Sailed on Silhouette last week , thoroughly enjoyed ourselves not as much choice on main menu as in previous years , but there was always something I fancied the pork loin with red cabbage was my favourite, I liked the salmon with the hollandaise sauce , I don’t like potatoes much anyway , if you don’t like the mash you can ask for chips or boiled potatoes the bread basket every night was fab , the soups ( we had butternut and broccoli , both delicious , ) though I wasn’t so keen on the French onion soup desserts were also good , but I’m quite happy to have creme brûlée every night ! the chocolate fondant , a soufflé , cheesecake … all delicious

Hi @ladylemondrop We were on the previous cruise and had a wonderful time ( even though Mother Nature did her worst and we had a bit of a reroute ) We thought the food was fine , plenty of it and so much choice ( only putting on 3lb was a bonus !) Enjoy your cruise holiday

We used Insure & Go , but our cruise is Europe , we already had annual cover , and just added the cruise cover on when we booked , if I recall correctly it was about £180 for the 2 of us ( including the add on for the cruise ) However , I’ve just done a test quote using our details and a trip to Barbados as a guess destination came up with the same price range as you have been quoted

We did a Med cruise in the summer holidays , our DC ( teens at the time ) had a whale of a time , we hardly saw them , they enjoyed the midnight pool parties , treasure hunts etc There were crafts and arts activities as well We liked seeing the little crocodile of tots with the nannies / nursery assistants ( as we snoozed on the sun beds ) As it’s a school holiday cruise , from Southampton ( I assume ) there will be lots of British families on board We’re on the August 29th sailing , no Dc with us this time they’re all grown up ( counts days .. )
