We are on the NCL Prima with a tender @ 8AM into Geiranger in August......was concerned about doing the 9:30AM bus tour because NCL excursions will be the first to tender (or so I was told)....so we are choosing to take the 1:00PM panorama exclusive bus tour and added an 11AM RIB boat safari with the same company... and it was less money than just the bus tour with NCL....so two excursions for the price of one!!
Thank you for posting this, I am in the same situation with a non NCL tour @ 9:30 in August and look forward to hearing the answer to this question......Since the very first Prima cruise to Geiranger tender will be near the end of May would love to hear their experiences, we might have to wait until then....
Our tour with Arctic Shorex in Isafjordur is also full for our upcoming August cruise on the Prima....you have to book early to get these excursions.....and right on the page where you go to book it says click on terms and conditions.....sorry you didn't read it.
We are going in August......maybe if you take this tour, you could post back to me😀 The tour company that we are thinking of going with is norwayexcursions.com geiranger-mount-dalsnibba-and-eagle-road
It is a private one, but we can take the ship's excursion but it was $130pp compared to $75pp for the private one.....the ship's was scheduled for afternoon but the private one, I can choose morning or afternoon.
We have a half day tour with a choice of times in Geiranger for Mt. Dalsnibba and Eagle Road in mid August. Is it more likely to be foggy in the morning? Should we choose the afternoon? Thanks for the advice.
When tendering in Geiranger....what is the process of getting tendering tickets if NOT going on a ship excursion......we will be on the NCL Prima in August. Can I get them as soon as we embark on a kiosk? or the day before Geiranger? Also can I get tender tickets for other people in our group (2 rooms)? Thanks for the information.
There is an NCL excursion called "Romantic Bruges" which includes a walking tour & canal boat ride and is less expensive than the Bruges for the Day excursion......that's the one we (5 persons) are doing while on the Prima in August.
In Akureyi, these are companies that do shore excurions to Godafoss and Lake Myvatn, sagatravel.is, fabtravel.is, and arcticshorex.com....In Isafjordur, we are doing an excursion with arcticshorex.com to Dynjandi Falls & Westfjords.
Thanks everyone for the advice....I think we will wait to buy tickets until we get there because of weather conditions....hopefully if its clear and we get there at opening, we will be able to not have to wait long.
We will be in port in Bergen in mid-August. I wanted to pre-book floyen funicular tickets in advance, but the website wouldn't take my credit card.....so I tried to get on the app and register to get tickets but it said it would send a text with a code to register, but never recieved it......what am I doing wrong? Am I trying to book too early? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
