  1. after reading thru the thread i booked 16002. TA also said 04 was available but no website i saw said so, so i guess TAs do really have access to extra private inventory.

my TA said could change within the category with no issues and having a 'back door' to the lounge sounds like a plus. kinda like in my edge villa i have coming up there's a secret door to that lounge as well.

  2. i found this post "I found the 16002/16004 location near the Top Sail lounge a benefit because the staff had no issues with us using the side door to come and go from the lounge."

so does that mean this is NOT the main way to the lounge and that most people wont use it? i thought it was the main way to the lounge with tons of traffic

  3. oh i never thought of that inward balcony. i saw it on another vid of another balcony cabin so know how much that bends in. im ok with that if it's the same

are you sure it's under the DR? looks like under 18002. but even if seats are above it,  i wonder if they move them out and clean every nite

  4.

so then that room on 16 truly is the only one left?  im further confused by deck 15. i even went to edge browser which i never use. to ensure it's not a browser error. so the white are booked and grey is taken? the key doesnt delineate that which is why i was confused.

but if the only one on 16 left is near the lounge i still question if it's so good why didnt anyone take it yet lol

  5. for my bermuda cruise only decks 14 to 18 are available, none of the larger suites are available. but i noticed 16 is almost sold out.  i assume because of the lounge? but the only one left is next to the lounge so i assume thats noisy or something?

deck 18 is under the YC outside deck so im sure thats a big no no

15 forward facing is open but i see it's under the lounge so a bad idea probably?

  6. what is the alternate port for missing the island? i was looking at cruises in may and thankfully remembered about the closing. i also think it's very shady to keep booking with the island closed for dates they have publicly announced, i hate the itinerary out of NYC but would be 1st time on MSC and the only stop i was looking forward to was the private island.  i typically stay on ships in FL and maybe spend 1 hour or so in nassau

So today I ran into the door police, some lady from Germany has decided to monitor the door on deck #15. I gather that I should wait until the door closes before moving on. At first I thought this was one and done but several hours later she was still there monitoring the door.

One of the Achilles heel of the Prima and Getaway was the outdoor courtyard and pool area in the Haven well it's here too. Someone mentioned about a solarium for YC on deck #19, will have to get back there.

@Red-Sol We did the match, Sapphire = Gold

do you mean an employee will scold you if you dont stand there and wait for the door to latch closed? is this common among YC experiences?

  8. whats the theory that its best to kill the elevators during muster. certainly not to make muster easier. is it just to give us practice going down a dozen flights of steps. cant imagine the YC crowd up top is a fan of this

  10. i wouldnt say CLS echos but theres no way theres any private convos in the entire cabin. at least not at normal speaking voice. if one of you has the TV on im sure you would hear it from the other floor in the cabin. though i never tried 2 tvs at the same time in fairness. but even with 2 people i love the 2 bathrooms so those are a must for 4 adults!

but i do think the 2 BR grand would be the ultimate best but probably too much money.

  11. recent quote i saw on the web

"when's the last time a stranger on the internet changed your mind about something?"

also recently i was at old ebbitt grill next to the whitehouse (you cant get out there with less than a 3 digit bill) and it was fine dining for sure. (the waiter had a very long dissertation on where and how the corn was sourced for example.)

i was seated by the front door and 94.5 percent of people had shorts on. it's a tourist spot just like the MDR is on a ship.

On all of the new bigger NCL ships, shorts are allowed in all restaurants for all meals except the French and Seafood specialty restaurants where gents are asked to wear long pants (dockers or jeans are fine). So, on NCL, shorts are allowed and encouraged (Freestyle) in all Main Dining Rooms on newer ships.

1st night i wore shorts in the french place no problem. yup i intentionally booked it 1st night because i knew shorts were allowed. i never wear jeans or other long pants on cruises. am not bringing one pair for a meal when they come off immediately after. but i'm not a woman that changes 3 times a day either.

  13. if you demand no shorts you gotta go to NCL. but takes less than 60 seconds to reach any table in MDR so you only see the ugly legs for that time. and thats if you are glaring at every person that walks by instead of paying attention to your own party and meal.

though i do like the power i have over everyone. i wear shorts and it destroys strangers entire cruise. i let my gf walk in front of me with her beautiful dress. no one complains about her legs. maybe they will miss mine.
