Am I able to use my profile photo as my security photo or do I have to take a separate one?

You can use your SECURITY Photo as your Profile Photo. There are requirements for the Security Photo, but not for the Profile Photo. If your Profile Photo meets the Security Photo requirements, then you can use it.

  2. I'm guessing that you have to log-in as the passenger onto the device. So, up to 4 devices can be logged into the one passenger who has the package.

Let's say the package is under your Husband. If you only have one device for yourself (smart phone), then you can't use the ocean app for yourself while your are logged into the app as yourself. You would have to log in as your husband. You could use your smart phone for yourself, and log into the internet via a tablet. But then you couldn't use the tablet to do Ocean stuff as yourself.

Similarly, If you wanted to share one device, then when you wanted to use the internet, you would have to logout of Ocean as yourself, and then login to Ocean as your husband.

They appear to be exactly $.01 cent less expensive than the Princess bands purchased on board.

For a penny it seems to me the better choice would be to have one that is specifically designed for the OM device.

    Am I missing something?

For the Fitbit, it is literally like fitting a round coin into a square hole. It works, but does not have a clean look. IMHO, for a few dollars more per band, I'll go for the cleaner look for a wristband that can be used again on future cruises (until they change the shape to a square).

  4. How much coververage did you buy? Did Princess automatically charge you for the full price of the cruise (vs the price after the credit). If princess set and charged you for the full price, then there is an argument that they owe you what THEY sold you. Otherwise they will be looking at a class action suit for overcharging for travel insurance. If they were not going to cover the credit, then they shouldn't have charged you for it.

Just saw our assignment on a guarantee and we are 37 days out from our sail date. I saw it when I signed into my personalizer. No email received yet.

Ditto. I hear the assignment can be changed by princess. I won't consider it final until 3 days out.

What happens to the passengers who are currently on a ship and the judge halts docking at a US port?

    1) The order will probably let the ships dock at their final destination (FLL, MIA, etc.), to discharge passengers only; or

    2) Has a future start date (say 1 month out) to give them time to seek an injunction, and to plan accordingly (don't start any cruises you can't finish).

But something occurred to me: Since we both are registered with the one login for Ocean Ready, what happens with Ocean Compass and Ocean Now? If we have the same login, how do we find each other (Ocean Compass)? How will a server know who ordered what for where (Ocean Now)?

Like CJS said, you should create your own Ocean Account. Onboard the account will be associated with the first person. You are not both "registered" with one login. With the one login, you completed the check-in process for both person. It is only "registered" to the first person.

What if the cell phone is turned off?

The cell phone only delivers information (location), or allows you to order. It is the Medallion that transmits its number, so works regardless of your cell phone. The ship uses the antennas to figure out the Medallion's approximate location. The ship can also look up which passenger is associated with the medallion, and then look up that person's information. Some of that information you can access with your cell phone (if it is turned on and logged in).

Yes, they can change it. You can also request a change to any available cabin in the same category you were assigned.

    Thanks.

Can they downgrade you without your permission? I booked BF (guaranteed forward, high deck), and was assigned BC (mid-forward, high deck). Can they move me to BD or BE (forward high deck)? Or, once they assigned us to BC, we can only get better from there?

Hi! We are Ocean Ready for our cruise June 15th. It took awhile for it to recognize us in the system, but at around 30 days out we got an email notifying us it was time to get Ocean Ready. Here is where my confusion lies- We are a group of 8 in 2 staterooms. It seems that to get on the Ocean ready app, the account is associated with the main email address/person for each room. We all have the apps on our phones, etc. When I tried making my own account on the ocean ready app, it automatically reverted to my husband’s. How does it work to get our party all connected so we can find each other on the ship, since my app on my phone still thinks I’m my husband? Is this one of those things that will be ironed out once we are on the ship’s WiFi? We are excited to use the Medallion to find each other and message, etc.

You may need your own email address to create your own ocean account.

When you are on board, you can get the other people's codes to add them to your party so you can use the app to find them.

We are on her now.  Tonight (Sunday) and Wednesday night are formal.

How is the Coffee from the Buffet (Deck 15)? Coffee & Cones (Deck 15)? International Cafe (Deck 5)?

We will be on Deck 14, and my wife loves her morning coffee. Easy trip to get it from the Buffet.

If the coffee is that much better, I would get the coffee package. Is Coffee & Cones open in the early morning? Otherwise, I would have to go down to IC on Deck 5. Not a big deal since on my first cruise, I was going from Deck 6 all the way up to Deck 15 for the morning coffee run.

Are you referring to the PIN we had to put in as the unique code? They gave you the option of using the same pin for your whole group and if you need that PIN to find someone, I, for one, will need to go back in and change that.

Pin is different. Think of your unique code is like your cruise reservation number, plus a digit to identify which passenger in the cabin you are.

  13. App or online, I can't complete the check in. I entered my passport info and picture. It now wants travel documents (visas?) but it doesn't provide any links to enter the info, and when I click on the travel docs button, I get an error that no travel docs are found. I am a USA resident traveling the Caribbean. I'll be calling Princess.

Besides lunch on embarkation, we have not touched  the MDR to eat. Lunch was amazing but I’m not hearing good reports on dinners.

Sigh. Buffets too? I thought the food was pretty much the same in the MDR as the Buffets.

What bad reports are you hearing?

    Thanks for the 411.

So the AC is out in the 200-300 range on various decks. From deck 5 through deck 11 that I know of.

One woman has not had AC since we boarded.

I'm in Gty Bal, Forward, Upper Decks 14-15. Hopefully I don't get "upgraded" to Middle Decks 10-12, they have it fixed in the next 1.5 months before my cruise, or it is cool enough at night with the door open.

There are still a lot of unallocated cabins on board. I hope they are smart enough to keep the problem rooms unassigned.

If I was in a Balcony cabin, I would take the complimentary cruise voucher for the inconvenience, and open the door.

We have a gty for a Premium Ocean View cabin for a cruise in October. I made the booking back in July of 2018. There are only 10 cabins of this type on the ship. When I booked, there was actually one still showing as available but I was able to book a gty anyway. Why you ask... I knew I'd get one of the 10 cabins or else an upgrade to a balcony.

Princess could upsell any of the 10 cabins, and put you in it.
