  1. Oh my gosh I completely forgot to update here! Yes it came last week on Wednesday (the 6th) FINALLY. That only took 14 weeks and 1 day.....lordy. But finally have it. Hope the MP gets the wheels moving for your sister and the passport is in hand asap!
  2. I'll certainly update here as soon as it arrives. Tomorrow marks 13 weeks for us and I see you mentioned an April 1st submission date so that will be 13 weeks as well soon.....
  3. Yes I'm in the Vancouver area. I applied at the Service Canada office in Langley BC on March 29th. Finally got through on the phone on June 16th. I wasn't given a lot of information, only that her passport had been processed and should be sent off to the printer in the next week. So I'm hoping it went to the printer and is now enroute by mail. UGH, I hate this so much. He told me he would pass my phone number on to our 'local office' for more up to date info which I thought was odd (I certainly didn't ask him to do that) and unsurprisingly I never received a phone call. As long as it went to print and is in the mail I don't care if the local office calls me, I just want her darn passport!
  4. Unfortunately that won't work. As a Canadian, not only do they need the actual passport in hand to get on the ship, they need the passport just to enter the country where the cruise is sailing from.
  5. You might need to camp out at your local office AND contact your local MP. Submitted my daughter (13) passport in person to Service Canada on March 29th and we are still waiting. I finally got through on the phone a week ago to be told everything had been processed and it was in line to be printed....still waiting though. It's atrocious what is going on with Passport Canada right now. But yes, you must be the squeaky wheel as much as you can. Good luck.
  6. Yes I just logged into my confirmation email and it says "link to be sent" as well.
  7. Interesting. We have that one booked (the 2hr45minute excursion) with Disney at the end of July and it's $264 a person.
  8. They just opened up a bunch of weekend slots for July so I was able to book the 4 of us on the Saturday night before our Monday cruise! $35 for the 4 of us is really the best deal I can find online!
  9. haha believe me, I don't think any of us can overthink things these days when it comes to travel. Better to cover all your bases 😉
  10. The tests everyone uses for LifeCenters must be an approved Health Canada test. There is a FAQ section on their website and if you scroll down a bit it will give examples of which tests they accept and then give you a link to check out all the tests that are approved by Health Canada. " Which tests are Health Canada approved? Some of the most common Health Canada approved rapid tests are: BTNX Rapid Response (green box) Abbott PanBio. Boson SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test Artron Rapid Antigen Test Roche Rapid Antigen Test You can search the Health Canada page to see if a specific test is approved."
  11. Unfortunately our negative test results must be uploaded to Safe Passage (the site our cruise line uses for vax proof and testing) by midnight the night before your cruise. So I need to upload my results by Sunday night.
  12. I wanted to use lifecenters for our upcoming Disney cruise in July but they don't seem to take weekend appts and I have to take the test within 2 days of the cruise (so either a Sat or Sun for a Monday cruise). Has any one used Azovo or Rapid Test and Trace?
