  1. We will be in port in August. I was looking at getting a cab to get there versus taking the cruise tour. Would love to hear your views of the tour when you return from your visit.
  2. I take it that the ship is going to reposition soon to Fr. Lauderdale because that's where we are catching it in August so there are no drink limitations. Thanks for the info.
  3. Would anyone happen to have recently sailed on Adventure of the Seas who could provide a drink menu from the cruise? Thanks in advance. John
  4. I recently took a cruise that stopped at both St. Maarten and St. Kitts. I found it on both islands but I have never seen it at St. Thomas when I've been there.
  5. This is my 2nd time sailing on RCI. I usually sail on Carnival but the itinerary was one I haven't been on yet. So on Carnival I am able to purchase up to a $1000 of on board credit per cabin which equates to $500 for the bar and $500 for miscellaneous on board expenses. I was wondering if you can do the same on Royal Carribbean ships also. I use my credit card for all other expenses after that credit is exhausted and I don't really want to pay for the drink package because I drink but not enough during the day to justify the expense of the package. All responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  6. I don't believe on this cruise we go to Glacier Bay. Here are the ports and areas we will be going to.on this Northbound Alaska Cruise. Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska Juneau, Alaska Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska Sitka, Alaska Skagway, Alaska Cruise Hubbard Glacier Anchorage (Seward), Alaska
  7. We saw a video about that leg of the trip after the cruise and will most likely be doing that train ride also.
  8. We booked with Royal Carribbean for this cruise. We cruise more with Carnival but are now looking at other lines for itineraries versus the ships themselves.
  9. I am looking for recommendations on a tour or tour operator that would get my group over to the Captain Morgan distillery as well other areas around St. Croix. Thanks for the info.
  10. Thanks for all the recommendations from everyone. We booked our 2024 7 night Alaska trip leaving from Vancouver to Seward. I have searched the internet and am able to book the rail excursion that takes you to Denali which is the train my wife really wants to take which leaves from Anchroage to Denali through the tour company directly. I was also looking at the rail excursion in Skagway also. We always travel with passports no matter where we go when leaving the US so we will look at that excursion also.
  11. We are in the planning stages of our 2024 Alaska bucket list cruise. We are looking at cruiselines and itineraries to see what will fit into what we would like to see and do since this is our first time cruising Alaska. My wife's only request is that she wants to go on an excursion on a train that has the glass top. Has anyone gone on this train excursion and if so could you let me know what cruiseline you used and if it is cruiseline specific or is it port specific to be able to do this excursion? Thanks in advance for all input.
  12. I just sailed on the Magic for Christmas and during brunch the waiters brought a healthy option specialty drink menu around. I didn't get a picture of it and my wife really liked one of the drinks she got and I am trying to see if anyone may be able to get a picture of that menu so we can see what's in the drink so she is able to make it while at home. Thanks in advance.
  13. I will be on the Magic tommorrow for our 8 day Christmas Cruise. Counting down the hours until boarding....can't wait. It's our first cruise in 2 years and am so excited. This will be our 3rd time on the Magic. We will be visiting St. Kitts, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and the Dominician Republic.
  14. We are avid cruisers but have sailed mainly Carnival. We have completed one 4 day Bahamas Cruie with Royal about 7 years ago. We choose this ship due to the itinerary. We are sailing 8/12/23 to Tortola, BVI, St. Croix, USVI and Coco Cay. We haven't been to any of these islands as of yet. We have booked 2 connecting promenade rooms on deck 7. We would like to know what you liked about the ship as well as what you didn't like about the ship. We are excited about trying out this ship and itinerary. Thanks in advance for your input.
  15. My wife is a non-drinker also so I have always purchased the Bar Cash. I use the entire amount on my account because I figure about how many drinks that gets me a day and that's usually my daily limit on vacation anyway. So for me it works out and if I go over then I'm not spending very much out of pocket at the end of my cruise.
  16. Has anyone ever used Facebook messenger on the ship? What level of wifi did you purchase? We will be at sea on Christmas day and was thinking of using messenger to get ahold of family back home.
  17. We sre headed to Saint Martin on our Christmas cruise this year and while I was looking online for things to do in port, The Rusty Parrot came up as something fun to do with kids. Has anyone gone to this museum and if so what was your experience? Thank you in advance. Also, did you book your tickets in advance or buy your tickets once you arrived at the museum?
  18. Following along...will be on the Magic on 12/23 and looking to book to MG next year.
  19. I will be on the Magic on December 23rd and was wondering either all of the price increases happening, how it has affected the drink prices. I am mainly a beer drinker snd usually stick with Pig and Anchor products but I do partake in other brands while on board. If anyone may have a menu to share that would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Greerings everyone! We had a question on anyone's experience with cruising on Royal Carribbean with their service dog and the documents needed for the British Virgin Islands. We took our daughters Service Dog Teddy to the Bahamas in 2019 right before COVID started in 2020. That trip was on a Carnival 4 day Christmas cruise. Teddy did well on his first cruise but we did struggle with the location and size of the potty area for him since he is a 70 pound dog. We were looking at a 2023 cruise on Royal Carribbean that takes us to both St. Croix USVI and Tortola BVI as well as their private island in the Bahamas. Any and all info is greatly appreciated on your experience. Thank you in advance.
