  1. The roller coaster is fun.

Not to preach but no way I would do a dolphin tour. And after seeing a few of the places in the islands I’m flabbergasted that people actually support this type of cruelty to animals. It is very sad that people take part in this. Sorry. I just feel really bad for animals in captivity in general but I understand and accepts accredited zoos. However, these unregulated/unaccredited places are beyond the pale.

    Totally Agree!

  2. Had some very tasteless tilapia in my time. But it never gave me hives or caused my face to swell as farm raised salmon does every time a restaurant claims it is wild caught< I eat, react then DW insists on seeing the proof and always has been labeled Alaskan or farm raised Salmon.

    Hives are the worst!

I would never eat salmon if I thought I might get hives from it!

    I'd stick with chicken!

    Have a wonderful cruise.;)

  3. We cruise all times of the year and have often cruised during the summer/fall hurricane season. We’ve only had two issues in the past 30 years of cruising.

A few years ago, our summer eastern Caribbean cruise became a Western Caribbean cruise.

Last year we were on the Oasis (September ) last year when Irma hit. Our cruise could not return to Port Canaveral and we were delayed three days in returning. The seven night trip that was to follow ours was shortened to a four night cruise.

It really is somewhat rare that a cruise is canceled or shortened. It is only an issue when the storm is approaching the actual embarkation or debarkation port. Otherwise, the ships will change itinerary and avoid the storm.

    No need to stress.

    Enjoy

We also were detoured to a western itinerary on Freedom a few years back and were also on the Oasis last year when Irma hit.

Everyone seemed to love the 3 extra days on board. Not me, I just wanted to get back to Florida and see what damage my house suffered. No more cruising for me during the hurricane season.

  4. Before the cruise our Genie sent us an entire weekly itinerary. This included dinner each night at either a specialty restaurant or the coastal kitchen with the evenings entertainment we would be attending. I made a few changes to the schedule and sent it back to him. He promptly made the changes and sent it back to me, for final approval. This being said, you CAN make changes once aboard the ship. Even a few hours before doing them. Your Genie will be GREAT! and most likely will have everything arranged before you board so you will be 100% stress free and ready to enjoy Star Class.

  5. I love that the ck dining room is spacious.

We enjoy being able to eat a meal without hearing all of the conversations at the tables surrounding us.

The views are stunning, especially at sunset.

The staff is lovely and attentive.

The food is a tad better than the mdr.

    That is just my opinion.
