You're on a Celebrity ship, so you can only book Celebrity cruises. No Royal Caribbean, no Princess, no Cunard. Celebrity only.

Where did you see this? We have always booked our Royal Caribbean cruises while on Celebrity and vice versa.  Has something changed recently?

  2. They had figured out a way to offer this in Fort Lauderdale but I’m not sure that it ever took place because that was just about when the shut down began.  Passengers still would have had to vacate the rooms so they could be readied for the new people. They could hang out at the pool and go to the Buffet.  But it’s not being offered now.

my guess is that they were “ zeroed out” of the ship and then “readmitted” on day passes.

We have just booked Specialty Dinning package for the full cruise as it's our anniversary.  We have paid 20% gratuity on the package and I believe we are now expected to paid $36 per day additional gratuities, much of which goes to the dinning staff of the main restaurant that we won't use.

Can we cancel these extra tips and reward those that do actually serve us?

How would you possibly find all the people who actually serve you? So many people work the buffet, and the MDR breakfasts and lunches, I don’t see how you could possibly locate them all

I'm sure meal hours at all venues will be noted on some material one receives aboard ship, but is there a link on the X website that will show all venues' meal hours?

Since they can vary, your best way of finding restaurant hours is the daily program

On Mediterranean cruises, no matter which cruise line, VAT will be applied to all onboard purchases no matter which waters you are in. The applicable VAT will be French, Spanish or Italian and varies between 20%-22% which is determined by the embarkation port.

Not quite true unless on a closed loop cruise with all EU ports.

most, but not all Mediterranean cruises make a stop at a non-EU location, which then avoids the VAT tax.
