I wonder IF it happened. Who told you, cruising teacher? The Captain’s Club host, Guest Services, or a Retreat staff member?
-
Sometimes but they aren’t very predictable. You can cancel your existing reservation and rebook, but you have to hope that it doesn’t sell out in the interim.
-
Do they waive the room service fee for Zeniths? How about the up charge for a second lobster tail in the MDR.

@kitty9 Best wishes for your sister and glad she is doing better. Hopefully you will all have a great cruise. Instead of listening to the range of noise and responses here, if it were me I would just call Celebrity and explain the situation. You never know what happens but I would be up front about it. If the answer is NO, at least you tried. And there may still be time to get the oncologist to prescribe something else for the cruise duration. Best of luck!
I am surprised at the advice to call Celebrity and simply explain the situation. Whoever you speak with will simply open their book of stock answers and read out the guest conduct policy. See post #3.

This discussion would be improved by knowing just which medication the OP’s sister is taking

I doubt you will want to stay outside for extended periods of time, so keep in mind that when you come inside, you don’t want to get overheated.

The previous “priority embarkations” for Aqua, Concierge, Elite, and Elite Plus are all gone. Now you choose your time when you do the check-in on line.

A few years ago we left our luggage at the hotel and visited BONNETT house and gardens before our cruise. Interesting quirky house and well-kept grounds. Had lunch at a nearby restaurant, retrieved our suitcases and headed for the ship. It was a nice way to avoid the crush of passengers who were racing to get on board.

Since we don’t know you personally it’s hard to know what will make you happy. Thousands of passengers book all of the older Celebrity ships, which are kept an excellent repair and are lovely.
If you go into an experience, expecting not to be happy, the odds are that you won’t be. Expect to enjoy it and you probably will.

I was responding to the poster who thought he recalled an included MDR lunch for all passengers. Concierge class yes, but not for all passengers.
-
No, there never was an included MDR lunch on boarding day on Celebrity. Perhaps you were thinking of a different cruise line

When is your cruise?
Never mind, I just saw that it is not working for any cruise.

No matter what dates and what itinerary I put in I am told that there are no flights available. Wondering if this is just a temporary IT glitch or if FLIGHTS BY Celebrity is out of business.? Any ideas?

I'd hope that medical needs would supersede suite passenger wants.
As I read it, they were requesting for medical needs, but were going through the concierge rather than the special-needs department.

- I have read and told by my travel agent that you can buy one classic and one non alcoholic package - instead of forcing you to have both have the classic package . However when i called they said they needed a medical reason to grant an exception ... I said what if they are an alcoholic or just on a special diet ? - anyone dealing with this issue
Your travel agent is not giving you fully correct information. It used to be possible for one passenger to have one kind of package and the other to have a different package. But no more. However, the exception is for medical reasons, then one passenger can have the non-alcoholic, while the other has one of the alcohol packages. So what you were told on the phone is correct. You can get a medical exemption, but otherwise, both in the room must have the same package.

If you read social media sailing groups this always comes up often accompanied by CPAP machine
The consensus is it's the lesser of all evils to bring a non-surge extension cord and put it in your luggage that goes to the porter
Celebrity will provide you an extension cord and distilled water for a CPAP machine so no need to bring your own extension cord, which will likely be confiscated if you try

We have $575 for our next cruise. That seems substantial. Most of it was from booking on board at the Future Cruise Sales office.

You're on a Celebrity ship, so you can only book Celebrity cruises. No Royal Caribbean, no Princess, no Cunard. Celebrity only.
Where did you see this? We have always booked our Royal Caribbean cruises while on Celebrity and vice versa. Has something changed recently?

It throws the dinner service off if you arrive at your table too long after your assigned time. Fifteen minutes is ok, half an hour is pushing it, but much later and you may find the door closed

Confused about select dining reservations on E class
in Celebrity Cruises

Why Celebrity has not ever been able to fix this known problem is a mystery to me. It waste passengers time while they are making the phantom Reservations, it is annoying when they get on ship and find out that their reservations are merely ephemera, and it is a time waster for staff who had to continually explain the shortcoming.
