Maybe I'm being a little opinionated here, but the cabins look outdated and the bathroom isn't that great either since the shower has a curtain and not a door. I also feel that the color of the vanity doesn't look great either. What do you think though?

I think I would rather be there than sitting at my desk at work. Regardless of decor.

I'm going in a couple of weeks and we are using https://exploreroatan.net/excursions/
Splurged and got the Super Combo. We are not drinkers and the sloths and iguanas were MUST DO for us. I emailed the operator and they are also going to stop at the chocolate factory for us. https://theroatanchocolatefactory.com/

I had a credit from a canceled September 2022 cruise. Saw the sale and booked a 6 day on the Magic for December 2023 for $700 (cove balcony). Put down my deposit and applied my credit so it was only $400.

My cruise is March 26 and I was able to upload all information today. Have not received the email but someone in my cruise group let the rest of us know it was possible.

Thank you all so much!! @Darlee50and @LadyMac72I have now found the Tracy Arm fjord one through your help ☺️ very much appreciated!
Glad to hear Icy Strait Point excursions are showing up for other bookings, but I too am in the May 2nd sailing @RazorPokesHoney. I'll check back later with the page, see if it pops up. Or look into the local charters! May I ask what you're doing for that port? My first non Caribbean cruise (aside from a Canadian one when I was much younger), it's been exciting seeing everything that's new to me!
You will LOVE the Tracy Arm Fjord excursion. It was our favorite by far. We didn't do anything in Icy Strait Point but I heard there was seriously good whale watching while we were there. I wish I had booked it.

I'm on the sailing that departs 3/26 and it looks like there are rooms still available in all classes (I did a mock booking last night).

Tracy Arm Fjord excursion can only be booked under Seattle. It may show up in other stops but you won't be able to book it that way. We did it in September and it caused angst until I figured it out.

Looks like it... but John is supposed to say more on it sometime soon.

Per John Heald, bubble tours will no longer be required for the unvaccinated.

This was a first for me. I've had Carnival call and offer an upsell or send me an email about a special deal but this surprised me. I checked my May 28 Ecstasy 5 day cruise on my Cruise Manager and a pop-up appeared offering an upsell from an interior to a balcony for $200 total. Since I have myself and my 2 DDs in the same room I thought "heck yes!" and clicked on the button to approve the upsell. All went through and the modification is reflected in the Cruise Manager. I was lucky I checked on my cruise so I could take advantage of this.
Anyone else have an upsell like this?
I got an upsell but it was by email, not by website. We also got a balcony on our March sailing for an extra $200. Good deal and I snatched it up. Enjoy!

We loved it! My favorite excursion in Alaska. This is the view of the glacier from the balcony of the ship. We got much closer. It was awesome.

I read an article about a Honduran baleada, which is a tortilla stuffed with refried red beans, Honduran cream and cheese. It made my mouth water and I love trying authentic foods from places I visit. Has anyone found a really good one?
In case anyone wants more information on them: https://www.roatanet.com/what-is-a-baleada/

They don't offer non-alcoholic spirits, it's simply (in the case of Alchemy) a unique combination or making a traditional drink sans spirits.
If someone can produce a non-alcoholic cosmo, I would be a fan for life!

WAIT!!! I can order a non-alcoholic mocha chocolate getaway?????
Hold my beer!
I don't drink alcohol so this is great news. I know they have zero proof wine and N.A. beer, but I used to be a fan of the flavored vodka martinis..... like the cosmo. Your list gives me some hope. Thanks!

In a similar vein - non alcoholic wine allowed to carry on?

Where is tea time held?
On the Miracle it was the upper level of the Bacchus Dining Room. On the Paradise it was in the library.

if you leave out of a port, see what people suggest from there. like i live in florida. we usually sail out of Tampa. getting to see the ship pass under the Skyway bridge is really cool. it looks like the ship will barely fit, but they usually drop the ship a few feet just in case. and if you are leaving out of Tampa late enough, seeing the bridge all lit up at night is beautiful.
How long does it take from the port to the Skyway bridge? We're sailing out of Tampa in March and don't want to miss it.

On your sea days, take advantage of tea time. I go every time I am on the ship. Hot cup of tea and little pastries is a wonderful mid-afternoon snack.

Has anyone used Justin Island Tours in Mahogany Bay? Someone in a group mentioned them and I am looking at them for March 28. Thanks!

I'd love to do Sitka. I'd go to Fortress of the Bear.

This is fantastic to hear. I've been having some anxiety over booking outside of my cruise line but then on the other hand I want to be able to the things I want on my cruise and have fun too
Me too! Especially since it's my son's birthday trip (March). We haven't gone yet but is outfit has been VERY good with communication. I gave a small deposit ($18pp I think) and will pay cash for the difference on the excursion.

I was excited to read this thread and I booked a snorkel trip with them for our trip, which happens to be on my son's birthday. The said that they could provide a cake (for a fee) for him on the excursion. They also provide drinks, fruit and guacamole included.
-
It was on the Miracle in September but the wait staff didn't recommend it... said it was more like a hangar steak than Wagyu. I went with the filet instead and was not disappointed.

I haven't gone yet (my excursion date is March 29) so this is NOT a recommendation.
We are doing the snorkel excursion through www.carnivalcruiseexcursions.net (for some reason I cannot link it here). It's $50 pp and includes guacamole, fruit and non-alcoholic (as well as alcoholic) beverages. We don't drink alcohol so that's why we picked this one.
