  1. We were planning doing Pulpit hike ourselves getting ferry to tau and then bus to lodge where hike starts , the problem is we would have to get the 9 am ferry to then get 9.45 am bus but our port arrival time is 9 am so unless we dock early i see it as impossible , what are the possibilities of docking early does it ever happen? if not i see the option of us getting the 9,45 ferry and then a taxi(in may no bus service for the 9.45 ferry) , previous port will be in Norway so i don't think we will have to go through customs .

The next ferry with bus connection is 10.30 , the bus would get us to lodge at 11.45 to start hike this would mean getting bus back at 15.50 and if all went as planned we should be back in Stavenger for 17.15 , our departure from Stavenger is 19.00 i think this might be abit stressfull and the worry could spoil the day , so think might be worth paying taxi fare in the morning , any tips from people that have done this? I have heard some people get to pulpit in 1 1/2 hours other take 2 , and some never get there!!!

    TIA

So I received a Royal Up bid for our Freedom cruise in April.  I have a nice center hump balcony now, and have never cruised in a Suite before.  The Grand Suites look like they are all forward, under the pool deck.  Not sure I want to be under the pool deck.  Any one stayed in one had issues with noise from above?  What are the perks with the Grand Suite?  Will they be included?

    Thanks.

    Karen

I wonder the same thing i have a balcony cabin that i got to choose if i was offered an upgrade not sure i would bid for a suite if i did'nt know the exact position , i've also heard report on noise from pool deck .

As mentioned, check in does not affect price drops, assuming in your market you get any.

Get price drops until Final due even if you are checked in

Thankyou ,we had one price drop not long after we booked ,dont think will be anymore but can always hope !!

  4. We never use safe in hotels as i know its easy for them to open up with master key ,but will probably use safe on the cruise from what i read we put our own 4 digit code ?

I only usually travel with 4 tablets that in case of emergency i would need ,reading this might take double incase any disapear !!!

Your Compass will tell you what time you need to be out of your  cabin...usually by 7:30-8:00am. If you are not doing self disemabark you will be assigned a Zone number and time.  Until then you can roam freely on top and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or coffee. With a 1pm flight...you can relax and disembark leisurely

Thankyou , we will be self desembark ,so would beable to take our 3 small cases with us to breakfast after we leave cabin ? or do they still serve breakfast in cabin on last day?

  6. As others have said do you not have the option of sofa bed and pullman ,there are 3 of us traveling and i had booked online a room with sofa ,but when i phoned in they suggested we might be comfortable in another cabin with pullman and sofa and changed cabin with no extra charge.

  7. I see there is a cruiseshuttle that runs when cruiseboats dock that goes to centre and then direct to airport , on their website there is currently no price but i have read it is about 30euros each (there are 3 of us) , from info i have found a taxi should be about 70 euros if this is the case we would be just better getting the taxi, if anyone has any info on these 2 options it would be appreciated , i know we can also get a bus to centre and then train but really think at the end of cruise will prefer easier options as taxi price to me seems quite reasonable unless theres a catch somewhere.

    TIA

  8. Very interesting i had been thinking about getting one of the tp link travel routers , there is a slightly cheaper one

than the one you have also tplink will check to see the difference , very interesting what you have managed to do with your laptop , i wasnt planning on taking mine but not sure if it could be an option if i am able  to use it as hotspot but i supposed could depend on pc , the one i use for travel is only a cheap one and probably has a weak network card.

Unless your charger has European plug, you will need an adapter.

Or, there are a number of USB cubes that come with interchangeable plugs.

    Here is one - https://www.amazon.com/PISEN-Adaptor-Charger-Interchangeable-Compatible/dp/B078MCHNDN

I'm assuming you mean your phone charger has a Schuko type F plug (Spanish standard)?  The ship will have both 220v Schuko F and 110v US type B outlets.

Yes thankyou if there is a european soc ket we will be fine.

I also always travel with 2 powerbanks for backup away from plugs .
