With the average drink price in a bar on HAL at about $8 which is much cheaper than most land bars, why would you want to smuggle any booze aboard the Ship (not a boat). Spent this past week at a Renaissance Hotel and Manhattan's were $13.95 each, but I was on an expense account, now that was some expensive drinking.
Thats like $50 Canadian 😂😳🤣

I know about the beverage and the soda cards our TA gave the adult eacha beverage card and the kids a soda card its the other 2
-
I got this email from guest services what are the wine pour and cocktails card
“Guests can also pre-purchase soda fountain cards, Explorations Café coffee cards, house pouring wine cards or signature cocktail cards.”
-
I would just pay one cash, or you could both go down and pay you half to the front desk in cash
there was no tax on it

I was told aboard the Amsterdam that I could not get delivered by room service anything that was not on the room service menu. We were in a NS on a GV, and I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich. So . . . I would not be too optimistic about chicken wings being delivered.
I think he just want chicken wings in general, we wont let him order food to the room anymore, no one likes the smell. On disney the teens could get pizza until 1 am ( the youth leaders ordered them in)

My teens had a hard time getting "late night" food on our last cruise. I second the "get food from Lido and keep in room" idea. Sometimes room service can take awhile. Just my 2 cents.
Are you on the NA for the Apr 14th to Mexico?
March 23 ( our spring break)

Looks like he will be ordering room service in his cousins room lol.
-
Ypu have to pay the whole cruise, i am not sure about embarkment day we order it before we leave home. We had 4 of us in the cabin, with 2 kids we were sending out a bag in the morning and a bag before dinner.

I got this email today
Thank you for your recent correspondence with Holland America Line. The following beverages are included in the price of your cruise fare: juice, milk, tea, and regular, or decaf drip coffee. Specialty coffee drinks, cappuccinos, alcohol and soda are additional expenses that will be billed to your on board account.
Our Signature Beverage Package is a convenient, affordable beverage package that allows guests to select from a variety of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails (including non-alcoholic), sodas, bottled water (sparkling 330ml or still 500ml) and coffee. Our Signature Beverage Package is limited to 15 drinks per day with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. This includes any beverage priced at $9.00 or lower menu price and does not include beverages in your mini-bar, in-room dining, chocolate seduction and on the Half Moon Cay.
The Signature Beverage Package can be purchased pre-cruise at a rate of $51.69 per person per day ($44.95 + 15% service charge) or on board at a rate of $57.44 per person per day ($49.95 + 15% service charge). This must be purchased for the full duration of the voyage and all guests over the age of 21 years in the stateroom must purchase the package; this is available for purchase on days one and two of any respective voyage.
Our Signature Beverage Packages include the 15% services charge. No additional charge is applied to the guest’s onboard account for drinks ordered within the terms and conditions of the package.
Holland America Line also offers our Elite Beverage Package. Guests can enjoy beverages including wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages; limited to 15 drinks per day and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. This includes any beverage priced at $15.00 or lower menu price and does not include beverages in your mini-bar, in-room dining, chocolate seduction and on the Half Moon Cay. This also includes access to the Freestyle soda machine on the ms Koningsdam and the ms Nieuw Statendam only. This package must be purchased for the full duration of the voyage and all guests over the age of 21 years in the stateroom must purchase the package; this is available for purchase on days one and two of any respective voyage.
Participants may order only one drink at a time; no sharing of the packages are permitted. Packages are not transferable or refundable. Beverage management reserves the right to revoke the package if misused and reserves the right to refuse service for any reason; including refusing service of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated customers.
If you decide that the Signature Beverage Package doesn't provide adequate beverage options, you have the option of upgrading from promotional Signature beverage package to the Elite beverage package. The can be done on board the ship on the first day of the cruise by paying the difference in cost. All guests in the stateroom who are 21 years old must also upgrade the package.
Guests can also pre-purchase soda fountain cards, Explorations Café coffee cards, house pouring wine cards or signature cocktail cards. You may also bring soda or bottled water onboard for consumption in your stateroom.
Please feel free to contact us if we may be of additional assistance or visit us online. We look forward to welcoming you onboard in the near future!
Kind Regards,
Philip

In some US states (Florida for example) an extra 7% state tax is added when you are in a Florida port, or sailing from one Florida port to another, e.g. Tampa to Key West.
What about San Diego?

If my cruise next month on the Nieuw Amsterdam happens to not count the non-alcoholics, then I'll be happy to upgrade from Signature to Elite. Wife and I drink lots of bottled water with our wine and cocktails, and also enjoy multiple specialty coffees and sodas each day. We would hate to use up over half our daily ration on "cheap" beverages if we got the Elite.
I see on the boards they dont count the non alcoholic but even today customer service is still saying 15 total, we are on the NA in 3 weeks

Are there any lesser-talked-about items you can get with the EBP that you can't get with the SBP? For instance, I read in another thread that someone attended the mixology class for free by having the EBP (it counted as a single drink since it was $15/pp). Are there other more "hidden" things like that that would make the EBP more appealing if one isn't too picky on alcohol or wines?
Its not hidden its listed right on the package hand out
