Yes, it is probably b/c of the life boat issue. We have run into this issue because we usually book 5 people in a room. An when my youngest was younger than 3, we could book a quad room and have him there with a pack-n-play. We ran into the issue of yes there is a quad room available but we don't have space for you 5th person...so we had to actually get a room that fits 6 for that sailing.

It probably just means all triple rooms are sold out...you could find this situation on any line because you are reserving close to the sail date.

We are cruising Thanksgiving week next year on Grandeur without three kids so the kid issue doesn't really phase us (we were on navigator's easter saling this year with almost 1000 kids and my kids had a BLAST!). We always cruise the first week of December (well except next year b/c we found an amazing deal and less missed school days for the kiddos). If you want to push back you sailing until then it is the perfect time to cruise in my opinion. Less kids, less craziness at airports but everyone is a festive mood bc it is holiday season!! Cruise prices are also pretty rock bottom that week too hence why we normally book!

Well I hope not because I just bought birthday magnets off Amazon b/c embarkation day is my daughter's 10th birthday!!

I am going to say no chance at all. My son was going to be three 2 days after we got home and they said no way no how and we still had to pay nursery. Sorry!!!

Adventure ocean can do it too!

We have taken 4 cruises with my youngest ranging from 19 months until just before 3 ( a week shy). When he was 19 months we used the pack and play and the last cruise when he was almost 3 we let him sleep in between us. The nursery was always great for him and I was happy he wasn't 3 yet b/c we were on the new navigator and he would of been in with all ages. The diaper only pool areas are really a pain, I mean I get why they do it but it is really hard to keep a stubborn toddler in the little areas when his older siblings are having fun elsewhere....I am so happy to say he is fully potty trained for our upcoming cruise in 45 days!!!!!

Hi, GalwayGirl. This is not something you sign up for in advance. It was on the Cruise Compass for the day and we just showed up at the time and place indicated. If you are traveling with friends, be sure to drag them along to help meet the required quorum of 8 customers and avoid the hemming and hawing that nearly derailed our class.
It was under the "For Foodies" section and called "Master the art of Martini Making."
Thanks!!! I will look into it!!! Do you remember the cost?

The 8 is better. Our 6 night in December is Costa Maya, Cozumel, Grand Cayman. We booked it for the VP suite.
We are in the sailing with you and we wanted a VP for this sailing b/c we had one on Freedom last year and it was AMAZING!! When we booked all the way in August of last year the 2 VPS were gone ( so you got one:)). We are in one of the new JS so I am sure it will be ok too. My friend is doing the 8 day after us and I am jealous b/c I love the Southern ABC...I wish we could get more time off work so we could of done a B2B with her. I am really looking forward to this cruise and the ports too!

Thanks!

I honestly like the freedom classes better than Oasis ( that is the only one I have been on)...I felt so crowded on Oasis like everywhere we went there was just so many people. Freedom was awesome for our kids but let me tell Navigator is my kid's favorite one!! ( I guess b/c of the slides and laser tag!)

I'm really looking forward to cruise and nothing is going to spoil it. Even an overly crowded Cozumel. I perused the excursions that are available for Georgetown and nothing looks as good as the one I have for Cozumel. We're going to stick to what we have and hope for the best.
We are going to snorkel with the turtles in Georgetown. We are so looking forward to it too...but our flights have changed so we have to fly down on US Thanksgiving night which is a little bit of a bummer but makes the vacation longer!

Im on the adventure sailing with you and I am nervous about this too...I am just going to give us extra time to get back to the port...but hopefully it won't be too bad...only 77 days until we set sail:)

We were on Navigator in April and there were tons of kids at playmakers at night playing with the fuzz ball tables and pool tables. It was 100% family oriented with games and tons of sports on the TV..I wouldn't worry about it!
-
Never had an emergency situation but I am sure they will get ahold of you if they need to....in the nursery you get a portable phone...with AO you don't get anything...I haven't used AO with my youngest b/c he just turned 3 since our last cruise and was just potty trained so can't help there but older kids no issue...you just have to get them out before 10pm to not incur payment...my older two LOVE AO..its one of their favorite things about cruising!!
-
We stayed at the Intercontinental..it was really nice..grea pool and beach access..but we did have to have our own car service but it was very nice!
-
We mostly cruise with our 3 kids...3, 7 and 9 now...We are loyal to royal. We stay in either Ultra Spacious Oceanview, some junior suites fit 5, or the VO or VP cats which all fit up to 6...hope this helps!

Price is more likely to go up, although you may see a sale. Harmony spring was $399 for South Beach, now $799. Waterpark are $1200. And they can sell out.
Book when you feel comfortable and if you see a sale cancel and rebook. Some risk during that process of somebody else getting your booking, but if they are not showing booked up you could book under somebody else's name and then do the cancel. Use same credit card since it takes a few days for the credit to process.
I am not buying it yet we are like 450 days out!!! We are also in a full suite so I am waiting patiently to see if and what suite only area looks like...I heard rumors of a private pool etc.
