there isn't consistency. I know everyone doesn't research and/or care but some do. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I thought they did all of them in AquaClass and Concierge. Apparently not. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for posting, this way I don't give that tidbit of information out again. ๐Ÿน
  5. The Aqua and Concierge cabins also had the sofas reupholstered to be white. I was in an AquaClass cabin in October '21. If you choose an Aqua or Concierge and want to see pictures, I can post. You are doing research so you already know what they look like, but in case you want pictures, I took many. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿน
  6. AquaClass and Concierge Class cabins received the new gray carpet during the limited revolution. The cabin #'s you have listed are verandas so initially, they weren't changed. I don't know if they have changed the carpet in any other cabins since 2019. ๐Ÿน
  7. Look for the indentation. Where the room appears to jut out, that's where the bed is. ๐Ÿน For example: 9191 has the bed by the bath. 9195 it's by the infinite verandah. 9197 by the bathroom, 9199 by the infinite verandah.
  8. Here is one on the Beyond. If you are booking cabins in line with family and/or friends and want the balcony divider opened up, then you don't want cabins on either side. You'll see in the pictures below what I mean. The solid wall from floor to ceiling is the wall where that space is on the deck plan. (I was in a different location). The other picture shows the balcony divider opened and if you look you see the divider closed to the next balcony and there is open space above and below. We had cabins side by side and had the divider opened (always do). Thankfully I knew beforehand about those 'spaces' in the deckplan. ๐Ÿ˜‰ EDIT: I just realized the cabins you show may be infinite verandas so this won't pertain to them. I apologize for that. ๐Ÿน Solid wall where the space is shown on the deckplan. Not solid with balcony divider opened up
  9. As for cabins, the Equinox Concierge and AquaClass have new carpet and reupholstered couches. All cabins (Aqua and below) received new curtains and bedding. Silhouette had all cabins revolutionized. The bathrooms weren't re-done on the Equinox and I don't think on the Silhouette either. * I will note though that I've seen a picture of a non-revolutionized M-class ship cabin and it had the new gray / white square outline carpet like the Equinox...so who knows what they do from time to time on the ships with updates. The Lawn area. Equinox has glass blowing there (watch and/or take a class $). The Silhouette has the Lawn Club Grill in that spot ($ specialty restaurant). The Silhouette had part of the grass removed back along the Sunset Bar area. The Silhouette also has Porch as an additional Specialty Restaurant. The Retreat: The Silhouette received more in the outdoor area. Craft Social. Both ships had their wine bar area converted to Craft Social. Such a cute spot. As for cabin location, I prefer higher decks forward with no obstructions in or around the balcony, below or above. The cabin category you choose will dictate certain areas of the ship. Also, take a look at the S-class spreadsheet and you can search by cabin # (not all are there but a good amount) and see what the notes are. You may find helpful information like if there is a crew access door near where you are looking or anything else that may cause noise. They are basically identical except for the things mentioned above. The Grand Foyer and the steps are a little different and artwork throughout the ship. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Shows may change from now until then but you can look on the app under both ships and see what the shows currently are. The named production shows are likely the same on both ships. The other entertainment will vary from ship to ship and even cruise to cruise based on guest entertainers / acts. I enjoyed both ships. Silhouette pre-revolution in '16 in Concierge and the Equinox in AquaClass during '21. ๐Ÿน
  10. Hi! I was on the Beyond but I believe the Ascent will have the same specialty restaurants. I was on a 9-night sailing and we ate in Specialty Restaurants 3 nights and a Main Dining Room one time. We loved Eden (have it booked for my next cruise) and really enjoyed the Rooftop Grill (went twice and booked as well for next cruise). We wanted to go to Blu (we loved it on an S-class ship) but the night we thought we would try it, we weren't fond of the menu, so that's the night we tried a Main Dining Room, Tuscan. The service was actually great. Food, eh. Everyone has different preferences with food so I would say to take a look at the menus and if you like any of the concepts/food then definitely try at least one specialty restaurant. ๐Ÿ˜€ Honestly, Luminae wasn't all that spectacular (some food & some service). It was wonderful to be able to have lunch there on embarkation day and sea days (if you choose). Breakfast is available daily. The service and food, in my opinion during my cruise, was not over the top, as some people say. There were highlights for sure though. I won't turn this into a Luminae review. ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you take a look at the app, you'll see what the Luminae menu will be and can plan specialty or other venues around that, if you choose. If Ascent isn't there yet, take a look at Beyond. Beyond Luminae does have some different choices compared to Luminae on the other ships. I don't know if Ascent will have some different choices as well. You can definitely get a good idea of the menus though. You can get the 'Classic' apps, entrees and desserts too. Other Specialty Notes: Raw on 5 is open for lunch and dinner. We didn't get there. Enjoyed Sushi on 5 on Equinox but ran out of days on the Beyond. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I don't eat seafood but can manage to get some things. Le Petit Chef. Enjoyed it on another ship. Didn't like the menu on Beyond and wanted to try new places. Le Grande Bistro menu during the day. Fine Cut. Many not so great reviews honestly deterred me. I said I'd go if everyone else wanted to. We decided not to. I have read some good reviews since then. So...??? Le Voyage. I just wasn't into all of the hype. People do love it though. You'll likely get all kinds of opinions for who likes this, who doesnโ€™t like that. ๐Ÿ˜† I would say look at the menus (for included Restaurants and Specialty) and go from there. ๐Ÿน
  11. I haven't lately but last year I was missing a few for Power Up Point activities. I called the Captainโ€™s Club # the few times it happened. Sometimes they would be credited quickly, other times I had to make a few follow up calls but eventually credited all of what I was supposed to get. If you are missing points, I would definitely call. ๐Ÿน
  12. Hi! I was in 9170 and my mom and dad in 9168 on the Beyond. The same cabin position on Deck 10 as my 9170 is 10146, so next to the first cabin you have listed. I was worried because we were on an 'indent'. I always book cabins on the furtherst part that sticks out so I was a bit worried. It was better than I expected. You could definitely see to the left (forward). As for to the right (aft), the Magic Carpet orange track does get in the way if you want to see the aft/any part of the ship past that point. Obviously the closer you get to the Magic Carpet, the more 'obstructed' your view will be. I definitely could not see the aft of the ship due to the indented position and the Magic Carpet. I don't know if it would be better if further forward? Was it better than I imagined? Yes. However, I prefer my more forward cabins on the 'flat' furtherst part out and a clear view to the water. I'm booked again on the Beyond but chose Port Side for a few reasons. Here are some pictures from the balcony that should give you an idea. You'll see looking straight out to the horizon, it's perfect and even when looking out to either side you can see. If you want to see the actual starboard side towards the aft, you won't be able to...unless you have a go, go gadget neck. ๐Ÿ˜… Some of the pictures are zoomed in so it appears you can almost touch the Magic carpet, but you can't, we were further away than what some of these pictures make it seem. Hope this helps! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿน I have our cabins circled: It's lit at night. I liked it lit. It didn't distract and when curtains are closed, the light is not a problem. Here is one side of the track with some of the cabins 'within' it: I think being behind it, you could see towards the aft but not the bridge.
  13. I may be an outlier here but I did not mind the Edge Series Webinar. I like the congenitality between everyone. I didn't mind watching and hey, as a bonus I'll gladly take the points and add them to my total. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿน
  14. I've sailed all 3 of the ships you have listed but not on the 10-night ultimate Southern Caribbean itinerary. As for the itinerary, I'll be on the Beyond in '24 for it. When deciding which cruise to pick, I narrowed it down but ultimately chose the Beyond again. We decided we needed to sail the Beyond again because we felt there were aspects we didn't experience/experience enough of even though we were on for 9 nights. I loved my cruises on the Silhouette, Equinox and Beyond. The Beyond was my first E-class. Do I love everything 100%, no, but loved it enough to try it again. We were in Sky Suites and loved the Retreat aspect and I had that in mind when deciding which ship to pick for the '24 cruise. As for the shows. The theatre on the Beyond with the screens really is nice. I wasn't so sure I would like it, but I did. I would say live music and DJ's are pretty similar across the ships. Onboard activities as well. I sailed the Silhouette pre 2020 and the Equinox and Beyond post 2020 so I think activities have changed slightly in general from pre and post 2020. Beyond Creaking. I can attest to experiencing the creaks. Did it keep me awake? No. Was it bothersome? No. Was it a tad concerning at times? Yes, but only because I never experienced that on a ship. Did it have to 'settle' or get 'broken in'? I don't know. The creaks didn't stop me from booking. It became comical hearing those creaks. ๐Ÿน
  15. This was in October on the Beyond in a Sky Suite. Two lip balms were in the bathroom. Did not ask for them. Did not use...but yes, they were there. ๐Ÿน
  16. I agree with others...take part in the cooking. I made a pizza and my boyfriend went up to help cook the steak and shrimp he ordered. Yes, we already know how to make and cook those things but why not? Something different to do while at sea and fun. ๐Ÿ˜‰ My mom and dad and other family traveling with us, all of our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs! We wanted to try too many things. ๐Ÿ˜… If lunch is offered during your sailing, definitely go for the burger. ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿน
  17. I would suggest booking beforehand, especially for a table of 8, if you have a preferred restaurant, day and time. If you're more flexible then you'll likely (obviously I can't guarantee that) get a reservation onboard. If you book onboard then that should be one of the first things you do once you board. If you book beforehand, as mentioned above, you will have to link your reservations (if not already) which is easy to do. You have to pay at the time of booking and can only use your Onboard Credit or one credit card. You can also use Onboard Credit and a credit card but all in one transaction. This gets done in your Cruise Planner. Calling in won't get around it, you'll still need everyone's booking information and only one transaction for the group. Years ago you could book multiple people and everyone paid the night you dined, that isn't the case now. ๐Ÿน
  18. Yes! It is enjoyable to have a sit down lunch on embarkation day. I would suggest boarding as early as you can, go to your cabin to get your SeaPass, fall in love with your cabin and then go to Luminae. We did that (with a detour to our Muster Station before Luminae but crew members weren't there yet even though they were supposed to be so we went back after lunch). We arrived to Luminae and sat right away before it got crowded. Then you can go explore the ship, explore your cabin...etc...whatever makes you happy. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿน
  19. Sounds about right. I think I would do 1 oz coconut water but that can be adjusted to taste. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅฅ ๐Ÿน
  20. No liquid Hand Soap. I always bring my own hand soap to hotels and on cruises. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿน
  21. Paul, Hi! Thanks for the update. My account hasn't caught up to 2023. My history states I have no cruises. ๐Ÿ˜† Well, that's not accurate. Thankfully my points are correct. I'll keep checking. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hi! to Tim. ~ Kelly aka CoCo ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿน
  22. Eat, Drink and be Merry! One of my favorite sayings... and a great philosophy for life. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a wonderful cruise. Enjoy! ๐Ÿน
  23. I just received the 'gift box' e-mail. It revealed 10 Power Up Points = 1 Captainโ€™s Club Point. ๐Ÿน
