Live reports make me nervous in that they are only as good as the internet speeds on board. I wanted to do a “as if” but since I am having knee replacement surgery less than a week later after I get back I am going going to do it live. I can’t wait to cruise on Navigator next October to review the Bamboo Room. Unfortunately I don’t think they will be able to do the authentic tiki recipes that I’m used to to but I am ok with that.

Lime & Coconut. Curious if their Mai Tai is any good. -
That’s so wrong on so many levels. I wish you could report him but he is probably just a freelancer. We have gotten approached by several drivers at airports saying they are independent and have a taxi license. They say they are cheaper than a taxi or Uber but after doing it I found out they were more expensive.

Im not sure how old but it seems old here is a link to my Dropbox for you to download. It’s the least I can do for all your hard work. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/eqej242x4t41s2yntma53/rccl-recipeguide-training.pdf?rlkey=m5zdtpgh1s0xyehribc5cy0zh&dl=0 I saw the video about the new cocktails being invented for Icon. Boy I’d like to have that job. Keep up the great work Cheers! -

Mind if I asked where you got the list? Is it their bartenders training guide? I have a old one. -
Thank you for your information. We should be ok as our cruise on Adventure leaves October 21st. We are coming in two days early on the 19th so hopefully we will miss the crowds. There is a part of me that would like to see the boat show. I will check out your other links to check them out too. Yes I am disappointed that the Mai Kai will not be finished yet. Luckily we will cruise out of FLL again in April so hopefully it will be done by then.

Wow incredible pictures. Those icebergs look amazing. That happens every cruise for me. I hope you have a great celebration. Dirty the only way to go! Beautiful!! My surgeon says 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. I do the ice machine during the day but not at night. At night I have to sleep on my back which is hard because I am a side sleeper and I have to keep my leg straight and elevated. Needless to say I don’t sleep well for the first 6 weeks.

Interesting recipe. The Amaretto is meant to simulate the Orgeat. I’m not sure what the grenadine is to replace. I will want to try this. One thing I’ve learned is that Royal Caribbean’s drink recipes are pretty basic. They can’t and understandingly so can’t be a custom craft cocktail bar but they do their best with the liquors they can get. I make a version of a Old Fashioned with Melitti Amaro. I know they don’t have it so I can’t order my version. For the most part they do a great job with custom cocktails. -

No problem. Thanks! I have experimented with several Mai Tai recipes. There is no way Royal can do some of the original Victor Jules Bergeron recipe from Trader Vic’s recipe. I follow as a tiki nut Kevin Crossman’s website https://ultimatemaitai.com/about/the-ultimate-mai-tai/ where he has created the closest original Mai Tai recipe: Ultimate Mai Tai Recipe ½ oz Appleton Estate Rare Casks Aged 12 Years ½ oz Smith & Cross Traditional Jamaica Rum ½ oz Plantation OFTD ½ oz Plantation Xaymaca 1 oz Lime Juice ½ oz Orgeat (Latitude 29) ½ oz Orange Curacao (Ferrand Dry Curacao) ¼ oz Demerara Syrup (BG Reynolds) Garnish with mint sprig and spent lime shell This recipe is awesome and I highly recommend it. I am anxious to try Royal’s version and compare.
