If my family watches the port cam what side of the ship should I try and wave from and when?

The port side will face the camera as you depart. It is located here - once you pass the stately homes:

Unless you have previously requested a "wave" the camera probably will pan past you unless you have something like a flag to catch their interest. The camera will linger on those who have requested a wave. (Too late to request one now.)

You should either be in a port/aft balcony stateroom or suite or next to a port/aft railing to be seen. Wearing distinctive colored clothing also helps. I've found yellow is easy to spot.

They won't sell me two drinks if my husband isn't with me. We both have to be present. They scan your room key so that they can log the number of drinks you have per day.

I have never had a problem getting 2 alcoholic drinks at a time - whether DH was with me or not, whether from a server or at the bar. DH orders a double gin & tonic plus a double wine at the beginning of all MDR meals - I order just a cocktail and a soft drink then.

I made a reservation for Tamarind a few weeks ago for our August cruise. Now I see they have noted “delivered to dining room” on my reservation details. That will not be nearly as fun.

That's also on our reservations for Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto when choosing "View My Purchases" on "My Itinerary" (HAL Website). Just means the meals will be provided in the selected venue. Does not mention MDR.

Good to know that HAL will generally honor the lower price if there is a change. We signed up pretty late for our Alaska cruise this July and just signed up for our excursions. How do I find out what the original excursions prices were? I’d love to know whether HAL increased prices.

The references to HAL honoring the lower price were when someone books the HAL excursion, and it later increases in price. It does not mean that you will get the lower price if you book after a price increase.

  5. @Smithwick did you try the e-address mentioned on the Stockholders Benefit page (https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit)? I did and received a timely reply to my question.

The page has this message: For information regarding Stockperks’ use and processing of your information, technical support, account setup, and all other questions regarding the use of Stockperks, please contact Stockperks at carnivalcorp@stockperks.com.

  6. Here's what I posted 5 hours ago in the thread "Thank you HAL for the quick stock credit approval."

If you go to the Stockholders Benefit page (https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit) you will see this: For information regarding Stockperks’ use and processing of your information, technical support, account setup, and all other questions regarding the use of Stockperks, please contact Stockperks at carnivalcorp@stockperks.com.

Last week I sent a request for help to that e-address and received a reply asking me to e-mail the following:

    - reservation details (full name, reservation number, date of sailing, the cruise line & ship name and email address associated with the booking)

    - an image of proof of Carnival stock ownership (official share certificate or brokerage statement from within the last 3 months) - on the document we need to see your name, the brokerage name, a date and how many CCL shares you own.

I did that. Within 2 business days it had been submitted, and I received a note from Gus Antorcha that I would hear within 5 business days if it had been approved. Within hours, I received an e-mail that the OBC had been successfully applied.

Stockperks has been saying since December that they will have a desktop computer version ready "in the very near future."
