First, I got 8 hours of sleep last night and for a cruise week, that’s excellent. Second, it’s my middle’s 10th birthday today! Third, woke up to some sad news. Toby Keith was an amazing guy. He was around OU a lot when I went there and while I worked for ESPN radio. We hung out at several bowl games including New Year’s Eve at the Orange bowl in 2003. RIP.

When we did the same tour in 2018, I paid on the beach. Soft sand. Didn’t miss a chair.

I will have them ready and waiting for yall!!

One more then I gotta go to bed. I stayed up too late last night watching the new True Detective. I didn’t think I’d like this season with Jodi Foster, but it’s really good. Always leaves me wanting more. Obviously you can see the back up chargers are getting charged up. I think at this point, I have about 8. Gotta make sure I always have power especially on a cruise. Just two more regular days to go!

Puppy update… 24 days til we pick her up. We told the kids and her name is Sadie Blue…

Same! Almost there! We drive down to DAL 3:15am Thursday!

In record timing, the kids are all packed minus one load of laundry in the washing machine. I washed, dried and folded 4 loads on Saturday in preparation for this. I try to send them with extra of everything so Meme doesn’t have to do a bunch of laundry while we are gone. It’s going to be warmer this time than last… the great arctic chill came through with below zero wind chill. This time lows in the 30’s, highs in the 40-60’s, so they won’t need as many layers… not that kids today wear anything ever. Coats are now just something to carry because mom said I have to take it. 🙄 I grabbed extra lunchables and hot Cheetos today so hopefully I’m done with the Walmarts. I’ll grab more fruit on Wednesday to last them into next week. Three kids eat a lot.

That guy?! I hear he’s only semi-retired and he’ll be on the west coast on that Sunday for work on Monday. 😆
