  1. That’s good to know. All my club orange experience was on the koningsdam, 4 weeks in all. While I don’t know if everyone in the window seats were in a Neptune, the few I knew were always at the windows and always sat first. One person I know was in a Neptune said they never had to wait although I’m pretty sure that person always went later than I did. Different shops, different ways of handling things I guess. I can tell you in those 4 weeks I was never sat at a window even though they were open.
  2. Only if you book with hal directly. If you book with a ta you can’t
  3. I’m not sure to be honest. I thought you were just talking about the signature package. I want to say you are correct but I don’t know. I hope someone will clarify it for you. Never come close to 15 drinks even non alcoholic drinks.
  4. There is a lot of discussion on here about that. Hal’s strong suit is not updating their website based on reality. It’s 15 drinks period whether that be coffee, water, wine, drinks etc so choose wisely. Some folks that love 15 coffees a day 🤪 use purchased beverage cards for that and use the beverage package for drinks.
  5. Yes mostly true. I’ve heard of people on this board that said they were able to use obc 3 days before embarking for shorex by calling in. Never tried it myself so it’s hearsay.
  6. That’s interesting about Rudi’s. I’ve found club orange to be busy in the mornings. Sometimes I’ve had to wait 15 or 20 min. I tend to go for breakfast around 8 ish. I rarely go at night because I do get a fair few freebies at specialty restaurants plus I enjoy them. When I have gone it hasn’t been that busy at night. I would assume the clientele on this cruise would probably skew older so it’s not surprising about the crush of early diners.
  7. Nope. I don’t enjoy standing in line like some people seem to. My usual dinner on a ship is 6 or 6:30.
  8. It’s the Canadian version of a Bloody Mary made with Clamato. I know some are grossed out by the thought of clams. I’m not a clam fan but the Clamato is really good. I don’t find it clam-y 😛.
  9. Exactly. I get way too much “socializing” to get my job done. I get drained from being constantly around others. It shouldn’t be hard to grasp. Some people gain energy from being around others, I gain energy from being alone. Telling others they are wrong blows my mind.
  10. I love a flavoured water for sure. That’s my go to more than alcohol. I rarely drink other than vacations because I don’t care to. For my next cruise I did the $50 buy up per day for have it all. After I backed out the other “freebies”, my break even was 3 drinks per day. It will save me from buying a wine package and I’ll usually have 2 alcohol drinks with supper. I enjoy a virgin Caesar some days. Hal makes the best tasting Caesar anywhere I’ve had one so for me it’s worth it. Any more money than $50 probably not.
  11. Come to think of it I believe it was you.
  12. If you are a party all night person hal is probably going to disappoint. I love a quiet existence so I’m happy about that. I wonder if cruise critic poster @Hlitnerposted the YouTube video😛. Sounds like it came from him.
  13. Just noticed a poster up thread said it was acceptable so that makes me happy. That said I have a beverage package my next cruise so I won’t be testing that theory.
  14. Thank you! I hope that is an acceptable thing and not just a slipped through the cracks thing. I brought one plastic bottle of water on with me the last couple of cruises. No one said a word. I remember seeing a picture that someone posted on here of a crew member carrying several bottles of water back to the ship from a port so what corporate saying and real life can be different.
  15. I’m not willing to lug something that may be denied. If you get bubly it’s flavoured so not quite water is water thing. Perrier is very common in cans here. When I’ve shopped a couple places in Florida I’ve only seen bottles. I haven’t shopped everywhere in Florida before I get told I’m wrong. If someone is able to take Perrier or bubly on I’d like to hear if it was acceptable.
  16. Yes, you are very accepting of people as evidenced from your several posts. Telling people they must have you same beliefs or they are wrong. Telling people they are closed minded. Excellent. This is the perfect example of why I don’t share any tables. Life is too short to listen to that.
  17. Pardon me, yes canned water. As far as I can tell you can’t bring carbonated water as it’s like soda. I think you are better off calling hal. The thing is hal says one thing, a lot of the time the ships don’t enforce it but you have to be prepared if they do. Let us know what they say. I love bubly but I assumed that was not allowed.
  18. Why should anyone have to explain their preference? I used to share tables but no more. I’ve had way more than enough of people calling their husband out for eating more than 1/2 and English muffin 🙄. Also had people praying at the table on multiple occasions. I’ve had people asking totally inappropriate personal questions. All very uncomfortable. I’ve met a lot of people randomly just by sitting in close proximity that have been really enjoyable.
  19. Never have truer words been spoken 😛. Maybe even a nice crisp Canadian $10, even better 😂.
  20. Yes we know you just love to hate on the early birds. I get up at 4am on weekdays and generally I eat early on the weekends. I’m usually in bed by 9 pm sometimes even on the weekend. I don’t have the luxury of sleeping until noon any day. Usually sleeping in for me is 6 am. I have no desire to eat at 7:30 nor do I need to hate on those that do. I think 4:30 is way to early to eat dinner on a ship but as long as it doesn’t put me out I’m good. I’d just be afraid of missing some lovely scenery.
  21. I agree. That said in my experience they do seat people quicker from Neptune suites. They get the window seats in my experience.
  22. Exactly, so that should be more incentive to include them. Now they aren’t cheap 🙄😛, they just want to reward “their” people 😉. I’m guess their people are paid a lot less than the grats.
  23. Yeah I’m guessing you are likely right because I’ve rarely seen a low fare coming out of the gate. I’m not speaking of exotic or one off cruises. Those are different.
  24. Actually I booked mine online. I choose the tamarind because I like it better than the pinnacle. My cruise is in the fall.
