  1. I'm sorry for what I know must be a repeat question, but can anyone provide a list of complimentary dining options for Oasis on embarkation day specifically, as well as those that are open throughout the cruise! Thanks!

Also, will someone please provide the names of the docks Oasis class will use in St. Thomas and St. Marteen. I'm trying to find good beach options that aren't two far away from where the ship will be.

  2. My biggest tip would be to research some recipes so that you can find things that taste great but are still healthy. There are plenty of them out there! And yes, butter doesn't have to be feared by those looking to lose weight. For example, Kerigold butter is made from grass-fed cows, which means that it contains vitamins and CLA. One tablespoon has 100 calories, but it goes a really long way and adds a lot of flavor.

I def don't believe in super low calorie diets. Never below 1200 for women and 1500 for men, but everyone is different in their calorie needs. If you restrict too much, you end up losing muscle mass.

  3. Hi there, I know this post is from a while ago. But I was wondering if you ever found out? I have not been able to find any information about the Tiffany and Co. on Oasis other than it is on board the ship.

Do you know if they take gift cards? Do you know if they carry most of the regular stock or just a small selection of it? Are the prices similar to the current land prices? Do they have any ~special~ cruise themed merchandise that you can`t get on land? Does anybody know the answers to this?

    Also interested in this!

  4. My TA noted it on the reservation when she booked our cruise. About 2 months out I send an e-mail to special needs, as I am also casein free as well as GF (neither by choice). I hope they do better on the Liberty when we sail in January than they did on the Navigator. I got served gluten on the Navigator. The waiter came after he had served me something, which he assured me was GF, to see if I had eaten it. I had and of course it was not GF. He was very apologetic and said, No problem right? Well it was a huge problem for me. I barely made it back to the cabin after dinner before the vomiting started. I was down for 3 days.

Thanks for the information, and terribly sorry to hear about your bad experience on the Navigator!

  5. Hello Cruise Critic!

I'm trying to pick out a camera and having a very difficult time. I've done some preliminary research, but still can't decide. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Point and Shoot for a beginner? I would primarily be interested in taking pictures of scenery and people. I'm looking at a maximum $500 price range. Again, I'm just a beginner. Thanks!

  6. I was on Explorer of the Seas as Hurricane Wilma was hitting Florida. We left almost 3 hours early and left a lot of people behind. The first day we had nearly 100 knot winds and you couldn't go outside. Waves were similar to what I see in this video. My mother is the most sea-sick prone person on Earth (I swear she could get sea sick looking at a glass of water) and she was fine, just took Dramamine. Sure some people were sick and walking was a tad challenging - but this lady is blowing this stuff way out of proportion.

Just curious how it works with leaving early and leaving ppl behind? Are they warned to leave 3 hours earlier the night before? Just didn't know this ever happened!

  7. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn, just a few miles from airport. I think it was $150, not a super nice place tho. They had a shuttle come pick us up at the airport, but it can take a while for them to get you at that time. I can see my husband wanting to tough it out in the airport, but it's probably better to find a place where you can get some sleep.

  8. I don't think Luggage Valet is available at Seattle.

However, in case something has changed and Luggage Valet is available, you will not be accepted into the program unless your flight meets the departure time limits. If they accept you, it's their responsibility to get you your luggage.

Is this something through the ship or through the airline? We got off the Aug 12, sailing, and Delta had just set up their valet service. We dropped off our bags with them, no charge cause we get free bags with the Delta card, and they made it on our flight at 10 pm that night. They said they hadn't had this available for long, but it saved us having to lug our stuff around Seattle all day.
