  1. Thank you! I didn't see listed but is Expresso and Cappuccino qualify under premium coffee?
  2. Wine: If I buy the bottle for dinner, do they still cork it for the following night?
  3. I just had this discussion with my agent yesterday. Thankfully, he put a courtesy hold prior to the Black Friday 75% off. He called Celebrity and found out they raided the base price and then applied the 75% off 2nd guest. I am saving $300 staying with Courtesy Hold price. I just paid down payment.
  4. I am trying to view the decks on the Constellation to see the available cabins. I was looking at the Concierge Class but they select the cabin for you. Is there another way to navigate the system?
  5. I have read many reviews about MSC.....not good. NCL embarks at Le Havre:
  6. I will search for the embarkation in Le Havre (arrive a few days early to visit Normandy & Paris) or disembark in Le Havre.
  7. I did that. Using Cruise Mapper, I can select cruise ship itineraries and individual ports. Info was not accurate. I'm just going to wait for the official info from RCL. I failed to be specific in my original post. I was very interested in Serenade of the Seas. July 10, 2024 sailing from Barcelona. 16 night Spain and Europe which included Le Havre for two days. This sailing is part of the World Sailing segment. Amazing itinerary! Unfortunately, I just received news from my doctor that I need a hip replacement and the July date would be unrealistic to be travel ready. Le Havre two-day was perfect for my husband to visit the Beaches of Normandy and we can enjoy Paris the next day. Valencia is my genealogy of my grandmother's birth place. RCL said it would not be repeating this cruise for 2025. I'm crushed. I am now researching a similar size ship (not 4,000+) and piece together an itinerary that includes a 2-day Le Havre and Spain.
  8. Thank you all for info. I received the answer from one poster that the European sailings will be available tmrw (11/8). I read all 900+ posts πŸ™„on link provided even though way too much info than I requested. Interesting question: How did poster know these 2025 sailings on individual ships? I checked the individual ports and the itineraries of each ship. These sailings were not noted.
  9. Someone in this thread answered the question that it us coming out sometime this week specifically for Europe. I just called Royal and they also confirmed that no European itineraries are posted for 2025.
  10. Anyone know when the 2025 Europe sailings will be posted?
  11. Hi Fellow Cruisers, I'm not new but have not sailed since pre COVID. Ships have changed and I read service as well. I have to reschedule our dream sailing for the third time.....hip surgery. The deal breaker is Le Havre France so my hubby can tour Normandy. He has been a saint and I owe this to him. After much research, I found different cruise lines but times have changed and I want this to be special.....for an anniversary too. THOUHTS ON THESE SHIPS/CRUISELINES: - Norwegian Sun - MSC - Royal Caribbean Thanks all
  12. I thought this was for the Caribbean Princess thread
  13. I am sailing in May 2024. Somewhere in this forum I was told that Planks and Steamers would not be open on that sailing. I just called Princess and they couldn't confirm anything. Does anyone know about this?
  14. I have a large suitcase that my husband gave me for my birthday to use on our cruise. I am worried it is too big to fit under the bed. Does anyone know how many inches of space is under the bed? Anyone can tell me the dimension of their large suitcase that fit under the bed? One more question: Does Princess provide storage for large empty suitcases while sailing? Thanks All
  15. I am sailing on the Caribbean Princess
  16. Well, here I am, Ms. Non Workout now going to PT 2x/wk for arthritis in hip, back and knee. Ortho wants me on a stationary bike. Right now, PT has me on a recumbent elliptical cross trainer (seat with pedals and arms) working towards the recumbent bike. My sail date is May 2024 for 27 days - Caribbean Princess I am really worried about keeping up with my exercise because arthritis can raise havoc if you don't work out those specific joints. I found pictures of the fitness center on the ship and assuming all Princess equipment is the same. The spinning bikes are all I see. Can someone tell me how adjustable those bikes are? I am 4'10". I need the seat to go down and forward but I don't see a "forward" mechanism from the pictures. Are there other bikes? Recumbent specifically? Treadmill is not an option because of the knee. Is there an actual way to contact the fitness center on the ship I am sailing to ask these questions?
  17. My ortho said that with PT and injections I can put off surgery for a very long time. Yes, I have had 2 injections - lasted about 6 weeks and it felt so much better. I quit my job, hired an aquatic trainer and do aquatic walking, bicycling and weights 4x/wk. I have 50lbs to lose which I know is a factor and I am not a fan of surgery if I can get in better shape. Arthritis is so unpredictable. One day good and flexible, the next bad. I am emotionally frustrated at the lack of support from friends and family. I explained my rehab plan which needs to be consistent with good diet and sleep. They listen with deaf ears and push for visits that are seven hours long in a car, babysitting young grandchildren and a surprise Easter visit with company of six adults, two grandchildren and babysitting three days while they take a mini vacation. My husband has been a saint and very supportive but when it comes to verbally confronting these scenarios he is passive. Although, he too has pushed me into this cruise and I have said many times I think this is too much for me right now. He now is joining me during the weekend at the pool swimming laps to help me get another day in at the pool. In the past, I was in advanced aerobic classes 4x/wk, sometimes doing back-to-back classes. Yesterday, was my first "Low Level" class. I did pretty well but had to modify some moves and was sore and stiff later in afternoon. Yet, this morning after my Tylenol regimen and much icing I am heading back to pool in a few hours to do my exercise. Just giving you an idea of what shape I am in. I think the rehabbing routine is doable but it takes time and consistency. I appreciate everyone's surgery comments, but in a month I will have to talk with my doctor on his thoughts and if that is wise at this time. Also, just getting scheduled is not that simple. It may be many months before that can even happen with the back-up in the medical field. So, now I feel a bit recluse in my social circle. I tried to explain all this to a friend that demanded we come over for a party dinner night. She now doesn't talk with me. So much for compassion. Our final payment is in June. If I have not made substantial walking progress. I will have to cancel and yes, then I may seriously schedule hip surgery.
  18. Do most shops/restaurants accept Visa? I didn't know if I should plan to exchange some currency before boarding ship.
  19. Most memorable cruise was a 2-wk Baltic w/pre-cruise in Paris to London then boarding ship in South Hampton. This was with Royal Caribbean in 2007 and it was 5-star with hotels and tours. The Baltic capitals were sensational especially the two day in St. Petersburg. I created a photo book and I loved reliving this cruise!
