  1. Are there many in there after dinner?
  2. Many thanks. Does it stay open all day then? (My Husband is not going to be happy there are no bar stools!)
  3. Could anyone tell me how busy the Grills Lounge is before and after lunch and dinner? Oh, and are there any bar stools? Many thanks.
  4. Love it! Let's hope he's not a Man. City fan either considering they lost the FA Cup! (My Husband is a Man. Utd. fan and was having a really bad season until Saturday.... 😊) Thanks for your upbeat response - made me smile. Happy Cruising!
  5. That's very nice of you to say! I did feel such an utter chump considering I've been on dozens of cruises out of Southampton. Happy Cruising! 😊
  6. I feel vindicated now. I didn't imagine it then. I really thought I was being an idiot, but she did go further than usual. Thank goodness! 😁
  7. That's kind of you to say. I still feel a complete idiot though..... 🫀😁
  8. Apologies to everyone! I was having, as we ladies put it, one of those days! Of course it was going the right way - the trouble is, on top of having one of those days, I don't always follow it on the map, only on the webcam - no excuse I know, but I'm obviously going daft at my age (my husband thought it was hilarious by the way!). If the Host wishes to take this daft post down I wouldn't blame them!
  9. Thanks, I've been cruising for over 20 yrs so I'm used to where they usually go.😊 You'd have had to have been watching her as she left to see that she actually went right past the end of the Isle towards the Needles, which only small cruise ships can do. She then made an abrupt turn to port and turned back towards Cowes, and then carried on the route that all large cruise ships leaving Southampton go - very strange. Putting the 'past tracking' on on Vessel Finder would probably show this. It was just very odd, which is why I put a post out.😊 We'll probably never know! 😁
  10. Hi, Does anyone know why Apex went slightly the wrong way when leaving Southampton tonight? She went past Cowes, but headed towards the Needles, before turning round and coming back past Cowes. Very strange......🀨
  11. We don't tend to eat until 8:15-8:30pm. Hopefully most will have finished by then. ☺️
  12. Hi, Many thanks for this. We're travelling with my Mother-in-law, and both she and my Husband don't like sharing so we'll be asking for a table for 3, although that was something we asked for when we booked so they should know already. Hope you have a great cruise! ☺️
  13. Hi everyone, We are cruising on Apex this Summer out of Southampton to Norway. Having never cruised with Celebrity before we would very much appreciate info on the MDR'S on board. We've read some topics that say there are no early and late sittings anymore, only anytime dining, but others seem to imply that there ARE early and late sittings. We actually chose late sitting when we booked (direct with Celebrity not through a TA). So:- 1. Can anyone currently on Apex clarify what the ACTUAL situation is. 2. Do you eat in one restaurant (if you do, indeed, have a 'sitting' booked) or can you move around? Many thanks in advance. ☺️
  14. Of course, hadn't thought of that.πŸ‘
  15. I love it! Why do cruise lines still make such dreadful decisions even after decades of experience. It beggars belief.... At least the ice cream is good. 😁
  16. What a good idea. We like ambling as well and it's not always easy to see out the back of your head to avoid people approaching from behind!
  17. I agree. The prices for a QG/PG are a lot more than Britannia Club or Britannia cabins (inside or out) & include the use of an EXCLUSIVE terrace and bar/lounge area. If this is open to everyone it will lose its appeal and, I'm pretty sure, will annoy an awful lot of people.....
  18. That's weird. I would have thought that would definitely have some. Do you think they will be added, or is it a permanent thing?
  19. Many thanks. πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ
  20. Lovely photo! πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ
  21. Hi everyone, Possibly a daft question, but how many of the bars have seating actually at the bar? Thanks in advance. ☺️
  22. Agree. We've got a PG in August and much prefer the look of the cabin and the restaurant.
  23. 'Heart' - now there's a great band! πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
  24. We're on her in August, but looking forward to hearing about her beforehand. Noticed you live in Inverness. My Uncle has lived up there since the 1960's. He lives in the Blackpark area. He used to live on the other side of the hill overlooking the Firth in an old Shepherd's Cottage, but he moved last year. I adore Scotland (I'm a quarter Scottish) although I haven't been for some years. It's certainly a long drive! I've driven it myself from here in Oxfordshire, but down to Southampton is even further. Have a safe and enjoyable trip down. πŸ™‚
