  1. I'm glad we found out now vs sooner. It's just very stressful trying to replan for a party of 8 when I had things bought and booked as it was a Christmas gift. I know anything can and will happen. The $25 OBC is major salt in the wound if you ask me. All the work I already did and will have to redo and I'm not comming out ahead. I already had OBC banked. We will have a wonderful time no matter what. Just stinks when we had so much planned and paid in advance.

  2. Just got a letter from CCL saying our cruise is canceled due it being now Chartered. This is horrible news for is as we have so much already booked and now back to the drawing board. It's super hard to find a time where my youngest does not miss a bunch of school and this was the perfect fit. Top it off this was our Christmas gift to my oldest and his family. I'm so very sad

  3. OH MY... sure sounds like a "memorable" cruise. I hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction.

I'm not sure how I would feel in this situation. While I understand anything can and will happen.... and I would still be grateful to on vacation vs at work but...

~ I would be very upset if my family was moved when we expected to be next door especially in attached balconies.

~ I would be upset that my room flooded and I had fan everywhere.

~ I would be LIVID to find my door left open with no one tending to my room.

All this move your stuff to your dads room is not up to my satisfaction either. What a pain that would be.

You could invoke your vacation guarantee and we asked to be removed off the ship?? I really hope you where able to make lemonade out of these lemons!!! I do understand where your upset!

  4. We own that cot and love it. Our 4 year old uses it all the time, at Grandparents house, camping at hotels.

We just returned from a cruise and I packed the cot, but we ended up not using it. I thought that the 2 year old would sleep in the pac n play and the 4 year old on the cot and that we would have more room.

But, we actually pulled the sofa bed out and they both LOVED sleeping on it and they slept very well together. Even for naps!

I was hoping our rooms had a sofa bed then we would put the kids there for sure. But no sofa on our room. We are thinking the 3.5 year old "may" be OK in the upper but the 18month old will not be.

We are just trying to think of all options.

  5. I'm so sad its almost over! I always love your reviews.

I'm taking my little grandsons on the Big Boat this Oct. They will be 18 month and 3.5. Please give me your best advice so I can pass it on to there mom and dad. I'm super excited to be doing a family cruise yet nervous about how it will go with the kids being so young.

Our next cruise is on NCL this March too.. would love to be sailing with you for a few High Five's. Do let us know over here when your review is posted incase we forget to check over there!

  6. Drury Inn - can't beat the perks at this chain. Breakfast, quasi-dinner (bar food), 3 drinks at happy hour, free long distance and wifi all included. Plus this particular location is in a stunning building.

We love the Drury it's our go to each time in town. I love the perks they give you. I don't love the prices keep going up. 5 years ago we paid less than $100 now it's close to $200 per night. Everything goes up and up these days :(

  7. I found this travel cot at Walmart today. I was thinking it might be ideal for the grandkids as they may not fair well in the uppers and better than the floor. I also figured if mom and dad could train them now to sleep in it doing so on vacation might not be such a shock???? Thoughts

  8. There used to be a site where I could go find info on each cruise ship (besides GoCCL as we can no longer access) such as which stateroom are connecting, which balconies open to the next, where the laundry is etc. I swear I had it booked marked but low and behold I cant find it.

Any ideas where I can go look?
