  1. We’re back from our ostriches and lighthouse tour which also included a stop in between to see the two natural bridges, with the larger one collapsing back in 2004 (?). So as in the past I get carried away when taking pictures of wildlife. 😁 Being a beekeeper I’m always on the hunt for honey bees when we’re on a cruise. My DW actually found these enjoying a sip of water on a hot day! They also had some emus at the park Now they did have some rules posted in the ladies room my DW couldn’t help but take a picture of This is the little natural bridge This is the larger one that collapsed around 17 or so years ago and of course I had to save the best picture for last since this was our last excursion of the cruise!
  2. Haven’t heard about a champagne waterfall, but we got back late one day from an excursion and went to the high tea. It was quite tasty and my DW thinks they still offer it daily in one of the dining rooms. We’re platinum and I believe they have the Elite happy hour every day in the Club Fusion between 5-7. Unfortunately, we’re not privy as to if there is a separate private cocktail party. As far as Princess and other cruise lines doing everything they can, I think that “ship has finally sailed” with regards to enforcing mask mandates and social distancing, especially since CDC as relaxed their grip on them. But I have to say Princess was one of those that held on to the mask mandate the longest. Celebrity only required it in early February for about a week because of the Holiday omicron surge, but the lifted it about 2 weeks later. But, IMHO it’s now pretty much up to US to use our own common sense, whatever that might entail, when it comes to dealing with the various illnesses as well as C19 that one might be exposed to while on a cruise. It was nice talking with you as well and hopefully you’ll be off on your next cruise real soon! 😁
  3. We have arrived in Aruba, our last port on this cruise. Today we’re booked on a Princess excursion going to see the lighthouse, ostriches and go shopping. It also looks like it’s going to be another pretty, but warm day. 😁
  4. I know many of the “Celebrity Only” excursions we went on at a variety of Caribbean Islands in Aug, Nov, Dec and Feb, it was many times the local government that dictated if private excursions or “free roaming” was even allowed, which many islands didn’t allow until relatively recently.
  5. You’re going to have a great time. I will also mention, for what it’s worth, we have eaten dinner every night in the CC section of the Coral MDR except for one and the food has been quite tasty. But more importantly, we have not had any heartburn this entire cruise which is a big thumbs up from our perspective. 😁
  6. As I just mentioned this evening we first went to a couple of game shows, We Play You Say, and the Yes/No Game Show. and then over to the late show in the theater with comedian Gary Delena.
  7. Understand. My suggestion is that you might want to check out the late show. The early show tonight, which was comedian Gary Delana, was packed and we wound up going first to the two game shows and then to the late show. It was very comfortable with plenty of places to sit with no one around us.
  8. The ship has been quite comfortable with regards to temperature. But I will say International Cafe has had some awesome lunch offerings!!
  9. Thanks and welcome to CC! More positive vibes for no testing on transition days in the middle of our upcoming 21 day Med cruise scheduled to leave Barcelona on July 2 on the Regal. Of course, all this can change in the blink of an eye, but for right now it’s looking pretty good! 😁 The only question then remaining is will Princess administer the antigen test prior to leaving the ship or at the terminal, or will we have to do it on our own at the airport before flying home? I realize they tested you on the ship. However, there are rumbles that provision is changing. Hopefully, the US will eliminate the 24 hour testing requirement to fly back to the US if you are at least fully vaccinated and boosted! Then this would become a moot point.
  10. This afternoon we went to Kerry’s nature lecture on wildlife. As always we had a great time and learned about various wildlife we may or may not, in some cases, see on our cruise.
  11. Thanks again Mary Ann! We went and filled out the form. On page 2 there was a special note. The form has to be turned in tonight, May 10, by 9 pm!
  12. To make it super easy for you to switch once onboard, just bookmark “login.com” on each of your device’s web browser. When one of your party clicks on it, the results will look like this. You will only see “Connect This Device” displayed when some other device is using the Internet connection. If you click it, it will disconnect the other device, with no warning.
  13. If I might ask those folks who are currently on a B2B on the CB and staying on for the next leg, (as this is becoming a hot topic of interest), have you heard yet whether or not Princess will be requiring you to take a complimentary antigen test prior to continuing on to the next leg? If you haven’t, would you mind posting here when you do receive some type of notification? Thanks!
  14. Works for me. Wearing a mask in crowded spaces on a cruise has become a new normal for my DW and I. I have to admit I’ve enjoyed not coming home from our 9 previous cruises since they started cruising again with any type of illness, let alone C19! 😁
  15. Went by the Casino bar this morning on the way to the lecture and asked the question. Their answer was if it’s being aired live on the network station (NBC, CBS, etc), they can change the channel to it. But not if it’s on ESPN.
  16. We’re also focused on making elite for 2 reasons, free laundry and being able to book a cruise a day earlier than everyone else. But, at the same time as others have mentioned, how much is saving around $50-60 for a bag of laundry every 4 days on longer cruises worth to you? As far as the tenders go, that perk only works if you’re not booked on a Princess excursion, which we usually are.
  17. Today is a sea day as we cruise towards Aruba for a morning arrival tomorrow. But I have to say it was nice being gently rocked to sleep last night by the Caribbean. I wouldn’t say it was super rocky, but it was the first night on the cruise we heard our closet hangers talking to us. 😁
  18. Hopefully @Kiranwill have some luck as I’m striking out, pun intended, on my brief search. But I hope it’s not Churchill’s, unless you like smoking cigars. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/products/entertainment/churchills.html
  19. Hi all, as some of you may know we’ve been on a variety of Celebrity cruises since August which I usually posted our experiences to in “Live” Celebrity threads, whether it was on our Edge B3B in August, our Apex B2B in November, our Constellation B2B in December or our Reflection B2B in February.. Well, right now we’re on an 18 day Panama Canal cruise from SF to Ft Lauderdale on the Caribbean Princess in a Vista Suite and having a great time. So if by chance you have any questions about how the onboard experiences on the Caribbean Princess may differ from those on Celebrity, you can check out the Princess thread I’ve opened. And of course if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 😎 Happy cruising everyone!!
  20. We passed our eMed antigen tests today (yay!!) and are super excited about going on our upcoming 18 day Panama Canal cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Our next step is to start packing for our early Tuesday morning flight from Alabama to San Francisco. Our last Princess cruise was in Jan 2020 on the Island Princess for 25 days on an Easter Island cruise which also took us through the PC “old locks”. We enjoy going to evening shows, playing trivia, going on ship excursions, and relaxing on our balcony, and I will try to post pictures of many of those experiences when I can. We were lucky enough to book a suite early one, so some of our experiences will be from that perspective, especially when it comes to Club Class dining. If you would like to follow along, please do, and I’ll try to answer any questions you may have if I can. Here is the 18 day Caribbean Princess itinerary with a link to its current location at the bottom of this post. 21. We are booked on an AA roundtrip flight through EZAir to SFO and back in late April and were just waiting for Princess to pay for the flights so we can pick our seats. Then about 2 weeks ago, our AA flights disappeared from our accounts on the AA website. When we try to retrieve the flight information using our booking number, it finds the booking and displays both our names and also states the ticket is (still) pending, but no itineraries are listed. When we contacted our TA, she said Princess is having flight issues and for us to email her 30 days out if we still have an issue, so she can start bugging the Princess EZAir folks. She said if she tries to bug them any farther out, like now which is 34 days out, they won't do anything. Funny thing is the flights are still listed in our Princess online accounts. This is a new one for us. Anyone else having similar issues?
