  1. I have never been able to get one of those points-only $5 gift cards that are advertised through the daily deal.

     

    I tap the "Add to shopping cart" the moment it activates at 3:00pm and immediately get the message that all items are already in shopping carts.


    I feel less slighted by losing the daily spin because you know that's a game of chance. But no where does it say that the gift card daily deal is limited quantities.

    On Carnival? What ship(s)?  I have never heard of this before.

    I asked guest services why couldn’t I just do that and replace the ones in my room to reverse the charge and she was like no you cant do that. Lol. It is only $3.95 so I didn’t wanna get frustrated over it. I was just inquiring while applying a gift card to my statement. 

     

    Even though the bottle in the room and the free one you get from a bar look identical, the contents are different. I understand that the free one is actually diluted and watered down. 😁

    They won’t let you into the check-in terminal early. But you can drop off your luggage and they advise you to wait in a little temporary building next to it.  Just an empty room with seats.

  5. Some other consideration points in favor of purchasing Cheers:

    • No need to waste time going to the lame Platinum/Diamond reunion for the free drink(s). Unless you like sitting in a lounge with 500 people waiting for the server to eventually pass by with a tray *not* filled with dirty empty glasses…. Or unless you like watching the exciting slide show of the Carnival ships for the umpteenth time.
    • No need to rush to the steakhouse on the first or second night for the free bottle of house wine which may or may not taste like vinegar.
    • No need to sit through an art auction for the free glass of Champagne while observing people bid on pictures that honestly don’t look right on anyone’s living room wall… seriously nobody really buys that pastel painting of dogs in heaven or picture of animated olives smoking cigars on a martini glass.
    • No need to worry about missing that narrow timeframe opportunity when you are able redeem your free VIFP drink coupon.

    Thought problem #2:  How will you feel and react when the prices don't go down, but instead they increase by a significant amount over what you could purchase today?

    Thought problem #4: Thinking someone can post what’s on their mind without getting snide and condescending remarks like these.

  7. I have experienced with United that if you check bags too early, they are put on an earlier plane to your destination and arrive there hours before you. Then you need to visit the baggage representatives to pick them up, rather than from the carousal. Depending on the time of day, this can be major aggravation. Been there. Done that. Twice.

     

    The good news is that if you use their app or you provided a cell phone number, you'll get an SMS alert

    I placed an order on Monday. Got the eGC within a few minutes. Check your spam folder. It comes from vcdelivery.com.
