  1. NCL Automated Support, give them a call at 1-866-625-1160.

(You can and should google 1-866-625-1160 before you dial just to verify it's actually an NCL number and not some kind of scam)

NCL Automated Support will need your reservation number and should be able to fix the no edocs available issue in your account.

It sometime happens if you start, stop and restart the check-in process.

  2. The pictures from the OP show a physical menu.
I'm getting on the Gem 3 days from now and have dining reservations at Le Bistro 4 days from now.
I've never had the lobster thermidor or even seen it before on board.
There maybe a few people that still don't know how to use an iPad or similar for dining and it's something new. Me, I plan on bring along a stylus to dinner now.
I found the OP's post helpful. Yours not so much...

Cruises with embarkation dates through January 31, 2022:
We strongly encourage all guests to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 96-hours prior to their sail date as an added precaution. If a PCR test is not readily available, then we encourage guests to at a minimum take a COVID-19 antigen test, prior to travel. Please note that many countries are now requiring this, and requirements vary based on guest nationality, so we strongly urge you to check the official website of the country you are flying with, connecting through, or sailing to before travelling in order to comply with their requirements.

Cruises with embarkation dates beginning February 1, 2022:
All guests will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result administered by a verified third party, via medically supervised home test (i.e. https://www.emed.com/) or BioReference-Scarlett Concierge testing service (BioReference sends a qualified medical professional to you to conduct your test), within two days prior to boarding for cruises originating in a U.S. port and three days prior for voyages departing from a non-U.S. port. Proof must be in the form of the physical test or electronic official copy. If a guest is unable to provide proof of a negative result at the time of embarkation, testing will be available at the terminal at the guest's expense for $99.00 per person. If you booked a pre-cruise Cruisetour, please view additional FAQs.

Please note for cruises with embarkation dates through January 31, 2022: If a guest receives a positive COVID test at the pier testing at arrival, they will be denied boarding and will likely be required to quarantine by local officials. Norwegian Cruise Line will assist with expenses related to any mandatory quarantine that are not covered by their travel insurance only if the guest provides proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken within 96-hours of their travel date. Guests who are unable to provide proof of a negative test taken within 96-hours of their travel date will not qualify for reimbursement should the applicable expenses not be covered by their travel insurance.

    • Proof of negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken within 96-hours of travel date must show guest name, date of birth and date the test was taken in order to be eligible.

  4. I guess it means if I see something I should say something rather then keep it to myself and then only complain about it on a CC board after the cruise is completed.

I'm not going to worry about the things I can't control.

I'm going to do my best to make sure I'm protected and do my best to protect others.

If your plans is to screw up a cruise, I'd appreciate it if you stayed off any cruise. Thanks.

Also, my bike has spent 116 days so far on NCL ships, which is also why I don't really care what port the ship ends up going to as I'll just ride around in any port as long as the weather is nice.

Additional information on bikes with NCL can also be found here:

  5. Departing for a B2B in less then 10 days.

I've gotten my 1 & 2 shot and booster in November + Flu shot in September and scheduled a PCR test for within 72 hours of my voyage. I'm fine with the indoor mask mandate. I also have (Non-NCL) travel insurance.

I've made my specialty dining reservations and used 30k in BoA points to upgrade from a O4 to a BA cabin category and got my eDocs and luggage tags printed.
I also plan on bringing my bike with me too.

I will call people out on board if I see something that isn't "kosher" with current guidelines.

Safe travels & Happy New Year

  6. I’m not sure if you have booked your b2b as 1 reservation or as 2 different reservations.

based on their 2nd question it sounds like 2 reservations.

    I booked my b2b as 1 reservation.

Even before (2020) voyage, we were required to get off the ship for customs and immigration back in to the US.

If your voyage does stop in North America then of course US customs and immigration rules will not apply.

  7. Will I be required to take a COVID-19 test in order to embark on the second leg of a back-to-back sailing?

Yes, guests will be required to take a COVID-19 antigen test and show a negative result before continuing on the second leg of a back to back sailing. The antigen test will be conducted onboard during the end of the first cruise and will be paid for by the Cruise Line.

That being said, it doesn't answer the OP's question.

I too am interested in finding out the answer of the logistics involved.

  8. Just wondering are the 3rd and 4th passengers part of the paid upgrade or are they the free at sea guest (3 & 4)?

Perhaps inquire if there is an available inside cabin available and if so find out how much it would be to move them in to it for the reminder of the voyage.

  9. If they were being that disruptive, and on facetime (or similar), on my phone I would have started my own facetime conversation and just let it run open (with lots of background changes), which should also cut their bandwidth available. You should know within 2 minutes if their connection starts to have issues.

  10. https://www.wwltv.com/amp/article/news/health/coronavirus/10-covid-cases-detected-on-cruise-ship-returning-new-orleans/289-f2f46815-24cc-48fb-af3a-fc3a92372a2d

I just shortened the link and provided a title.
10 covid cases detected on cruise ship returning to New Orleans

The cruise line said they are abiding by the quarantine and isolation protocols as more cases are identified on the ship

  11. I found that previously on NCL whenever I'm at the cage with anything more then $500 in chips, they always call over to the area that I was playing to verify before they change the chips for cash.

As such, I usually tell them where I was playing as I hand my chips over for processing.

  12. Thank you for your input.

    So to summarize:

    if < $2,000 get cash

if > then $2,000 get some in cash and > $2k in a check

if > $3,000 get the check but wait 2-3 days to cash it

if > $10,000 remember to also declare the amount to customs upon re-entry.

Logistically does it take a while for the ship to prepare the physical check or can it be done in under an hour or should you request it at least 24 hours before the last port?

This also does not include information requiring a W-2 G form when "a substantial amount of money" is won gambling. Depending on the game. It's $1,200 or more in winnings at slot machines or bingo games, but $1,500 for keno. It's $5,000 for sweepstakes, wagering pools, and lotteries

    Safe travels,

    - WYB

  13. Hello,

I understand that in the casino most people would cash out daily, but say after a week long cruise or you got really luck that one night and you've done "well" at the casino.

Rather then walk around with wads of cash, can you then bring the chips or cash to the cashier's desk and get a check for the corresponding amount?

Just wondering if anyone has had experience getting a check rather then cash.

    Stay well & safe travels.
