Wow, this is a terrible situation! I have nothing to add that others haven't already said, but I hope you let us know how it turns out!

Why are they cutting down the room cleaning to once a day? Has the number of crew on board recently been reduced?

Had no idea we could ask for more than one!

I'm doing OK! not as good as I'd like though, I'm tracking my food fine, doing exercises, trying to slowly build up enough so I can go longer than 5 minutes. I do need to start cutting back on the salt and sugar, I've started eating yoghurt and more fruit, I've only just stopped feeling famished before dinner. It takes alot out of me not to eat the wrong food as I love food so much, I actually get upset when I can't eat, say, something like ice cream at night because I have eaten my points for the day or a chocolate bar. Since last Saturday I've gone from being 107 to being 105.3 kg!!:)
I've been blending frozen bananas with coco powder as a substitute for ice cream. You can also find chocolate covered banana or strawberry slices at Walmart in the frozen section for 100 cals a serving. I believe Costco is demonstrating a fairly inexpensive blender kind of machine that turns any frozen fruit into a sort of soft serve concoction. These may help you eat more fruit and cut your cravings!

Thanks for the info!

I don't feel the need to be loyal to a line at all. My husband, however, has never been on a cruise but is saying that our upcoming Oasis cruise will mean we will be loyal to Royal from now on! He's always loyal to the brands he likes, but I've tried to convince him he will miss out on ships and itineraries by avoiding other lines.

Congratulations on upcoming ten years cancer-free!

I wasn't aware there wasn't much of a Florida resident discount anymore. I grew up there as well, and I agree about how crazy the prices are now! It's really too bad.

The last time I tried one they had completely ruined the sandwich by having some kind of nasty gravy instead of the au jus that they usually serve with it. It was awful.
Sometimes you will get an "end" piece that can be fatty or grissly...yuk...I just throw that one in the trash and go back later. But with the new gravy-thing they aren't even worth having.
Is the new gravy thing a permanent change?

On some cruises, I've planned every detail and excursion. This can be a little stressful, especially getting everyone in the group to agree to something. On others, I've just gone with the flow. Zero stress, and always felt like I was enjoying everything. While I know it's possible to do it the no-stress way and have a great trip, the OCD in me still wants to plan every minute.

Rosy, if you read the OP's post, no info was given on what type of jewelry was found. Someone claiming to have lost the article would have to conclusively ID what they said they lost.
That's true. Sorry guys, didn't think my post through!
-
Unfortunately, couldn't anyone on CC or Facebook respond to the OP and claim that the item is theirs? OP said it was in a safe, most people only put valuable items in safes. How can the OP verify that the person claiming the item was even on that ship? I doubt Carnival will verify the info.

Wow, so glad no one got hurt with this!

You said 14 days later? I'm not a squealer but if it had continued that long, I would have spoken to someone about it.
Same. I feel bad for the guy, but I would have said something.
-
Sorry OP, I would have been extremely upset by that as well. Canceling the island is annoying enough, so I think they should have offered something to make up for it. Another port, money back, something. I know they technically don't have to according to their contract, but it would be good customer service to do so.

Interesting article! That guy is living my dream

Agree 109%.
What monies were refunded should go back to the original cc, she can pass the voucher on to her parents who do like to cruise. It is a win win. The parents actually end up with more money than they were entitled to and they get an extra cruise and their daughter doesn't have to go on a cruise she didn't want.
I totally agree. She's not a "cruise person," she never wanted to go. The parents are "cruise people," and cruise people always love a free cruise.
I don't think spending however long fighting Royal Caribbean for money that never came out of your pocket is good for the baby either. I would imagine that adds stress to your life and takes up time better spent getting ready for the new baby.

Also cruising Jan of 17, which is a hard time to be in shape after all the holidays. But doable! Good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the review! We booked the Oasis for an anniversary as well, and it will be my husband's first cruise. I've been hoping it impresses him, cause I want to book many more! Sounds like it will:)

Do those prices include the 18% gratuity?
